Absolute loser.

Very clunky interface that just beggars belief in this day and age. Transferring files via the network is slower than watching paint dry. My son tried to download some video I had stored on the cloud device: it took ALL NIGHT to download about 6 hours of video. Unbelievably bad.
Virtually, the only reason you would buy this is if you want to back up your stuff overnight. And MAYBE access some file from another location.
Actually you're better off just buying portable usb storage and taking that with you.
Waste of money and not recommended.

What a waste of time and money

Every few months I try once again to get this unit to work. Always a long list of things to tweek and change. Rebooting and resetting have become a normal part of my work life. How much money have I lost using this junk. (Note: I'm frustrated and a bit angry) Support is not helping. I give up. Time to look elsewhere for dependable backup drive that doesn't require a degree in computers to use. It should serve my needs I shouldn't have to "try" another fix.

Terrible piece of crap

Bought it with a 3TB red drive - does not work after setting up I can only access the admin consol. It recommends I update firmware, so downloaded firmware. Does not allow firmware update do to insufficient HDD space (empty 3TB drive at this stage guys). Check forums and solution is to fit a second blank drive, take a 1TB drive out of my other PC, format it and install it - now we have 4TB on a 3TB and 1TB drive. Run a check with WD software all OK. Try update firmware - insufficient HDD space. What a piece of crap!!!!!!!!
it's going back today - stay well clear
