Hi,
I bought an Audi A4 2006 about 5 days ago second hand and everything was fine, except 2 days ago I noticed sometimes it would flash on the PRNDS dash section and not tell me what gear I am in. And now it always flashes and never tells me. I've googled this problem and am horrified with the responses and how common and how much this costs to fix but they have all been overseas forums. Has anyone in Brissy or Australia had this problem and can recommend somewhere decent to get it fixed that wont set this broke uni student back another 4k?!?!
Thank you!!!

Hi Guys,
I am looking to buy a 2009 MY10 Model Audi A4 2.0T Quatrro or a 2010 Lexus IS250. I am quite concerned with engine oil consumption as I've read reviews that it is a big problem. I've contacted the owner and he did said that having to add engine oil every 3000-4000KM. My main concern is the reliability of the car and engine will eventually fail from too much carbon deposit etc. Can someone tell me about the experience with the 2.0T engine?

Mine is 2013 T2.0. Sure in the first year, I encountered the oil consumption problem. But after the first service, they changed a different oil, and I don't have that problem ever since.
Mine has burnt a litre like a clock between services - no interservice topup necessary. 3-4K sounds a bit much unless he's just finicky at keeping it at the max. level.
Be careful. We purchased an A4 quattro S-Line not even 6 months ago, and now we can't even drive the car. The car needs an engine rebuild - it uses 1 litre of oil and only gets 350kms. We are fighting it out with the dealer. If you can, get an oil compression test done before purchasing the vehicle.
