Customer for over 10 years & enough is enough

Had enough, stuck with them to support a smaller company but this is ridiculous most of the day cannot collect emails from a business account.

7-year customer, the quality of service this year is terrible. Internet hardly ever works, and is extremely slow when it does connect. Customer service are clueless, instead insisting I buy a new router when this one is only 6 months old and working perfectly. Even worse than dodo.

Westnet used to have the best customer support in Australia, with technicians based in Perth. These days you deal with overseas "technicians" who read from a script on their screen and do not have a clue. Poor show iinet!

I advice all people to avoid using this provider, as I have had nothing but problems when connecting to the Internet. I find the customer service team extremely rude as I have been on the phone to them many time. They are more interested in selling a maintance man to come out then to actually fix the problem! Never again.....

Absolutely useless.
Never sort problems when you call. At least 45 minute wait times on calls. Useless service over all. Unbelievably sick of them. Today they tried billing be for services not provided.... Here I go again....more phone calls and hours of on hold waiting

Crap response to questions in tickets

6 weeks back we suffered a major fault in Esk with over 1100 lines out of action. My home phone was back on within 10 days and internet 4 days later. But despite many complaints about my business line (which uses the same physical line as the internet) they now tell me it is scheduled for reconnection on May6th. They just do not respond to questions about the three prior fault reports on the same line over the last 6 weeks. Service and response used to be great but now they expect me to wait up to an hour or more for a callback and when they do call the report the fault has been fixed. It as though they do not understand that I have two phone lines.

After having continual issues with Telstra I signed up with Westnet, they have always assisted me with any issues, have given me free upgrades without me asking. Have always had Australian support staff. Only issue I have is they use Optus as a carrier and reception can be an issue in certain places

My boyfriend had their postpaid mobile. It's pretty decent.
I never had probless with IINET. The one time did the I managed to connect to the tech support in less than 2 mins. That's pretty sweet for a big company like this. Vodafone or optus would sure have left me hanging on the phone for a couple of hours while they got for lunch or who knows even a little vacation.
The new postpaid mobiles look good too but they don't have NOTE EDGE so I had to to Telstra.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! Used to be good years ago but now RUBBISH

1 hour wait hold times, they changed from all Australian call centers to India & south Africa, clueless staff, noisy call centers make it hard to hear what the heavily accented phone staff are saying.

Westnet WAS the best internet company I had ever used... but now their service has dropped 90%... I have no other way to describe them as utterly terrible.

I have been a customer for over 10 years and their service has dropped off a cliff. Westnet and IInet are the same company.

Westnet consistently shapes our account and for the 24 month contract we had, we could never send photographs and images. If you want a reputable honest Australian company do not go with westnet. They use overseas call centres and are happy to rip you off in any way they can. They also fob you off when you have a legitimate complaint.

Everything, poor customer service, paying for what you don't receive, trying to get it fixed is a frustrating issue that I havent found a resolution for yet

Worst ISP Ever!!!!

They do not care about their customers. They only care about taking your money. They refuse to give credit back for an internet connection that was lucky to last for 5 seconds over 3 months. To call a tech out they threaten to charge you $130 call out fee. Do not waste your time!!!!

reliable and easy to talk to a real prson

After terrible service with Telstra big pond, I went with westnet. Although I have had very few problems, when I do they answer the phone quickly and fix my problem very quickly. When I moved house I was without service for 3 weeks. The problem was not westnet but Telstra took 3 weeks to flip the switch to make the lines active. Within 30 minutes of that happening, my internet was active
reliable and friendly servicen
ot always the cheapest but not too far out of market prices

Have been with Westnet for as long as I remember for an isp and they have always tried to do the right thing, it hasn't always worked out but the effort and intent to assist can never be faulted. Quite the polar opposite to what Telstra offers. Good on you Westnet.
Reliable, relatively inexpensive, customer service!!!!
Still have to rely upon Telstra lines and equipment :-(

I was with Westnet for years and had no problems at all with their tech support apart from maybe having to wait as they were busy. I always talked to an australian that knew how to resolve the problem and they would always talk me through to fix it. They even sent a rep to my house once to see if everything was ok, or they will call back in a few days if they haven't heard from you, just to see if the problem was resolved.The only reason I went with another company was that I wanted to reduce my monthly bills, what a mistake that was..now i have to suffer for 2 years until my contract finishes lol..more fool me.....
