Auto-Trail Delaware
Home away from Home
The Delaware is a beautiful comfortable motorhome, we are very proud owners being approached many times while driving around Australia to talk about just how great it is to drive and also the fact you only need a drivers licence. It is very modern looking inside and out not like some other companies. TV and Radio worked really good as when we first picked up motorhome in 2015 nothing worked, this was fixed. The aircon was very efficient in minus and Top End temperatures, we thought it was very quiet! Having an Island bed with separate toilet an...
Read mored shower is a definite bonus. Now to some of our disappointments - The Wall paper in bedroom joiner strips are lifting so glue is not the right type needs investigating as it makes bedroom area look bad, easy to fix! we have not approached Elite as we've only just returned from trip. Leisure batteries are in a terrible location to allow inspection we at our expense replaced them while away to Gel Batteries costing $500 each. Starter motor jammed at 10,000k's Fiat in Brisbane would not honour warranty because vehicle was not towed from Gold Coast to Brisbane we used local diesel mechanic Lube mobile, not good enough FIAT!!!!
Very classy vehicle full of extras!
Beautifully appointed with great features including island bed, very comfortable, dirty linen hamper, 2 wardrobes, day/night blinds & curtains, seperate toilet and shower, built in rubbish bin, loads of storage including spare 'room' at rear of vehicle big enough to take bbq, table, chairs, golf clubs, electric scooter etc. etc. Only thing we initially found a concern was length of 'overhang' when negotiating driveways, once you realise, you soon learn not to scrape your bottom! But overall very easy to drive and very stable on road.
This is not a motorhome.
This is a one bedroom house on wheels.
Not only comfortable to live in, it is also beautiful to look at.
No one can pass our Delaware without looking or taking photos.
We are very proud and happy to own it.

My Forever Home
I purchased a Delaware in May 2014. I chose it for its finish luxury and lay out. It drives like a car. I lived in it for 5 months and plan to do so again when I finish full time work.

our home on wheels
on a positive note; very spacious and comfortable, lived in it for 8 months while our new home was built. Power wise very good. - on a negative; little bit to long with the overhang from rear axle to back of unit, could do with some more kitchen bench space.

First Class all the way
Travelled over 23000ks since we picked up our Delaware in April 2016 and set off around Australia with our children and dog. Could not be happier with performance.
Show it off at ever chance I can!!!
Living the dream...

The Auto Trail Delaware is a fantastic RV!
The Delaware comes with an impressive list of features that are standard equipment from the factory.
When comparing it to the Australian-built equivalent motorhomes on the market, we were told most of these features are "optional extras" and would need to be added during assembly at the factory (at considerable additional expense), which in turn means between a 4 to 6 month wait for delivery.
It was a no brainer for us.
The guys at Elite RV were great and they had Delawares in stock and ready for delivery.
The Delaware itself is a fantastic RV. It is our second Fiat Ducato - our last was an Avan Ovation.

What protection is installed for under floor pipe work. Some other brands seem to have loose pipes with no protection from debri on roads. Could a photo of the underside be obtained? Thankyou.

No photos, but I've spent some time underneath mine... I actually bought 'BARTOS' Delaware (the 1st of the reviews)... before this I had 31' Sunliner Ambassador, it had everything you can imagine plum...
Read morebed & wired into it ie dishwasher, cloths-washer, 2 A/c. 2 fridges, BBQ etc etc (is the predecessor to Monte Carlo) looking at both from a plumbing and wiring point of view, the Delaware is far better organized than Sunliner, for their plumbing they seemed to followed the least line of resistance. They had bare pipes popped-in & popped-out of the floor, where as AutoTrail have most pipes (& wiring) transverse the center-line of the under floor. Also, being built in the UK, the water-tanks and piping are insulated to prevent freezing (and cracking) in their winters. So, yes the Delware's piping is protected to a point. Not to point were stones and debri being thrown up won't eventually damage it. It also worth noting that the Auto-trails don't have mains pressure water system, they use he water tank and a internal water pump to deliver water so there is lees pressure strain on the piping (that blue and red pipe used with zero force coupling only last about 10yrs, I had to replace a few sections of it in the Sunline and the majority was the hot water pipe. All in all I think you find Autotrail much the same as other manufactures but definitely better in some points. Cheers---
