Bought brand new fully optioned Highline with R-line package. Loved the car, perfect in every way until......after 4 months and about 3,000kms the following issues started: Major DSG problems- harsh grinding noises during gear changes which needed mechantronics replacement- still hasn't completely fixed the problem (which the dealer actually tried to charge me for- big $$$$). Shortly after this the cooling system went, left me stranded in a pool of coolant- apparently the radiator cracked- (it was a 22 degree day). Took 4 weeks to get parts and...Read more
complete the work (no courtesy car of course). Few weeks later 4motion AWD issues- the car started sounded like an "ex-taxi" diff when de-accelerating. VW were adamant it was "normal characteristics". Electric seat adjustment just stopped working. Rain sensing wipers couldn't tell the difference been monsoon rain and fog (apparently that is normal). To top it off VW dealer and head office couldnt be more useless if they tried and would actually try charge me for warranty repairs on a car less than 6 months old. My first and last car from the VW group. I feel sorry for anyone who owns one after warranty runs out. $$$$Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great quality and practical 7 seater. Killer engine.
2 months and 2000km into ownership of our high line 162 tsi high line with sound and vision, panoramic sun roof and R line pack. All positive, interior quality is high, and the engine especially in sports mode goes like the clappers. The extra 2 seats in the rear don’t offer enough room for adults for long trips but have come in handy for the kids and their friends. Shopped around for a while before buying and for the features at the price nothing compared. Love it!
Purchased in July 2021 for A$59,000.00.

Noise
Bought car in 2022 top of line great around town but very noisy on open road not impressed for a $60000 plus car thought in would. Preform better for a car of that value
Purchased in December 2021.

Best Car I've Owned
This is our weekend car. Its used mostly by my partner. We have already had the screen replaced under warranty and had the Panoramic Sunroof harness changed under a service campaign. But the car is great. Made in Germany.
Purchased in May 2021 at Kevin Denis VW for A$54,750.00.

Volkswagen Tiguan 5N Highline Worst car Ive owned very disappointing.
2/10. Worst new car iv owned.
While using the cruise control it will track and pace the car in the right-hand lane, So when youre travelling in the centre lane, For example if there is no vehicle in front of me and Im doing 100 but the vehicle in the right-hand lane is doing 80... the car will slow down and paste the car in the right-hand lane. Spoke to Volkswagen they said this is how the cruise control operates and cannot be changed. Terrible. I found myself travelling in the furthest right-hand lane to avoid this which is not good road pr...Read more
actice. We had a groaning sound coming from the front and I took it to Volkswagen and they said they would not fix it until the next service because it was a big job so we had to put up with it for 14,000 km. They expressed this is quite common throughout the Volkswagen Tiguan range apparently. Our car was diesel, so not only did the car not meet the fuel consumption guidelines Volkswagen publish we also had to use an additional fluid called adblue. 10L tank that was expressed would last from one service to another (15000km) however we ended up filling it up approximately every 6000 to 7000 km. The low adblue warning comes on approximately 2000 km remaining, And until you fill this up you will get a warning every single time you start your car and have an warrning light shining the whole time until you fill this up. However, the Volkswagen dealership told me you cannot add more of this until the car is requesting it if you put it in before the car is requesting it, it will not know how much quantities left this could become very difficult if you are planning a long trip and your car starts requesting the fluid and you dont have the opportunity to put any in. If this adblue runs out your car will not start and will need to be towed to a service dealership. There was a recall with the sunroof from Volkswagen, whilst removing the sunroof they damage the rubber surround and then refused to repair it claiming it was unavoidable with the recall repairs set out by VW.Purchased in June 2021 for A$66,500.00.

Perfect economical family car!!
We purchased the VW Tiguan Allspace 6 weeks ago brand new and couldn’t be happier!! It is the perfect size for our family and the extra seats have come in handy on numerous occasions. We purchased the 2.0L Turbo Diesel and it fuel efficiency is outstanding!! We use this car for our everyday driving to and from school drop off, work and kids after school activities. So plenty of short local trips done. Have also done a couple of long distance trips to test fuel consumption and couldn’t be happier!! Well done VW you have produced a reliable and economical family car.

Tiguan R line
We’ve replaced our beloved Amarok with another veedub only because the Amarok didn’t have rear passenger airbags. We are actually glad we’ve made the swap because this model is leap and bounds from the previous model it replaced. The look first and foremost, looks mean and aggressive with its lines and bulges. The R line made this even a head turner with its 20in wheels and smoked lights. The extras we’ve got made this like an autonomous car, car assist and added safety features were most welcomed and works well. It’s definitely a solid build and the only gripe is because it’s so good, I see a lot of it on the road. Lastly, it drives like a petrol, meaning it’s quiet and the torque! It’s awesome.

Best car i have ever driven
Got the 140 TD r line 6 months ago and has done so far 17000 km the performance is great the torque of the diesel is amazing the noise level is very low and the Pirelli tyres very quiet . the seats are very comfortable for a tall person like me 6ft2 .with enough legroom . Also quality materials are used inside with enough storage space all around
Overall very happy with the car
I am now sitting on 28 k use the car often on dirt roads and performs like it should no rattles no dust inside had a puncture but the self sealing tires got me where...Read more

Excellent compromise between comfort and practicality
I bought my new gen Tiguan 2.0TDI Highline in November 2016, and 8,000km on I have nothing but praise for it. I purchased the car in Christchurch from Miles Continental (the best dealer experience I have ever had) and drove straight back to Auckland - a distance of exactly 1,000km. The car is incredibly spacious and very quiet at cruising speeds, handles well (it's really quite sporty) while retaining an excellent ride. Economy was great too, averaging 5.9l/100km - pretty good for a brand new engine.
For the price, the equipment level is very ...Read more

Just love this car...
This car cost twice what my first house cost to build, back in 1976, but I love it. Smooth, silky gear changes that are barely noticeable, power to move when I want it, gadgets to help make up for my increasing loss of faculties, space, comfort and that amazing panoramic sunroof. Clever bright lighting to help me find the car and get into it, to see around corners and read street numbers, the instrument panel that I can change around, the only thing it lacks is a massaging function on the seat, which is an option overseas. The options don't all...Read more
ow me to call it a 140 TDI R-Line, but that is what it is. I use the radar cruise control and lane control full-time, but disable the stop-start function. Back-seaters love the legroom and the clever fold-up tables and coffee-cup holder. And today with an armful of golf clubs, the foot-waving rear hatch opening made things easier. This is one well-equipped car.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
