Hi Daz
Manuals for all Weber models are available on-line at help.weber.com/manuals. You just have to type in the serial number of your BBQ. If you have any problems just phone Customer Information on 1300 301 290. Also the Weber website has some really helpful video clips on all aspects of using a Weber from set-up, to cooking to cleaning. Well worth a look. Good luck. Cas 22

Will the split grid for the Q2000 fit into the Q200? (i.e.: are the bodies of these two the same shape and size?)

I think they are but to be sure contact Weber. But I personally do not recommend Weber bbq's because the quality is bad like my new Weber Q 200 which had cracks all over the inside of the bowl and the grill is very hard to keep clean.

Hi there - yes the grills can fit, but you will need a specially designed clip to accommodate them. The best thing to do is to visit your local Weber Specialist Dealer, or contact Weber Customer Service on 1300 301 290 - we'd be happy to advise the best option.

Q 200

I have a Webber Q200 and I need to replace the grill plate. Is it possible to replace my existing plate with the half grill/half solid hotplate setup from the Q2000? Apart from being 1 piece vs 2 pieces, are they the same shape?

I'm surprised Weber hasn't answered this already... I would think many folks with the older Q200 maybe asking the same question..... Although I'm sure Google will return the answer you need...

I have a Q220 with a badly rusting grill. The unit was bought in December 2013, so over two years old. Weber have agreed to replace the grill with the new split grill. It would appear, from what Weber have told me, that the Q2000 half grills will fit the Q200 or Q220. This is what they said:
"The grills that I have sent you are the new split grill system, which means you will receive a grill that it is the same size as your previous grill but in 2 halves. This will retro fit into your BBQ, with 2 little steel clips that I will send with your order. These clips come with instructions and are very easy to fit, they just slip over the existing middle supports of your BBQ. If for any reason these clips do not fit please let me know. As the new grills are for the new series of BBQs, (Q1000, Q2000 & Q3000 Series) the placement of the gaps in the grills are different from your current model of BBQ (Q100, Q200 & Q300 Series), so you will need to get new convection trays ( if you use them for roasting) for the new series BBQs (Q1000, Q2000 & Q3000 Series) to suit your new grills, as the placement of the holes in the convections trays are different to match the grills."
Hope this helps.

Q 200

What is the difference between the Q200 lpg and Q2000 lpg?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

The Q200 is the older model, the Q2000 is the newer one now available in stores. The Q200 has a one piece grill, the Q2000 has a new style grill which comes in two parts with a split down the middle that allows you to remove one side and replace with a hotplate (sold separately). There are also some other minor design changes - and some upgrades to the trolleys.
Check out your local Specialist Dealer for more info and advice.

It 99% does. I'm currently trying to make mine fit and it won't quite get in there lol.

Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Technically it's not designed for the older model Q200 - and it's also not approved by the AGA for use with it.
However, like Tristan, it's up to you how you use it.... There are still some Stationary Carts out there available for purchased - which were designed for use with the Q200 and this is the better way to go.

Q 200

Hi, trying to work out the model of my webber without the box.
I think its a webber Q 200 or 2000. Do you know release dates - mine was bought last christmas (2014). Is there any other differences that I might be able to tell?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

It's very simple - if it has a Q symbol in the top of the lid, it's the new Q2000 - the older model Q200 has the Weber Logo in the lid.
Hope that helps.

Q 200

Hi,

We have just purchased a Weber Q 200. Can you use the convection trays for the 2000 model? If not where can we purchase them?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

HI there - the reason we have two different models of the convection trays is that the grill setup is different on the Q200 vs the newer Q2000 - so the holes in-between the grill bars are different spacing. A big feature of the convection trays is that they come pre-stamped with holes that line up with the holes between the grill bars, allowing the excess fats and juices to drop through the bars without hitting them, down into the unit to drain away below. Using the wrong model convection tray will mean that those juices will hit your grill bars. Depending on what you're roasting it may not affect things too much - but if you can get the correct ones it's much better (if cooking pork or turkey I strongly recommend getting the right ones). You can find them at your local Weber Specialist Dealer - for your closest go to www.weberbbq.com.au

Q 200

Helllo,
We have had our Weber for over 3 years and love it. But recently our Q200 after cooking a roast we found that the side plastic that is supporting the cooker had melted all four bolt points. Wondering if these are available to purchase so we can replace them? Best Roasts ever :) Thanks Rowan

Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Hi Rowan - great to hear you love using your Q - unfortunately it sounds like you've had a fat fire in the cookbox at some point which has caused the frame to melt a bit. The best thing to do is to call Weber Customer Service on 1300 301 290 or email at [email protected] - have your serial number ready to quote - as they will be able to advise the best way forward.
Also, head to our website and check out the Cleaning and Maintenance video which has some awesome hints and tips about keeping your Weber Q clean - as it's generally a build up of debris in the cookbox that causes this kind of event.

Q 200

Hi there! I have a Weber Q200 and I am keen to try to get a hotplate for it to grill burgers. Will the Q2000 half hotplate fit my barbecue?
Thanks!

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Hi there - no the new half hotplate is designed for the Q2000 as it has split grill setup, meaning you can take out one grill and replace with the half hotplate. The grill on the Q200 is one piece, and the half hotplate will not fit sitting on top of it. The best option for you is the breakfast plate, or the premium griddle, both of which sit on top of the grill.

Q 200

Will the weber Q200 fit on the Weber Q Portable Cart?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Hi Jason - technically speaking no. The legs of the Q200 does not fit properly into the shape of the new trolleys - the main issue though is that the older model Q's have not been testing and approved for use by the AGA on the new trolleys.

The one you need is the older model Weber Q Rolling Cart 6548 - these are still available - best bet would be to check with your local Weber Specialist Dealer as they often carry them.

Q 200

Hi,
I currently have a Weber Q200, it is 4 years old and the bottom cooking box has started to corrode. I tried to take out the screws in the plastic legs to release the cooking box for a clean up and paint but upon removing the first rusty screw, the leg of the cooking box crumbled. Can Weber recommend a repairer to fix this? The last three screws are also quite stuck and we cannot remove them.
Thanks!

Q 200

what is the difference between the weber Q200 and Q2000?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Main difference is the grills - which on the Q2000 have a split grill setup which allows you to remove one grill (one side) and replace with a hotplate (that you can purchase as an accessory) - the coating on the grills is also a heavier coating of the same porcelain enamel which helps prevent rusting. Same engine (heat output) and cooking options between the two - the trolleys that you can purchase for the models are also different - many new features to them.
Hope that helps.

Q 200

Have a Weber Q200 BBQ and it's states on the Weber stickers that come with it, that it is a Natural Gas Only BBQ and we have had lots of BBQ's on it over the last year or so. Anyway, came to clean it and replace the Gas bottle as it is nearly empty and saw that it's a LPG gas bottle with it, so now I'm confused. Also, it is VERY HARD to find suppliers of Natural Gas refill bottles, but there are plenty of places have LPG bottles for BBQ's...
Can this happen? Or are the BBQ's for LPG and Natural Gas interchangeable?

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Hi Geoff - not exactly sure what you mean, but let me try and explain. If your bbq has a hose and regulator that fits into a normal LPG bottle (like the standard swap n go bottles at service stations etc) then your model IS a LPG model. The other way to check is with your regulator - is is a square shape? Or a round shape? If it's round it IS a LPG model, square is NG model. They are definitely NOT interchangeable.
The only exception here is if you are in a regional area with large format LPG bottles that are plumbed to the house, and therefore you might have a LPG hose that has a bayonet fitting on it that goes into a fitting on the house somewhere, but it doesn't sound like this is the case for you.
Any questions please call Weber customer service on 1300 301 290 and we'll be able to help you out further.

Q 200

I have an old weber q200 but the lid is starting to peel and I feel that it will be too much effort to try and repaint it. I have seen a new q2000au lid on the web, will this fit onto my q200?
Cheers
Mick

1 answer
Weber
Weber Barbecues A.Weber

Hi Mick - first thing to do is to call Weber Customer Service on 1300 301 290 and discuss the issue with them. They will ask for a serial number to check the age and model of the unit, and will be able to advise if the unit is under warranty and / or what lids are available to replace or purchase. Some of the old lids and hinge setups will not fit the new lids, so it's best to go through Weber to get the right advise for your unit.
