1 star is the lowest I could give it.
The fridge lasted 5 months before it developed a gas leak and stopped cooling completely. It took 7 weeks of fighting Dometic to get a new fridge. To pay $1400 for a fridge to last not even 6 months isn't acceptable. Maybe this one fridge was faulty, but would you trust it out west to not let you down, after it already has once? Absolutely not. So when it does break in the middle of your trip and your food goes off, you then have to deal with terrible customer service. I'll never buy another Dometic product again.

Brand new - good track record
The new CFX models from Waeco have lower current draw probably due to Waeco using its own compressor.
I cringe when I read the crap "reviews" like the bloke here whose unit was a few days out of warranty and he told the repairer to keep it. Not likely and under Australian consumer rules the buyer has an expectation that an item will/should last a certain time and if that time is outside the warranty period but within reasonable expectations it doesn't matter! If that story was true the owner would threaten Waeco and they would have jumped up qu...Read more
ick smart and fixed or replaced his unit. Didn't even see a price on that post. Why is that Product Review? I take some of the reviews here with a grain of salt. Product Review better clean up its act or people like me who don't like what Trump is doing to truth won't use it. If people want to see real people using these fridges in real life jump onto Youtube and see it all for yourself instead of reading fridge company employees mud flinging here. I bought a Dometic Waeco 75DZW as it got GOOD reviews and it is a fair size for my family of 9, yes 7 kids! The 95 litre might have been better space-wise but it is bigger again and power draw would have been up there. I now need to increase my solar panel output (buy another) as the one I have was for a 50L fridge and isn't up to it. BUT people know this, if you want icy cold drinks and plenty of food kept cold for a week or whatever when off the grid you have to pay extra. A big fridge like this by itself hooked up to the vehicle battery won't work and will cause grief. An extra battery of say 120AH minimum connected to the vehicle's alternator AND solar panels for those extended stays are a MUST! A genny wouldn't hurt either.

Great size, looks good, low power.
I’ve mounted mine on a custom built slide in the back of my Amarok. No dual batteries and just have it powered off the crank battery with the highest level of battery protection on. When I get home overnight I just plug in the 240v and walk away.
The dual zone is perfect, I run the little one all the time as a fridge for work lunch etc, and turn the second larger one on only when going away or picking up the groceries while at work.
My only downsides is wifi connected means my phone can’t access data while connected to the fridge as it thinks i...Read more

Don't waste your money
Having spent a lot on money on this you would expect it to work for more than 4 weeks before complete failure. Has only been used several times and not will not function at all. Brought it for my wife whilst she was in hospital as we needed a fridge & freezer to keep medication and also food yeh it has failed and cost us lots more on wasted medication and food.
Was great when working but is now useless and we are expected to take it somewhere to get fixed which inst where we brought it from. Have been waiting a week for Dometic to reply to my email yet no response. I am expected to take a day off work to take it somewhere over 30 minutes away from where I live. I don't find this an acceptable solution.

Perfect fridge/freezer
This is our fourth Waeco unit over 10 years, and the best yet. I seriously cannot fault this one at all. We previously ran a dual zone 80 fridge/freezer Waeco which was great, but with only one lid the freezer section was continuously exposed and prone to icing up. This new unit solves that with a separate lid for each section. The unit is divided into two, each with its own cooling capabilities. This means you can run either end as the fridge or freezer depending on your needs. The unit is also wi-fi capable, which means you can run the app and monitor and change the temp for each compartment from the driver’s seat-brilliant! This unit is the best!
