Wonderful and has given me confidence to travel
I read all of these reviews and ummed and ahhhed for a few months before buying this cot due to the expense. When I finally bought this cot my baby was 6 months old. I wanted to travel over night and for a safe place for bubs to play when I needed to do house hold chores. It has been so wonderful that I now regret not buying it earlier. I shopped around and purchased for it for $320. It is light weight, takes seconds to erect and just the same to collapse and pack away. Initially we used it just for travel and then as bubs started thrashing aro...
Read moreund her cot and hitting her head I then used it for all daytime naps as the mesh was soft and she wouldn't get injured. The cot fabric is removable from the frame and is machine washable. Very handy as my baby has reflux I can tell you! I like how the bottom section has non mesh material so bubs has some darkness to rest in but the upper surrounding mesh allows excellent airflow. The mattress fits perfectly into the cot without gaps (excellent safety feature) but you are able to tuck a sheet in if needed. I have been using a regular cot sheet but it does get a bit baggy (and I thought it would be unsafe)so I splurged on a Bjorn fitted sheet as we use it so often. I hear the Target bassinet sheets fit well. It is low to the ground but I find this is good as I can kneel down and bottom pat easily. My baby is fussy on where she will sleep but she loves this cot and finds the mattress as comfortable as her regular cot. I am very happy with this product and if you value your child sleeping well on over night trips then you will pay the money! Lightweight, easy to assemble and disassemble, practical and washable It is pricey but so good that I have not regretted buying it.

Great for travelling around the world
We bought our cot when our lad was 4 weeks old, visiting the UK. We've since travelled with it around Qld, and to Sydney, and again now overseas to the UK, Holland, Singapore, Perth and back again.
It is incredibly light, easy to set up, and there is space when travelliung to put the sheets you use with it in the bag for travel.
Our lad also enjoys a good litle play in it.
Light, easy to set up and put down. Still a good size for a 15mth old lad. easy to clean
Very expensive compared to other port a cots - even when buying in the UK / Europe where they are significantly less expensive.

Love it!
We were lucky enough to have another shopper recommend the BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light as we were looking in a store. It's super easy to put up, looks like a standard cot so baby is happy to sleep in it (unlike the tent-type travel cots which are often treated as a game by babies), the quality is fantastic and second-hand resale prices are very high. We've used it on a few trips already and our daughter has slept well in it. My only tip would be to shop around online as you can save an amazing amount. Very happy with the cot and the price I paid!
Brilliant design, easy to use, great price.

Bub sleeps like a dream
We found this porta cot so light, so easy to use and comfortable for bub. He sleeps every night in it at the moment and he seems to love it. We travel frequently and I don't break my back lugging it into hotel rooms or out of the car and setting it up after all day travelling is great as it only takes a few seconds. I love how the sides are tilted in a bit so bub can't climb out, the porta cot does rest on the floor which isn't a problem, however if you were camping you would need to put something on the ground below it (such as a tarp)
Light, easy to assemble, sides curve in, perfect for bub
Is expensive but worth it if you travel or plan on using it a lot like we do.

Great Portacot
I purchased this after reading some reviews on this site. Not having had a portacot before, I was looking for one with a nicely padded mattress that would be comfortable for my son. We are currently using it in place of his bassinette, as he sleeps in our room overnight. It was so easy to setup, and there was no assembly required. Just pulled it out of the bag, and away I went.
Easy to setup and take down, packs away in a briefcase size bag
A bit hard to put a sleeping baby into it, without disturbing them

Perfect
This is a brilliant portacot, we have travelled overseas and interstate with it. Our toddler sleeps comfortably in this, and it doesn't tip when our toddler leans against it. Unlike many others, this portacot fits easily in a small space, is super easy to assemble (one handed even) and pack up (requires 2 hands). Well worth the cost.
Durable, easy to assemble and pack up, compact, travels well.
Would be great if the carrier had a pocket to put small incidentals.

Light, simple, happy baby!
We have just done a quick trip to the UK to visit family, with our 4 month old daughter. The Baby Bjorn travel cot was perfect as it fits in our suitcase (yes it’s a big suitcase!), and is light and very quick and easy to assemble and disassemble. We have borrowed other travel cots from friends in the past but the baby bjorn one is defintely the way to go!
Light, simple, happy baby!

Too easy!
My husband struggled so long to use the other ones, that when i found this I couldnt resist getting it for his birthday. You dont need to press any buttons and fold in certain directions. The weight is so light and compacts into a smal area. I love this brand.
easy to use
pricey.

Our friends with babies all want to steal it!
It was a big expense at the time for us and a few people said we were crazy buying a more expensive port-a-cot when their (huge heavy ones) only cost $99. But... It is the best baby item we have invested in for our daughter. It is one of those items when you have to use it, you think.. Thank god we spent the money. It is so light, so incredibly easy to put up (I love showing other parents the 'tada' as I unzip the bag, unfold the cot and flip it so the legs all click into place practically on their own. Sets up in literally 30 seconds (I could ...
Read moredo it in 10 :-). Packing up takes one minute and takes only a few goes to get the method down pat. We bought it for these reasons but also because it won't tip over and is open and breathable (good for SIDS and hot climates). Our daughter sleeps like a dream it it. I didn't believe it was normal length so I measured it in the shop, it is narrower but not shorter so fits tall toddlers. It's narrower width means you can squeeze it into hotel rooms and friends studies much easier! Haven't done it yet but it all unzips to wash it. The case is a strong duffel bag fabric and went fine on the plane (they didn't believe it was a cot at first because it is so light (5kg). Just buy one and save yourself the hassle of shopping around (look for a sale!) Light, so easy to use, baby sleeps safe and sound Bit expensive but just save for it!Find out how BabyBjorn Travel Cot compares to other Portacots

Worth the $$ for the portability and ease of use.
Like many other reviewers have also done, I did a lot of research before purchasing this cot. I wanted a truly portable cot as we do a lot of travelling, both by air and in the car, so needed something lightweight, and small, and easy to assemble. I narrowed my choice down to the Baby Bjorn and the Phil and Ted.
I am so glad I purchased the Baby Bjorn! It is so easy to set up and pack away. The mattress is thick and comfy, and the cotton sheet stays on securely, and you can tuck your blanket in securely as well. My son (who does not sleep we...
Read morell anyway), has no trouble sleeping in this cot. My friend purchased the Phil and Ted, so I have experienced that as well. When comparing the 2 products, the main negatives for the Phil and Ted are that the mattress is not inside the cot (it slips in a slot under the cot), so you cannot tuck any bedding under the mattress, and the mattress is much thinner than the baby bjorn one. Also, it is not easy to set up and disassemble. I had to disassemble it for her, and I have to admit I was cursing while I was doing it! While more expensive than most portacots on the market, the baby Bjorn is truly worth the extra $$ If you want the portability and ease of use. The RRP is around $399, however I purchased it for $320. So easy to set up and disassemble. Comfortable. Light. Expensive, however if you shop around, you can get it for $320 instead of $399Sorry...I didn't see your message. I got it from baby bedding. I saved on postage by going to pick it up myself (it is in Burwood in Melbourne). I just checked their website and noticed the price has increased to $335.
Pram Warehouse in Brisbane has it for $320 also. It shows it online

Very convenient
I was initially a bit hesitant about buying the travel cot because of the price but after watching the set up instructions I decided to give it a go. Certainly lived up to expectations and was the easiest and fastest cot set up.
Easy to transport and comfy for baby. Easy to fold up and not a huge contraption.
Great for holidays or visiting.
Easy to use

Worth the money
After experiencing the heaviness and awkwardness of a borrowed cot we went to a store to buy one. The cots where you have to pull up the middle were so frustrating and heavy! We weren't thinking of spending so much on one but when we looked at this we had to go with it. So, so easy to put up and down, only weighs 5kg, is compact, great quality, mattress is a lot more comfortable than other ones. Can tuck sheets in tightly. We had bubs sleep in it during her day naps for a while to get used to it and not a problem!
Light, strong, looks good, easy to transport, quality materials, comfy matteress.
Can't think of anything apart from a bit pricey but SO worth it

Spend the money and enjoy many times over.
Awesome product. Umm-ed and Ahh-ed about it for a while because of cost, but took the plunge and have not regretted it. Every time I take it out of the bag and 'flip' it out someone always goes "Wow - that's amazing". It really is amazing!
My son definitely wont fit in it till 3 years old but I'm ok with that.
Cot sheets from Target fit the mattress fine. Don't buy the Baby Bjorn ones.
The carry bag is good quality.
My fav baby purchase ever!
Lightweight, so simple to pack up and set up.
Expensive, but worth every dollar. A bit small in length

Don't waste your money buying anything else!
I spent a year trying to find the right travel cot for my baby and spent far too much money of cheap and nasty products - until I found this one.
Easy to set up and easy to fold. Comfortable thick mattress, good textiles. It's worth to spend the $ for this product!
Easy to set up, fold back into the bad easily, comfortable, well designed

The only travel cot I would ever recommend
This cot takes seconds to erect and seconds to pack up. It only weighs 5kg, complete with mattress, and you don't need a degree to work it out! It's comfortable and safe, and our baby loves it. We take it everywhere we go, even though he is now a toddler.
Light, easy to use, great quality, washable.
No cons to speak of.

Fantastic product
The most painful thing about this cot is the initial expense. After handing over the money and using it, I don't regret it for a second. The cot is extremely portable, easy to set up, feels nice and sturdy and my son is happy sleeping in it.
What more could you want!
The big bonus I found is that my target bassinet fitted sheet fits the mattress without any problems.
Very happy with the product.
Lightweight, easy to set up.
Expensive. Product information states it covers from birth to 3yrs but I believe it would have to be a small 3yrs old. Perhaps more 1 1/2years if your child is on the longer side.

Great cot - you get what you pay for!
Fantastic portacot - just like all Baby Bjorn products, it is of very high standard. Takes a minute to unfold and set up and 2 minutes to fold up. There is no other portacot like this. Comes in a handy zip bag, making it very easy to transport. The mattress is very comfortable for baby. You have to buy the matching mattress cover separately but you can use a standard mattress cover as well - it's just a little loose.
The only con about this product is that it is low set, so you have to stoop down low to put your newborn/young baby to sleep. But once they have good head control, this isn't an issue anyway.
Very lightweight, easy to set up and fold away and transport
Expensive, a bit low set

Revolutionary - Far superior to any other travel cot on the market
Being a bit obsessive I did my research. I looked at this site and many others. I looked in shops and online to see the products. The BabyBjorn travel cot light wasn't even initially a consideration due to the considerably higher price tag. However, we wanted a travel cot that was practical to travel with in weight and size. We also wanted something that wasn't completely mesh around the sides as if our baby can see too much out of the cot while asleep, particularly in new places, he's more likely to stare at the surrounds than sleep. Also, we ...
Read morehave found that many other portacots don't have very sleep friendly mattresses nor can you tuck the blankets or sheets in. So when I was in a shop I saw the Babybjorn travel cot light on display. It looks deceptively small as it comes in on top. The mattress itself is quite a decent size. It is also super comfortable and much closer to a real cot mattress than anything else on the market. Today we trialled it for the first time. It took one minute to set the cot up from the moment I zipped open the case. The baby went down and obviously was very comfortable as he slept with no difficulties. The lower height of this crib also means that if we ever need to reach down to pat and settle him, we can easily do it crouched on the floor on our knees (I found when using other portacots that I had to lean in from a standing position which kills your back and makes it virtually impossible to do for more than a few moments at a time). Basically, we have already forgotten the extra money we paid to purchase this cot and will enjoy the freedom of taking it from place to place and setting it up and collapsing it with such ease. I'm already thrilled we bought it and know that it's going to make visiting others and travelling so much easier now that we are so portable. truly portable - much smaller in weight and size; convenient travel bag; very comfy mattress; very quick and simple to assemble and pack away more expensive than competitors but given it is so far superior, well worth the extra $; manual doesn't describe how to disassemble very well but one viewing of http://youtu.be/_8RFa0SuUrc and I found myself able to do it without any difficultyExactly what we needed
As a family who travels by plane & car regularly we needed something that I could carry if my husband wasn't with me. This is so light and easy to transport
Cheaper than the Baby Bjorn portacot, 3.2kg, easy to assemble, versatile
Excellent
Great cot - best one on the market. Can open with one hand with the flick of a wrist - no horrible lock mechanisms to deal with. It's washable and although the mattress doesn't look very big it's as long as all other cots, just thinner. believe me, after struggling to open any other portacot you will relish the ease of this one. it is expensive, but as far as i'm concerned, if you are prepared to pay for convenience and lack-of-frustration then this is the cot for you. My boy it and I could not be happier with my purchase.
So easy to put up and down. Don't need an engineers degree just to get it up and down like some other portacots.
Nothing - it's fantastic!!!!

Expensive but worth it!
This portacot is easy to setup, take down and return into it's bag. Bubs sleeps really well on this mattress as it's thick. The base of the cot sits on the ground so it's the safest cot I could find. Convenient to travel with and super light.
Safe, light, easy to use, bubs sleeps well.

Fantastic, easy to use, light weight, perfect for travelling
I purchased this cot after doing lots of research and being very unhappy with our other two portacots. Both previous cots were so hard to get up and so heavy, not to mention took up valuable boot space in our car.
The Baby Bjorn Travel Cot Light has been a dream. It is so light, portable and easy to assemble. Our baby loves sleeping in it and it is so easy to move around and get up that we take it to friends houses for dinner so baby always has a place to sleep.
Love, Love, Love it and highly recommend spending the extra money to get it.
Easy to assemble, light, packs into an excellent size bag.
It is expensive, but I think it is worth it. Shop around online and you can save $$$

Although the price is quite high, I would pay again, I borrowed a portacot before purchasing this one, it was a nightmare to put up and down, turned me off buying one, until I came across this one. Def worth the money!
This travel cot is absolutely fantastic. It is lightweight, easy to put up and down, mattress feels very comfortable.
None, perfect!

I'm impressed with how easy this was to use when I took it out of the carry bag. My three month old baby was with me when I opened it up and assembled it and was full of smiles when I put her in and let her play by herself. The deciding factor for me was its weight. When your're travelling you have enough gear to take, so i wanted to make sure I kept things simple to make travelling easy. It's s size, weight and the tough carry bag are therefore ideal. Also, the simple, sturdy design means, I'd say, no chance of damage when packed. Search aroun...
Read mored on price because you can get them for around AUD$320 rather than $400. It's also great to put outside because the mattress is fairly thick and comfy, perfect for those summer days. You could also easily throw a mozzi net over it. Lightweight: 5kg compared to the majority on the market which are 10-15+kg. Compact to carry, to store and when in use. Good amount of mesh for baby to see out. Machine washable. SUPER EASY to use. No need to refer to instructions for how to put up, although do read them, as it is recommended that you read them before use. Sheet is organic cotton. Sturdy.- 59 reviews

Really love this portacot. I did allot of research on travel cots before I bought this and there were so many negative comments about them being heavy and needed a degree to put up and down etc. This was the one that stuck out as had no negative comments other than the price. I have even put it in peoples backyard when having a BBQ and had my daughter in it with her toys and she was more than happy.
Very easy to assemble and very light to carry around in its carry case. Nice and compact, not big and cumbersome and easily washable
Be careful of the legs, I have tripped over them a few times as they stick out a bit. The most expensive portacot but worth it considering how easy it is to use.

Hi - I am interested in purchasing this cot and wondered where you found it for 320? Thanks ; )
