NEVER USE THEM....
I would strongly recommend that you never ever engage AGC Roof Maintenance for anything at all. They are liars, & do not deliver when found out for this. I'm off to court with them!!!!!!!!!

Terrible
I was recommended this company so I persevered. I had to chase them up to get someone to provide the initial quote and then spent weeks trying to get an appointment for the work to be done. Finally they arrived but hadn't been given clear instructions as to what the problem was. I have no idea what the roofer actually did as he was a gone by the time I got back but when the first rain arrived this week not only had the leaks not been fixed but there was a new one which soaked through our wooden floors causing further damage. The second part of ...Read more
the job I could see was just left unfinished. Company doesn't respond to emails without lots of prompting. I am not sure how this company survives and hope this review discourages others from making the same mistake we did.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

2 months and still waiting.
AGC have sent multiple subcontractors to replace my front guttering with no work instructions, wrong ladders even the wrong type of guttering. 2 months and still no sign of completion.

Caused more damage than when we started
UPDATE: the roof is still incomplete and it's now the last week of September when the job started in March/April. The company has all but washed their hands of the job which leaks a steady stream of water (not a drip!). We have had to repair walls and ceilings from water damage and there is no end in sight. Please beware of this vendor!
Original post (June):Our roof has been "worked on" for six weeks. They pulled the flashing and left the job site. Now I have leaks in three rooms and electrical damage for rain coming in.
After reading other reviews I now fear that the job will remain incomplete and worsen. Still, even at this juncture I would urge others not to go with this vendor.

Appalling - Shoddy unfinished job 6 months later
Paid in full for a new roof in Nov 15. Shoddy job that was never finished. Won't return calls or make arrangements to finish the job. Manager of company only came to inspect roof 4 weeks ago after threats of legal action. We are still waiting for his reply. A very shonky company!

Good Work
I had a good experience with AGC who completed a recent roof replacement at my property. Their office was very polite and responded to my enquiries in a reasonable time and the work completed was top notch! I did have to follow up to get a start date but overall I would certainly recommend them.

appalling to deal with - southern Sydney branch
Agree with previous poster. They have had huge staff turnover in the past year. This company is terrible to deal with. They don't like getting into roof cavities to see where leaks are coming from. Waste of time dealing with them.

Rubbish
SSS only wanted a good job done once, not having several attempts to fix a leak. Other posts say he is an halfwit, I must be one as well, it has taken over a year to get our roof fixed (hahaha) guess what not fixed yet. We can not even tie one manager down to complete the work, they all seem to leave.

Good workmanship, not so good head office customer liaison
Top quality material, and site clean-up rates an A-Plus. The senior roofer certainly knows his trade inside out, however getting him on site required persistent phone nagging and emails to head office management. This might be because AGC has a big client list, but a small number of head office staffers to coordinate their contractors' jobs. I managed to get the name of my contractor as well as his mobile number and politely stayed in touch with him as the job unfolded. If considering AGC be prepared for a time lag, but don't be shy following-...Read more
up once you have signed your contract and paid your deposit. Remember, politeness to the phone person who answers your call makes all the difference. My job is now complete and I await the next downpour to test its effectiveness. If it is a failure, the contractor said to call him directly. Trust me, I will.Similar opinion? Months later they still can't fix our roof
AGC Roof estimator attended in Jan 2015 regarding roof leak. Identified cracked tiles, quoted to replace them noting on report it was urgent. Strata approved the repairs. They did not return until a couple of months later to do the work in question. AGC sent subcontractors who did a bad job. They invoiced for their work and the roof continued to leak. After numerous complaints they said they would send a roofer in a fortnight!
Finally they sent another roofer who came and replaced a couple more tiles. Roof continues to leak worse than ever. ...Read more
They promote on their website "Provide you with a detailed written quote report and digital photo's". We asked for photos of the roof work their subcontractors did, and AGC told us via email that the roof looked fine, it was fixed, but they refused to provide us with photos and a report. Neighbour had skylight installed by them and it leaked as soon as it rained. As of April 20th 2015 we still have a leaking roof. Will report back if they ever find the leak and fix it.2 comments
Still waiting on tile replacement from AGC Roof maintenance. Asked them to come before storms predicted for this week but they did not return my phone calls. Finally a staff member called to tell me t... Read more
hat AGC Roof maintenance had fixed my roof last week... Staff at the office have no idea what is going on, when their own roofer told me he had done a patch job, and someone else would be coming with tiles. AGC Roof Maintenance is painful to deal with. You will get conflicting stories. Still waiting to receive report and photos of work, which is advertised on the AGC Roof maintenance website. They have not replied to my email requests for same. I give up. 4 months later and AGC still can't finish a simple job.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
