Best investment!!
This is a fantastic travel cost, folds small and is light. I thought the mattress was going to be too thin but it's perfect. I've used it to travel overseas and interstate but also great to take to friends / family places for naps, etc (especially when baby starts moving around and you can't leave them alone anymore). It is pricey but I would highly recommend this to everyone as an essential purchase.

Love it! Love it! Love it!
One of our best purchases. So simple to put up and pull down. The extra $$ means I can rest easy at night. I trust it 100%. It looks fantastic--hate tacky baby stuff, it's high quality and super safe. The price doesn't bother me one bit as it truly is worth every dollar. You will not regret buying this! I love it, hubs loves it and best of all, babe loves it :)

Love it!! Wondering why I didn't buy one sooner!
I love this portacot! I've been lugging around an old childcare portico all this time! That one finally broke and with another bub on the way we decided to upgrade. The mattress is far more comfortable, it is so light, it folds up smaller than most so it's not as awkward to carry, and best of all it is easy to use. I HATED setting up our old portacot. This one is as simple as can be. Big thumbs up! Definitely worth the price.

A life saver. Awesome product
Purchased this cot off amazon. I wasn't sure whether to buy a cheaper portacot but we travel a lot and need something lightweight. Now that it's arrived my son sleeps in it all the time. He kept banging his head in the wooden cot after standing then loosing balance as his quite active. Now even if he falls I don't mind as his heads protected by the mesh. It folds up nicely but it takes a few tries of learning to put it together. It's sturdy and doesn't flip even with my son bouncing up and down on it's edges. It's not as small as i thought once folded. Probably 60cm x40cm but very light I can easily carry baby, my luggage and the travel cot.

Love Love Love
I have to say I am in love with my baby shower present from my nearest and dearest. I have used this cot when traveling to Queensland to visit family. It was absolutely brilliant and I was able to sneak in the bedding and my babies clothes in the bag too. We have used it on 12 occasions in the last 6 months and every time we are amazed at how easy it is to put up and how well our bub has slept every time, even better than his own cot at times. I am returning to work and am able to bring my baby with me so I will be setting up the cot in the office so he can sleep with ease whilst I work away. What a great product.

So quick and easy to set up
Absolute great travel cot. I purchased this online from Amazon as I wanted the travel cot with the block out at the bottom (couldn't find any Australian distributors with this model).
The cot is so easy to set up, it takes me a minute from taking it out of the travel bag to having it standings upright and ready to use.
We have travelled interstate and overseas with it. At 5kg, it is very lightweight - yet when open, it's sturdy and I feel secure leaving my child in it. My son used it till he was 18months and now my 5 month old baby girl i...Read more
s using it. There is a washable mattress fitted sheet for the mattress too. Many of the other travel cots are an absolute pain to assemble - I spent time at Baby Bunting trying each one out. While this cot is definitely more expensive, it is definitely worth it. You won't regret it!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great product
This portacot is easy to use and my baby sleeps really well in it. It's simple to put up and down and fits neatly back into its bag. It's really useful to take when visiting friends. I haven't used other brands but I think it looks much better quality than most others. Have not regretted this purchase, even though it seemed a little expensive at the time.
Ease of use, baby sleeps well, light practical case.

Fantastic product
This is by far the best baby purchase I have made. I hesitated over the cost but it has been well worth it. It basically assembled itself when I took it out of the bag and it folds up quickly and easily into a great size. It does not take up much room when assembled and the matress looks very comfy. My 12 week old had her best sleep on her first night in it and continued to sleep beautifully for the rest of the trip. She likes it better than her cot at home. I didn't buy the expensive sheets to go with it and found that a fitted cot sheet worked fine.
Easy to assemble and put away, comfortable for baby

A must have
So its coming up to three years owning our Travel Cot Light with number two on the way and I just wanted to shout out how terrific its been. Our 2.5 year old still sleeps in it when on holidays (alibeit now a little snugly) but still loves it. Now being 100 million months pregnant the cot is a godsend as its so light and easy to assemble and doesn't take up loads of room in the car! Don't go past this one!
Light, easy to assemble

Clever design and Super lightweight
Baby Bjorn have out done themselves with this cleverly designed port a cot. I've used others in the past and they are no comparison. It ticks all the boxes.. Lightweight, very easy to assemble and disassemble, breathable mesh fabric and firm foam mattress.
No other port a cot is as light as this which makes it perfect for travelling.
The very first time my 5 month old used it he fell asleep within 5 minutes! The black mesh seems to sooth him off to sleep, each time..
I also use it as a play pen if I need to have a shower or hang the laundry..
It's worth every cent.
Lightweight and extremely easy to use.

Excellent cot
Great travel cot, super easy to fold out and stow away, light, comfy and good looking. Great materials, very nice quality. I have actually also used it as a play pen for those times when I need to take a shower while my daughter is awake - takes no time at all to put it up and put away! It's sturdy and stable even when my daughter stands up in it. Love it!

Simply the best
We have travelled the world with this cot, and it is just brilliant. At times we have used it as our main cot at home too if the little one is unsettled at night. It's so easy to pack/unpack and it is light and practical to carry and stow with luggage. It is the best travel cot we've come across
Light, sturdy, practical to transport, easy to assemble/dismantle

Best buy ever!!!!
Awesome travel cot - bought it a week ago for interstate travel to big noisy horse show. Year old baby slept 12 hours in it in total oblivious comfort and well ventilated - for each of the four days we were away.
Sets up and packs away in an instant.
Best baby buy and totally impressed as is husband.
Buy it - it also doubles as neat little playpen for those times you need to contain the little monsters....

IN LOVE!!
This is the most amazing portacot EVER! Honestly it's pricey but so worth it... The quality is great and it is beyond easy to put up! We live out quite remote so this is a god send as we travel and camp a lot... Also great for taking baby to a dinner party etc. where you normally couldn't be bothered to take a portacot this is so easy to transport and put up it's not a hassle! I unfortunately made the mistake of buying a different portacot and was so sick of fighting with it that I sold it and bought this one before we went on a big holiday...
Easy to assemble, folds into briefcase size!
Expensive!

Well designed
We love it, it's light and easy to use and well ventilated. Only downside is limited warranty of 12 months. Portacot a aren't a product you would use frequently to identify any faults in such a short period of time. We have washed ours to freshen it up and when washing the carry bag all the inside has frayed ( clearly a fault when made as material cut too short). The outside is immaculate which shows we have cared for this product. When contacting the manufacturers they weren't interested in doing anything but told us we could purchase a new one for $25 (aus).
Ease of use and lightweight. Fantastic design.
Limited warranty, poor quality of inside lining of carry bag.

Worth Every Cent
This cot can be Set up within a minute, it is super easy to fold down and repack (90 seconds tops!) and easy and light to carry.
Having worked as a nanny and with many nieces and nephews I have struggled with many Portable cots over the years... I wish this had been made years ago!
The only problem is the price compared to other portable cots, but for the ease of use and ease of travel this item truly is worth the price for any family who does even a moderate amount of car or plane travel.
So easy to use, Light

1,2,3... sleep!
Set up within 90 secs (including making the bed with sheets!). really simple to erect, lightweight, breathable and sturdy. my baby slept in this portable cot for one month before i was ready to put him into his own room and i loved this cot.
it's a little bulkier than the phil and ted's portable cot, but is so much simpler to set up that it wins on every other count. wish it packed a little flatter or could hold clothes, nappies, blankets or other baby stuff in its travel case, as life gets heavier and more cumbersome when travelling with children!
Easy to erect, lightweight, sturdy, breathable.
No shoulder carry strap, (more) expensive.

Baby Bjorn Travel Cot
This is an excellent travel cot. So light and easy to set up and pack up. We use it in our Caravan and my 7 month daughter sleeps really well in it. The only thing I am disappointed in, is that it costs so much. I have just discovered the Valco Zephr which is half the price and appears to be very similar.
Easy set up and pack up. Light.

The best money I spent
I absolutely love this portacot & recommend it to all my pregnant friends. I've used it since my 1st was quite young as we tend to go away to our beach house during the summer. She had no problems sleeping in it. I'm now about to use it with no.2. It's light, compact & easy to set up/pack up so you don't worry about visiting friends during nap times.
I love demonstrating it to friends that have older kids who didn't have the option to buy this & seeing their expressions is priceless. They can't believe how easy it is & all say they wish the...Read more

Questions & Answers
Jessica H.asked
Does the sheet made for the cot have holes for the safety hooks to be able to attach to the mattress?
2 answers
Ours didn’t - I can see how that would be a good idea. If it helps, our sheet has never come off - the fitted elastic of the sheet holds the sheet to the mattress very well and still left enough room for the safety hooks to attach directly from the base of the cot to the holds on the mattress. So, even without holes, the sheet didn’t really get in the way of the safety hooks.
Thank you!!

Has this particular cot caused any infant deaths?

The product says it complies with Australian safety standards however it describes the mattress as soft, which is not recommended due to the increased risk of SIDS. Wondering how soft this actually is?
1 answer
The mattress is foamlike inside however the cover is thick and strong so I wouldn't describe the mattress as a whole as 'soft'. Also when the mattress is in the portacot it is completely flat and is tucked into the edges quite safely.
