Really practical
I have had this laptop for a while now, it works really well. The only down side would be the weight because it is quite heavy and not as practical at a macbook air for uni or work for example. Otherwise I recommend it, it is a really good laptop.

Nice general purpose little laptop
To be honest I was expecting a bit more of it, but the minute you run a few apps together the whole things gets a bit laggy. Beautiful design at the time, very compact and nice to look at. Overall, bit overpriced for the provided features but I suppose it is a mac.

Best Portable Device
I got the large 13" screen MacBook Air and I's been a few weeks now that I've used it and I love it. It's light, the aluminium casing looks very sleek and being Apple one does expect quality. The back lights are a very good feature. I like the fact this can be synced with other Apple devices on the "cloud". Very light and portable, I also recommend getting a protective cover for it.

Good performer with a terrible battery
I purchased a new Apple MacBook Air 13" from the Apple store in Sydney about two weeks ago. Being my first Apple computer I was a bit sceptical, considering Apple are well known for producing great looking products but at a high price point.
With the recent introduction of many competing Windows branded ultrabooks I found that the MacBook was the better on hardware and performance, but the proof was going to be during its operation.

ery to be less then confidence building. Though the system can run for about 7+ hours on battery alone with reasonable use, I have noticed that the battery is degrading regularly. All new MacBooks ship with smart batteries, which allows the user to gain technical information from the battery via a relevant application. In my case I am using Battery Guru from the Mac app store. In the two weeks I have owned the MacBook I have noticed that the battery is already at 96.39% (6458mAh) of its original capacity of 6700mAh. Though this is a small dip, one could reasonably expect for the battery to remain closer to 100% for a lot longer then two weeks. I will continue to monitor this situation and will have no hesitation to take the matter up with Apple if in the event that the MacBook's battery dips to below acceptable standards. All said and done, this is a great looking product with great performance at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to other people. I would just caution them to be informed about the battery issue and to ensure that they download a relevant application to monitor the battery closely to ensure that they getting the most out of the factory installed battery. Style, performance, reasonable pricing, Mac app store. Battery could be an issue, but the verdict is out on this matter and is subject to performance over time.Similar opinion?
