Hi.
I live in Australia and am thinking of purchasing a Vibroslim ultra vibration platform through the Australian T.V Shopping chsnnel TVSN.
However I would like to know whether the Vibroslim Platform has the walk, jog, run feature (depending on the width apart of ones stance/feet) as with the Powerfit vibrating platform.

Hi Lulu, thank you for your query. Yes the VibroSlim Ultra offers similar features in that we have 3 pre-set programs targeted to fitness level. The programs are like that of the interval training on a treadmill. 1. Beginner 2. Intermediate 3. Advanced - the speed automatically increases and decreases. The positioning of the legs on the platform will activate different muscles in both the legs and the glutes depending on their position, so can mimic walk, jog, or running. We just got our machine today and 10 mins is great. My question is if I start my first session in the morning before work, is 20mins ok? follow by another 20min in the evening when I get back from work?

I have used my machine for half an hour morning and night on some occasions but i am sure it depends on each persons fitness level - i do a lot of walking and physical work for my job so it seems ok

Hi TonyT, we recommend full body training no longer than 20 minutes approximately 3 to 4 times a week with proper rest and recovery time in between workouts. This will give your muscles time to recover from the workouts. You can stretch and massage on the machine every day. Each persons fitness level is different however, so if you feel comfortable using your machine more often and have had clearance from your GP if you have any health conditions, then you can use it as often as you like! As soon as you turn the machine on & stand on it the vibrations start.All i can liken the vibration to is heavy duty wobbbling which shakes all parts of your body whatever exercises you do.This machine vibration as far as i know is none of what you were asking.

Hello I am an active 52 year old woman recently diagnosed with osteoporosis ( on treatment for breast cancer which was treated a few years ago and that treatment can affect bone density). I walk a lot and hopes this added workout could help with bone density - any comments appreciated on how it goes on with bone density improvement?

Hi Gabrielle, we haven't had any specific feedback from wheelchair bound customers on using our Vibroslim machines, and as each person is different we would advise all wheelchair work be on a 'one to one' basis with an experienced exercise practitioner who can tailor your program to your circumstances. There are a number of upper body exercises that can be performed on the VibroSlim machines, but if in doubt consider asking your GP to provide a referral to a physiotherapist/exercise physiologist for who can develop a program specific to your needs. I am finding that I get very itchy when using VibroSlim, is there anything I can do to relieve this problem?

Hi Lyndi, we are sorry to hear that this is causing you discomfort. As the VibroSlim drastically stimulates circulation and blood flow, your capillaries dilate and freshly oxygenated blood starts to flow into areas that were previously suppressed, allowing increased blood flow and pushing your toxins through your veins at an elevated rate. This can sometimes cause itching or tingling which is usually a temporary side-effect which goes away after a few minutes or sessions of training. We suggest continuing to use the machine regularly to see if this improves, as your increased blood circulation starts to show the difference after vibration training. Yes - sometimes get that as well when not having used it regularly but as the explanation from Vibroslim states it does go away and is harmless - will not happen when used regularly. The stimulation will also warm you up when you tend to be cold.

Hi Lyndi, that happens to me. But I think if you use it everyday this itchy feeling will go. Try putting your feet together and maybe have it on a lower setting. I find that this helps. Leebee

How noisy is this machine when operating? Just curious whether you could realistically use it when someone else is watching tv?

Hi Michael, thanks for your question. The machine does emit sound as the motor works to increase speed/frequency, but isn't overpoweringly loud. I wouldn't recommend using this in the same room as someone else when watching TV as it could be distracting, and noise is best reduced when the machine is placed on a soft flat floor (or mat). Hi,
to-day I tried a Smart Easyfit vibrating machine at a shopping centre at 60 speed and It didn't vibrate my head
and enjoyed the experience.I was also told the at this speed for 10 minutes a day I would lose 120 calories.
I tried another machine elsewhere and it shook my head and made me feel ill and quickly had to get off. I had
to sit down and recover. Does yours vibrate the head?
I would appreciate your honesty to my questions. I'm a senior on a pension, so I cannot waste my money.

The range of speeds also differ in each machine, for example - speed of '10' on one machine may be the equivalent of speed '20' on another machine. We don't have an equivalent set of speeds for the Easyfit vs VibroSlim machines, so it hard to say what their equivalent of '60' speed is. I have a non-displaced fracture of the right tibia and a meniscal tear, as a result of twisting the knee when I slipped in mud about 5 weeks ago. I also have OA in that right knee. I am wondering when I can safely resume using my vibroslim and which exercises would assist my rehabilitation.
