Same deal as some accompanying reviews. I got sucked in by a door knocker selling Astron plans. It's been a horrific experience from day 1. Dreadful download speeds, constant loss of connection & I can't even stream video when it's the only device connected to the network in the house! This mob is a total embarrassment, please don't waste your time with them.

This has been the worst internet company I and my family have ever been with the worst part is you don't get what you pay for. These guys have the worst lack of communication for paying customers you are promised all these things you never receive in the time of paying good money to them. I recommend this company to NOBODY!!! If there was an option for negative starts I would give a negative 5 star. You guys are the worst muck around!

Seemed like good value when we signed up, but our 25mb/s NBN is atrocious. In peak times I struggle to even browse Facebook on my phone at a respectable speed, with no other devices connected! So forget about gaming, watching Netflix in consistent high def or using multiple devices at once. I'm paying the 180 bucks to be released from the contract, learned my lesson.

Assured my internet would be fast, since signing up with the NBN with these guys my internet in actual fact is much slower than it previously was. Don't bother with this company, they went around door knocking selling cheap deals talking them up but once your internet is finally hooked up the real problems start to begin.

I wouldn't even bother with these guys, sure the packages are cheap but the service is horrific, if there was an option for no star I would have selected that.

I am so over being rung on the day my bill is due for a payment. How rude. Then if they cannot get me they ring my ex boyfriend from a year ago hassling him when bill is in my name and nothing to do with him. Telstra no better as I have tried and tried to get rid of astron from my mobile calls. Hopefully now telstra has done my request properly and I am rid of astron.

Over it

I`ve been with this company for three years now and I`ve never had any problems with them. I`m saving on costs and I`ve never had to ring them with any issues. I will be staying with them and I would definitely recommend them to anyone if they want to save on phone bills.
Inexpensive and reliable

Please do not go with these guys. I have been with them for many years with no problems, but the last 12 months have been so bad it is amazing that they can still be in business. There down time has been at times 48hrs. If Telstra goes down for two hrs. it's headline news, these guys think it is acceptable.

poor service

they continually make harassing phone calls. they double bill and don't listen when called.definitely hang up the phone if they tell you of better deals than other companies. also i did not have a phone line for the last two months so could not even send or receive calls and nothing was done about it. line rental was just lost money also. a definite downer in relation to telecommunications and not an experience i would care to repeat.

it was not conducted in an orderly and professional manner,bad service and no interest in line coverage regarding repairs

I am still waiting for a return call from them from December 2008.
Either they are to full od business or just not interested in new clients.Oh well there will be some oen else who will want our business...NOT Telstra or Westnet

lack of communication

My Telstra monthly rental was increased by $10 by Astron with out my knowledge. Later when I canceled the service, the $10 service they said is free was charged back to me and I was sent with a bill for $9.51 (suppose to be the free call amount).

Do not register with them!

Absolute disgusting service, all lies and lousy service.

Have had nothing but trouble. Unprofessional and downright unethical. Will not release my service even after repeated requests. My next phone call is to the ombudsman. Do yourself a favour and don't even go there, warn all your friends not to either - I certainly will be. Telco's can be a pain at the best of times, but these guys take the cake.

It was a terrible experience and I would warn everyone to stay away from these people to save themselves a lot of headache.

When signing up we were told we were getting a $20 cap, unlimited calls to international land line numbers. However they kept charging us over $35-39. On inquiring they said we must have called mobile numbers which is not true at all because we didn't have any mobile numbers to call to! It's totally unethical.

Over that, the service was so poor that we never got through, and when we did, most of the time the voice quality was almost inaudible - useless.

Beware of their hidden costs and false claims!

Fantastic, no-fuss customer service and no-fuss products. You always get to talk to the same person about your issue. Been with them for 5-6 years and never had any problems. Good prices.

Bad service, bad communication after I cancel my service with them still charge me and not only they call me several times to me but they call the numbers in my bill to ask for me and them too. Highly unethical!!

Never have a contract with this company!
Save yourself a major headhache, and have nothing to do with them at all! Finally I have finished my 2 year contract, thank goodness.
Do yourself a favour & pick Bigpond or Internode.

Everything about this company is hopeless! from billing errors constantly to internet dropping out every other day.... totally useless customer help who promise to call you back and never do!
