Endless problems
We bought this dryer because it was very energy efficient and we trusted the ASKO brand. That turned out to be a mistake.
While it worked well initially, the auto-sensing failed twice during the warranty period.
When it fails the machine just defaults to the longest cycle (3hrs) and displays an error code at the end. The third time it failed the technician told us he could repair it but that it’d only break again.
It does take a long time to dry (up to two three hour cycles for a load of towels), it regularly emits loud squeaks now the lo...Read more
wer filter fills with condensed water (the dryer ceases to be effective until you remove it and dry it out). Absolutely wouldn’t recommend this product, especially for the price. Friends have Miele and are very happy.
Purchased in November 2021 for A$2,000.00.

Great product
It is not the quietest due to it being a heat pump however, I don't have mould or fluff in my laundry and my electricity bill seems to be the same in winter then in summer. It is still quieter than a vented dryer.
It does take 2 hrs to dry however, I only dry one bundle per wash where in the past I had tp dry 3 bundles for 1 wash.

Never Ever Again
Never ever again, worse than the old Aeg condenser dryer i sold for $50- to buy This !?
So disappointed, squeaky to start with !
Doesn't actually do what it says it will !
can take five hours to dry a load ! after putting it back on over and over and over again !
and cleaning out the filters each time ! just in case ! I just don't have the time for this, and really upset, because we don't have the money to waste either, and and have the funds to replace it !

Disappointed beyond words!
I hate the quality of drying. The clothes come out extremely wrinkled and sometimes they are actually crunchy. The lint filter is extremely difficult to work with and leaves a mess around the room after each cleaning......lint everywhere. It also is very light and constructed poorly so when you close it with its click/push locking device, it moves back crushing or crimping the venting ductwork fitting. Would not recommend it to anyone!! It gets no stars.

Dryer ok. ASKO service terrible!!
Since our nervous nanny broke the dryer latch within days of starting, it has taken more than 2 months of calls, emails and a useless service appointment (where the technician arrived without the ordered part) and ASKO stiiillll haven't managed to get their act together to get the thing fixed under warranty. And it's been raining for 6 of 8 weeks. Go elsewhere. If only so you don't end up in this sticky mess!!

My ASCO dryer is already broken in less than three years
In April we moved into a new house. An ASCO washer and ASCO Dryer T754HP were in the inclusions from the previous owners. The washer and dryer were exactly two years old when we moved in. Not long after we moved in the dryer started getting louder and louder. Finally it started making this unbearable screeching noise. When I phoned ASCO I was told hat warranties stay with the original purchaser not the product. This is a crazy policy for a $2000 dryer. If you buy a new car and sell it the warranty stays with the car. Besides, I would expect way...Read more
more from a brand such as ASCO and a $2000 dryer. A dryer of this quality should not be breaking down in such a short period of time. My first dryer purchased in 2004 for $450 never broke down once in twelve years. What are you getting for the $2000 being spent on this product? We were thinking of upgrading other products in our house to ASCO but now we are not sure ASCO is that brand to buy. Our experience so far is that ASCO is unreliable and that customer service and warranties have not been sufficient. I thought a company like ASCO would back their products.2 comments

Don't waste your money
We bought this dryer a couple of months ago and we're finding it really disappointing.
Cons:
- Takes forever to dry clothes
- The door catch is tight
- The condensed water container is too small so needs to be empted often. Also, when I try to remove it to empty the water, water spills out everywhere. My last dryer had a much larger container and was better designed so that water never spilled.
- If the water container is full, the dryer continues to dry so that water overflows onto the floor. My last dryer (AEG) switched itself off if th...Read more

Don't buy this expensive dryer -complete waste of money
I bought this dryer 2 years and 2 months ago - I have four children and mountains of laundry and bought an expensive dryer on the basis that this is quality. I can't survive without a dryer. The dryer has started to slow down and not dry completely and had a repairer out who says the motor has gone. This is no better than a $300 dryer - so tomorrow I will have to buy another dryer! what a waste of money.

Loud screeching noise
After only 6 months of use the dryer has started making a loud screeching noise and turning itself off before the load is dry, for $2199 this is extremely disappointing. Have contacted asko today - I hope they replace it. My last dryer a Simpson cost $350 and lasted 10 years

Warranty claim tomorrow
1 week before the warranty expires it's started making the loudest screeching noise from the rear of the machine. I liked the machine to date, hopefully asko will fix the problem in the shortest period of time. With 4 children and winter starting next week the machine needs to be working

Great product
This dryer is well worth the money if you're going to use it fairly often, it dries lots of clothes, quickly and efficiently with lower power costs, how good is that? It's built well and is quiet. The dryer can be left on if people are sleeping in the house.
Great at drying, looks nice, doesn't over heat clothes
Costs a fair bit

Junk and poor service
After over 25 years of Asko product use with no problems that could not be fixed ( fairly quickly ) I will Never be purchasing another Asko again > Thirteen days ago we fully paid up front for an Asko washing machine w6684w eco model ( It works well ) and dryer heat pump type T754chp(W) on the machine itself now on the sales docket --do we have the correct dryer ?? it was supposed to have the door changed over to the right hand side __We were assured that would be done "in the warehouse" it arrived without -the driver of the delivery truck tr...Read more
ied to do the change over and in the process laid the machine on it's back __ that is a no no according to the instructions in several places in their own booklet which accompanies the dryer . I refused to use this dryer because of this violation by the delivery people . To me it is possibly damaged and will give problems down the track . Oh no I was told just turn it on (this too contravenes the book which states that the machine must not be turned on for 24 hours after installation ) So long story short after many phone calls (mostly by me to them because despite many requests to and promises by the shop and Asko themselves very few ever rang back ) A "new" dryer was finally delivered on Thursday -ten days after we paid for it -- It was installed -ie plugged in (that was $40.00 extra per machine ) then we waited for the 24 hours before switching it on This particular local delivery /service Asko trained ) person wanted to turn it on immediately but declined when showed the info in the book .So on Friday at 2.30 the machine was duly set up for it's first use . Approx half way into the cycle it started a screaming / alarm type noise I rushed to the laundry stopped the machine by opening the door and restarted --the screaming sound happened again about halfway into the second try of that cycle . So as the clothes were just about dry by this stage I decided to try a second (different) cycle less time for synthetics on the "timed" cycle I gave it 30 minutes --the minimum . Fine except for the water which was not coming out the pipe (we had the dryer set up for the condensed water to go straight down the drain rather than into the water drawer ) the machine was flashing F10 which indicates that the water drawer was full .... but no there was nothing there either . finally we checked to see if the hose was kinked but the only thing we found there was much water on the laundry floor . We persisted until 10 that evening trying to get it to work properly according to the book . 'Saturday morning I rang the local tech -- he cannot come til next Friday( and this despite that fact that he had earlier told us that he "only comes to our area on Thursdays ) but he agreed something was wrong .I rang the store, the sales man agreed there was something wrong but the "boss " was not there that day - So I have to ring back Monday )__ We will be going to the store on Monday hopefully to make arrangements to remove both machines and get a full refund of our nearly four thousand dollars --Wish us luck ! Washing machine is fine ---dryer so far nothing -- service ?? the pits from Asko, the store from whom we purchased the machines and the local tech who came to install the second machine h . Am I stupid I just don't get it or the manual is wrong. Normal Auto dry leaves clothes cool and not quite dry. So when I change it to Auto extra dry it says 2hrs 50. The clothes definitely don't need 3 more hours. Does it definitely turn off or reduce the time or just go for 3 more hours? When I tried the Anti Crease the display said AC and nothing was happening so I thought it was done and hey wet clothes. Manual says Anti Crease is performed after the dry cycle. I'm perplexed is this dryer too intelligent for me? Taken hours to dry one load so far.
1 answer
With Auto extra dry it works out the time for you. The initial time can be 2:50 however it works it out as it goes so it can change and be less. If you want to check the load don't stop it, just open the door and restart it otherwise I find it starts from the beginning.
AC is just the extra tumble every second seconds or so until you get to the clothes to fold.
I only use Auto extra dry and the clothes drying time difference from load to load.
Hope that helps a bit.

Is there any way an Asko heat pump dryer can be installed on a shelf above a top loading washing machine?
2 answers
That's what I'm just about to do at my place. It's apparently not a problem as far as I've been told by my builder - just make sure that the shelf can take the weight and vibration.
ASKO A.Asko
Hi Norman,
The weight of our dryer is 60 kg not including the weight of clothes. So please ensure the shelf & washing machine can handle this weight. If they do then its OK to use.
