If I could give a -1 for the scoring, that would be generous.
As soon as I rolled my new rug out I noticed it was two or more pieces poorly joined together, with a distinct join mark running across the centre. The end section had full length strips which were threadbare, although customer service insisted that these were creases. The rug felt like plastic. Customer service have been non responsive to my complaint, outside of kindly offering to accept the rug back for a full refund after I incur exuberant shipping costs in excess of the original purchase price.
very bad customer service
I recently purchased a rug and i have received the wrong colour.
After 3 phone calls to the number provided on their website, and over 2 hrs on the phone, this company has not resolved my problem.
I have tried to communicate via email and AU rugs simply stopped responding.
I have simply asked for a refund and happy for this company to take the rug back.
I have been told on 3 occasions that my case has been sent to management for review and that i would be contacted shortly??
I will be contacting the department of fair trading to further my complaint, and in addition posting on all social media avenues to discredit the integrity of this company "AU RUGS"...

within a month all the edges are fraying on my Palazzo collection rug
very disappointed to have to pay for repair. First rug i purchased 7 years ago still perfect but this one the edging quality is terrible.

My sister bought a rug off them and loved it so I thought I would too. Unfortunately, my rug was completely misrepresented in the photos online - It was supposed to be a clean matte grey but in reality is a horrible silvery, reflective two-toned grey. I've now experienced the dreadful customer service with options to pay to send it to Switzerland ($236) or receive a 20% refund. Avoid this company! Don't trust the product photos online!

Haven't even received my rug
I ordered a rug six weeks ago. The "shipping confirmation" I received shortly afterwards says a shipping label has been created but the item has not actually shipped yet. I tried emailing customer service and have not received any response. I am very disappointed in the lack of service (not to mention the lack of product!) I will not be purchasing from this company again.

Read the return policy before buying!!!
Please believe the bad reviews!! I received a very poor quality rug and when I requested a return, the cost to return (to Switzerland or US!!!) was 3 times the price that I paid for the rug. The customer service was from US, rude and terrible. After hours chasing up, I lost my money and threw the rug out.
Very bad quality. It’s made of plastic!
It’s not worth anything. Super thin horrible quality rug. Some part of rug is already falling apart. Not nice to walk on. Came from the US. I thought it was an Australian company. Stay away.

Bird droppings on the rug and shocking quality!!
Update: AURugs has now provided a full refund for the faulty rug, hence I've increased their rating.

Disgusting bird droppings were found upon unrolling the rug. The quality of the rug is absolutely horrible also, paper thin and pilling. The refund hasn't been approved!! I'm devastated.

Expensive returned
Cost more to send it back to Switzerland than it as the for the rug in the 1st place - offered my 50 Dollars to keep it 0r 150 with their shopping company ...

Super thin, low quality, expensive to return
Don't bother guys, rug does not match the pictures. It was stated as being 1/2 inch pile height but more like 1/4. Super thin and bad quality and colors.
2 Rugs Purchase - Quality Terrible - Customer Service not answering
I purchased 2 rugs, on receiving them the edges of both had already started to untether and thread unravel. Contacted Au Rugs, they sent replacements.....but were not the same rugs. On telling them they then responded that their upper management was being consulted and a solution would be forthcoming.. After weeks of waiting and many unanswered emails, I have given up. I will be reporting to the relevant consumer watchdog.
I also believe that their name is inappropriate, my wife purchased from them believing it was an Australian Company...but Rugs delivered from the US!
Keep clear of this company and buy local!

AU Rugs stole money from my PayPal Account
Yesterday I asked for a refund as the rug I bought was “unavailable and out of stock”.
Tonight two random “Uber Australia” payments were taken out of my account dated last night. When I disputed the transactions PayPal found 3 of the same transactions and low and behold the 3rd was from AU Rugs on the day I bought the rug initially.

Value for money decorator pieces
I am very cautious about online shopping, especially for suppliers outside of Australia, so decided to try a small inexpensive purchase first. It arrived in good time and order, so I took a risk on a more expensive rug, which also arrived in a short time and it is an eye catching, funky, soft shag that goes perfectly with my current furnishings. I emailed AURugs with photos and within maybe an hour I was offered a generous partial refund. I have purchased polyprop rugs from local carpet retailers and Bunnings and I would say the quality is comparable at a very good price. If you want woolen rugs that last a lifetime you would be paying three times the price or more. The three rugs I have bought were all made in Turkey and shipped from the US I think.One star because I can't rate zero stars
Rug was thin, cheap and cost me over $300. I enquired about a refund due to the terrible quality and even though AURugs sounds like it's an Australian company- it's not. They offered to organise my postage for $224 which is absolutely ridiculous. Don't buy from here! Do yourself a favour and get a rug from bunnings- cheaper and better quality

Absolute nightmare
On receiving shipping advice noticed rug I had not ordered was being sent. Contacted company within 8 hrs they could not redirect as shipped from USA misleading website wish I read reviews don’t go near this company! 50% Refund given the speed that this was offered tells me this is a usual practice & looking at their reviews many unhappy customers. Rude staff who stated I ordered rug incorrectly - would not accept wrong rug was dispatched
Update - received the thin poor quality rug that I didn’t order no refund could compensate for this rubbish - straight to the tip this company shouldn’t be allowed to trade the negative reviews say it all.

Rug folded and damaged
rug was shipped folded up. This has damaged the pile and the backing material is showing. I have bought much larger rugs before and they were all shipped rolled around a tube. Absolute scam company.
Cheap, ugly rug: thin, hard, synthetically shiny. Huge return postage - company is a scam.
Extremely poor quality: rug is thin, hard, very synthetic (slightly shiny) in appearance, colour far more garish than on screen (even accounting for the colour inaccuracy inherent in any screen). Extremely expensive to return. So bad that I'm simply dumping it and counting it as a loss and a hideous lesson in checking returns policies before buying. Customer nil, AURugs $400. Ghastly experience.

Poor quality product - very costly if you try to return product
This company calls itself AURugs and you imagine that it is an Australian company or at least has some base in this country. The truth is very different - the rugs are made in Turkey which is not necessarily a problem but the items are shipped from the USA and that is the problem. They claim free shipping but want almost $200 to return the item through their shipping account with Fedex.
A recent saga with this company left me disappointed, exasperated and $190 out of pocket. Good old PayPal compensated me $45 which is their maximum for return...
Read more shipping costs when returning goods so still left with a $145 loss for dealing with these people. I bought a rug for $319 and was expecting an item of reasonable quality. I know I could get a very good quality rug here in Australia for that price. Imagine my utter dismay and disappointment when this thing arrived - it was so thin and inferior and completely unsuitable. After corresponding with the company I was informed that I could return the rug and use their Fedex account to do so. The kicker was that it was going to cost 22 pounds for the return shipping and that would be deducted from my refund. The return address was also strange as it was to a place in Switzerland. I agreed to this and reminded the service consultant that as I was in Australia, the use of pounds was not appropriate and the conversion of this figure was around $39 Aust. Whoa - answer was that they thought that I was in the UK. I then waited some time (days?) and they got back to me that the shipping would now cost $190 to be deducted from the refund. Out of my payment to them of $319, I would have $190 deducted for shipping. My dealings with PayPal did not improve anything other than they compensated me the $45 I mentioned before. Be warned, this company's products are not what you are expecting, the free shipping is not free - it is covered by the inflated price they are asking for the product. The only connection with Australia for this company seems to be in the use of the name "AURugs". The name of the company which PayPal attributed the refund to was Unique USA and they are in Eastern USA.Excellent service, fast delivery, soft nice rug
Recently ordered from AURugs and I must say really impressed with the speedy service and the quality and price of the rug we ordered, Its so soft underfoot and colouring is lovely exactly like pictures on website. Currently updating a lot of decor in my residential premises’ and will definitely be ordering from this company again. Thank you so much AURugs.

Top place to find your ideal rug.
Great prices and deliver on time. Have bought two rugs and they are perfect. The website shows the rugs in different locations so you get an excellent idea of how it may look in your home.

great rugs, slow ish delivery
Ordered 2 rugs from aurugs. both times the rugs were just as pictured, great quality. love them both. will say its taken about a month for delivery to australia on both occasions.
Poop quality rug, very thin
The rug is not worth its price, looks very cheap... Very poor quality. I do not recommend this company. They advertising in AU but carpet were shipped from US

Beautiful rug, extremely fast delivery to Australia
Our rug arrived in Aus in 8 calendar days from day ordered. It looks gorgeous in our living room, exact colours as pictured, very good quality.
Do not purchase from this company!
Very disappointed they want to charge $200 US for a return when purchased from AURugs. Does not correspond with picture online.
