My son 3 1/2 yrs old has medical issues which means we still need a stroller some times. The problem I have found with most is that although he is well below the weight limit, he's almost 17kg, they do not fit him height wise and he is not a tall child. Does the Mini GT allow for the height of an older child not just the weight?

Hi Donna, I measured my GT and the seat back is approx. 55cms and the foot well area approx. 25cms (from where the feet dangles from the seat). As I understand it, the GT was designed to accommodate taller children as well as having a good weight limit. This was one of the reasons (amongst many others) I purchased this pram. Maybe go in store and try one out to make sure it will work for you? Good luck an I hope this helps.

It will depend on where his height is (torso or legs) but my daughter is the same age and has heaps of room left in it. It was the main reason I picked it over the others. You'll need to try him in one though, to be sure.

Do any of you find that the harness is still fitting a 3 year old ? I have a 2013 model and the harness is at full stretch & my daughter is only 16months old.

Will this pram fit into a smaller boot car? I have a Hyundai i30 and don't want to go to the expense if it doesn't fit in the boot.

Hi

I currently use a bugaboo cameleon but I am looking for a 'one piece' pram.

I currently hang a heavy nappy bag on the handlebar and understand that I wont be able to do this but how about a normal bag ie 'everyday handbag'??

I hang light shopping off mine, and have hung a light handbag without any dramas/

I agree with erinju, I hang my handbag and other small shopping bags off mine without any problems, but my nappy bag was always quite heavy and not suitable to hang off the back.

My in-laws (from the US) are wanting to buy us this pram and bring it with them when they come visit just before baby is due. Other than the warranty which I assume they won't honor, is there any other difference between buying it in Oz or US? It is several hundred dollars cheaper there and they are already spending a huge amount coming to visit.

I bought mine in America when on holidays. The only difference is that there won't be a safety wrist strap on the US one.

There are several differences in the American model - the brake is black, not red and there is no wrist strap. In addition the fabric on the AU model is treated with flame retardant. The American model *technically* does not meet Australian standards because of these three differences, but I know plenty of people who have purchased from Amazon in the US and not found this to be a big deal. If at any point you get to sell the pram secondhand, it is good to disclose these facts to potential buyers.

You will get warranty coverage, however you would need to register your warranty with Baby Jogger US and any issues you have you may be up for postage and handling on parts.

Hi I'm a soon to be mum and can't desire what pram I want. I'm tossing.up between.a balcony matrix plus or the gt but others are telling me to.go steel craft. I plan to.do a fair bit of walking and want something that is rather light and.comfortable for Bubs. Storage space isnt exactly a issue at this point and I don't see the need for a huge nappy bag. One thing That i do need though is a capsule comparable pram. Can.someone.please shed some light on the situation?

I had a steelcraft pram before the BJ GT & I wish I'd known what I know now...
The steelcraft was the worst pram! It's not made to last! My wheels went, the brakes started to go, I even had it sent away for repair because the strap snapped (which by the way is in VIC, Ilive in SYD) & that took 2 & half weeks & then when I got it back the brakes were going...Don't waste your money...The BJ GT is the best pram! it can go everywhere, the wheels never need pumping & I have run over glass & everything! It's also so easy to move around as well..Great pram!

I used a Safe n Sound Unity capsule with this pram (We bought the capsule which was compatible with my previous pram), I was not happy with the adapter itself, but the pram is excellent, perhaps find a capsule that is safely compatible with the BJ CM GT. I think Maxi Cosi capsules are good with this pram. Good luck!

I have had mine for 6 months at it has gone everywhere. Have had no problems with the wheels as yet. They are foam filled forever air tyres so they never need pumping, and are fantastic on all terrains. None of my friends have ever had problems with theirs either.

Hi Kerry H, these tires r filled wit a lightweight foam instead if air to ensure they never go flat. Happy wit mine :)

The tires are a great feature on the pram. No problems here. Had them off road, up stairs and done a fair few miles with them and they are showing pretty much no wear at all.

Does the GT tip backwards easily with a nappy bag hanging on the handle, I have read where a few people have mentioned this, would love to know how bad it is?

Honestly, I don't put my bag here as I find I kick it when pushing the stroller and there isn't a huge amount of space when the seat is fully reclined.
I've never had any tipping issues though with the pram in any other situation.
Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Even though it says not to hang bags from the handle bars... I do & my pram has never tipped over?
I find it weird when i read posts about how this pram tips over because mine hasn't, so if their prams are tipping they must be putting alot of weight of the handle bars?
To me the baby jogger gt has no faults! Its the perfect pram!

Melissa Thompson
Melissa Thompson

No mine tipped and I had nothing hanging on the handle bars. Going down hills was the worst. My baby is 3 months old, the baby shop admitted to me its common for it to tip until the baby is older and heavier and weighs down the pram. Their justification is that you have a wrist strap to catch it if it tips to stop it. Did not tip at all with the bassinet attachment on the pram.
