Easy to use!

published

I've never owned a coffee machine before as I thought that they were always fiddly and hard to use. I was given this machine from aldi as a gift and it is great! Easy to use, easy to clean. Makes nice HOT drinks which are quick to make. I definitely recommend this machine!

Best coffee at an affordable price

published

In my opinion one of the best coffee machines out there. Makes barista quality coffee with a reasonably large selection of blends. It's easy to clean and not too noisy. Best part is the affordable price. Probably just as good as a Nespresso machine but cheaper. The Europeans know their coffee!

Was working well .

published

What I liked about this machine is the variety of coffees available, the machine was easy to use and clean, However the machine has recently failed and after several emails to the manufacturer explaining the problem they finally sent me a postage return label so I could return the machine to them to inspect and hopefully replace . Will update once the machine is repaired or placed .

Good Overall

published

Pretty happy with this item and the pods that Aldi sell.

Easy to clean and pods are a resonable price and taste pretty good.

Great for Sunday morning coffee when watching Insiders.

Disappointed with the milk frothers seal, returned one and next one did the same. So I just microwave the milk.

Staff are very good at Clontarf too.

Fifty words is a bit much, especially when a few is appropriate.

Love this product, I had a Nespresso, this was bought for me, the best out of the 2 . Easy cleaning and very little build up. Great range of flavours as well works well and is so much quieter. All parts are easily movable and easily cleaned.

Great little machine

published

Aldis coffee machine is on par with other supermarket coffee machines, especially if you can pick it up at a decent price. Water needs regular changing if you dont empty it with use else it developes a bad taste, suspect all machines would be like this. You also need to clean the inside else coffee is bitter and dirty tasting. Other than that, the taste depends on the pods you buy, not all are nice.

Pod alternatives if i dont have an aldi near by..

published

Love this machine, however Im moving from south of Sydney to Cairns. Problem...... Cairns has no Aldi the nearest being over 1000km away. Have been told that woolworth select capsules are compatible. Tried that and found that they are not. They get really stuck in the machine and you have to pretty much dig them out, not to mention that the prongs find them difficult to pierce and the machine doesnt work the best using them. So unless someone knows an alternative that works well without damaging the machine, I guess its online shopping for me in the future to get the Aldi caspules. Unfortunately this brings up the price per cup of coffee. Still it's cheaper than going to the local cafe and more convenient.

Perfect coffee

published

I have bought this coffee machine in October 2017 from Aldi. It is working very well. The disadvantage is that machine use only coffee pods so coffee pods are expensive. There is coffee grinder also included in it. Otherwise cleaning of machine is easy and is very small does not take much space. Recommend for someone who is not to fussy about coffee.

Great Value for Money

published

Look, if you compare this unit to a $1000 plus unit or what you get from your local coffee shop you will be disappointed. But if you are looking for a reliable inexpensive machine to make a quick morning coffee befroe work, this is the one.

The coffee comes out hot (I have had some other machines produce lukewarm in the past), it tastes nice and is cheap to purchase at Aldi.

I would recommend this machine, just dont set your standard too high.

good coffees everyday!

published

makes a decent cup of coffee for me everytime, reasonably quick, the capsules are not too expensive and you have lots of variety, i would say about the value, if you have lots of guests or big family it can get expensive, maybe just for one or 2 people, easy to use, cleaning is straightforward just make sure the loading hopper is clean and dry when finished

Sufficient for the price

published

You get what you pay for and the Aldi Expressi machine has a friendly price less than half of the cost of a brand name machine.

The machine is still going strong but I find it a hassle to clean. There is a huge variety of flavours and strengths but none come close to a barista made coffee.

Great entry level machine

published

If you fancy a Nespresso-style unit but don’t care for the $200-300 price, Aldi’s Expressi capsule coffee machine is worth a look, especially if you’re already a frequent Aldi customer, since you won’t have to go out of your way to find coffee varieties. Easy to use, sleek design, entry-level price point.

Good unit

published

Ok coffee machine. Easy to use, and quite quick to make the coffee. Find if I want to have it black I need to top up from kettle as water not super hot, but that is to be expected. Crema has been excellent. Some leaking issues but nothing that bothers me enough to return the unit. Capsules apparently recyclable but you have to post to a warehouse and they went mouldy before I managed this. Probably not ideal for the environment.

Excellent Product at a great price

published

Purchased this from Aldi, and I must say that it is far superior to the Nespresso Dolce Gusto, which would be its closest competitor in this price range.
The pods produced by Expressi are also fantastic and all of them taste great, especially the Abruzzi flavour (strength 12). The Expressi is also easily cleanable, as all it takes is running a cleaning pod through the machine, also available from Aldi.

Affordable. Reliable

published

Runs well and heats up quickly. Reliable and makes a decent cup of coffee everytime. The pods are affordable and the other accessories are cheap. Feels very well built and easily competes with more expensive brands such as nespresso. Aldi's return policy gives me confidence to make purchases from them.

Good, large milk frother and easy to use

published

I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a go. Capsules are always available and so many different ones to chose from. The milk frother is amazingly large and cannot compare with Nespresso where I need to run it twice for one cup of coffee. So far I am happy with the product and did not have any issues. The coffee quality is better than many cafes around.

Easy to use and variety of capsules

published

I love using this machine. The milk frother is very big and I can make 3-4 cups of frothed milk so making coffee for friends or a family is not an issue. The variety of capsules available makes lots of different tastes of coffee and easy to buy them at a local Aldi Store.
