Dryer ok. ASKO service terrible!!

T754CHP

Since our nervous nanny broke the dryer latch within days of starting, it has taken more than 2 months of calls, emails and a useless service appointment (where the technician arrived without the ordered part) and ASKO stiiillll haven't managed to get their act together to get the thing fixed under warranty. And it's been raining for 6 of 8 weeks. Go elsewhere. If only so you don't end up in this sticky mess!!

Loud screeching noise

T754CHP

After only 6 months of use the dryer has started making a loud screeching noise and turning itself off before the load is dry, for $2199 this is extremely disappointing. Have contacted asko today - I hope they replace it. My last dryer a Simpson cost $350 and lasted 10 years

Hi Kylie
Thanks for your prompt response. Yes the dryer technician came and replaced a cracked bearing, it seems to be working fine now.

Warranty claim tomorrow

T754CHP

1 week before the warranty expires it's started making the loudest screeching noise from the rear of the machine. I liked the machine to date, hopefully asko will fix the problem in the shortest period of time. With 4 children and winter starting next week the machine needs to be working

Great product

This dryer is well worth the money if you're going to use it fairly often, it dries lots of clothes, quickly and efficiently with lower power costs, how good is that? It's built well and is quiet. The dryer can be left on if people are sleeping in the house.
Great at drying, looks nice, doesn't over heat clothes
Costs a fair bit

Purchased the T754HP dryer 4.5 years ago after being talked into it by a Fridge & Washer City sales rep who said that ASKO was the best on the market - so I forked our $4118 for the washer & Dryer!! I so wish that I had of stayed with Fisher & Paykel (previously lasted 15 years), I would have saved $2500 - I have been dissatisfied with the quality of the wash & the fact that the dryer takes hours to dry after repeatedly doing further cycles - now the heat pump has stopped working, doesn't extract the water and doesn't dry the load - not even 5 years old so very disappointed with ASKO products!

Am I stupid I just don't get it or the manual is wrong. Normal Auto dry leaves clothes cool and not quite dry. So when I change it to Auto extra dry it says 2hrs 50. The clothes definitely don't need 3 more hours. Does it definitely turn off or reduce the time or just go for 3 more hours? When I tried the Anti Crease the display said AC and nothing was happening so I thought it was done and hey wet clothes. Manual says Anti Crease is performed after the dry cycle. I'm perplexed is this dryer too intelligent for me? Taken hours to dry one load so far.

With Auto extra dry it works out the time for you. The initial time can be 2:50 however it works it out as it goes so it can change and be less. If you want to check the load don't stop it, just open the door and restart it otherwise I find it starts from the beginning.
AC is just the extra tumble every second seconds or so until you get to the clothes to fold.
I only use Auto extra dry and the clothes drying time difference from load to load.
Hope that helps a bit.
