Impressive for the price but the trackpad is buggy
This machine is a pleasure to use. It starts very quickly from power on and loads windows in no time. The touch screen is smooth and responsive and the system can be flipped backwards to feel like a tablet, or positioned in tent mode for sitting on the kitchen bench.
Only one issue so far; the track-pad is buggy and the pointer moves erratically around the screen. you can fix this by disabling the Asus trackpad drivers and using the standard windows trackpad drivers in device manager or just use a mouse instead.

wanted a laptop that could handle the bumps and jolts. The US military grade chassis and MIL shock testing won me over from the other brands that had hard drives and seemed more flimsy. Don't get me wrong, the laptop is still very light and quite thin and portable; its just a robust aluminum chassis design that works really well. I took one star off for the buggy trackpad drivers from Asus and because the battery life is not quite as long as an intel I7 can do. (this system has the AMD Ryzen processor)Purchased in August 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores for A$1,800.00.

Very impressed so far... though it is surprisingly noisy.
After no small amount of research, I settled on the ASUS Zenbook series for my new laptop. I had a Dell XPS 15 which frustratingly died after only 2 and a half years of use, so I was looking for a sleek, reasonably high-powered replacement for it. So far, I must say I am quite pleased. The laptop is lightweight, the keyboard is quiet (the XPS was quite loud when typing), the touchscreen is fantastic for work and for play. However, my only complaint so far is that the fans run very loud when the computer is doing anything that takes a bit of gumption (e.g. playing a game, running Adobe Captivate). However, if you are like me and need something sleek, comfortable and high-powered, I would not hesitate to recommend this laptop.
