My Beko DV6120X was making squeaky noises then eventually drum stopped spinning, checked the belt and is intact I’m assuming next port of call was the rear axle or spindle?? The part that sits smack bang in middle of drum at the rear, I manually tried rotating the drum after removing the back cover and top. Is it a rear axl/spindle issue? If so can anyone offer advice?

can the dryer be wall mounted upside down above the washing machine

Hi Allan Hall,
Thank you for your enquiry. All of our dryer models are designed to be either placed on a solid surface such as the floor or on top of a washing machine using a stacking kit in situ. They cannot be mounted on the wall due to the weight of the machine.

Why doesn't my Beko dryer completely dry my clothes? I always have to turn to the dryer again . I have cleaned the filters

We've found that our Beko dryer tends to err on the side of caution when it comes to the automatic sensor functions. Probably not a bad thing, but I can see how it could be annoying. I guess it's just an operating characteristic of the machine.

Do you need to use the hose on the back?? Our laundry only has 2 doors and no windows and I really don't want the house open if I am using it of a night time.

If you want to leave a spot on your laundry wall where the paint starts peeling off, then go for it. This is an operating characteristic of most entry-level dryers. Many of these just dump condensation through a grille on the front door. At least the hose gives the user a chance to direct the vapour into a particular spot.

It may be a bit late now, but for a house with a laundry where there's limited ventilation opportunities, a condenser dryer is well worth the extra money. Another option would be to install an exhaust fan in your ceiling (if you're an owner-occupier) and point the hose at it. Hope that helps.

All good...it is in another room and the hose goes out the window when I use it. Not the best dryer tho it keeps playing up and I have already had it fixed once.

Have this model need new rubber belt can I install this myself?

It looks easy enough to change the belt over. I've taken the back of my machine off a couple of times to oil the drum pulley spindle, and it looks like the belt is easy enough to get to. BTW: if you want to change the belt to try and solve a noisy drum issue, try some 3-in-1 oil on the drum pulley spindle. It should quieten the machine down for a while.

Does this dryer have a reversable door? Mine opens the wrong way for my laundry?

I don't believe so, and I don't think it's wall mountable either, so no option to turn it upside down to reverse the way the door opens. Check with your local appliance shop though, I could be wrong or they might have a model with either reversable door or wall mount(upside down) options.

Thanks Steve, I know it's not mountable, as my old Hoover was, but bought a stand for it (with a drawer in it) so it's the right height for my crook back

No. This dryer must be externally vented and comes with basic kit.

The dryer vents to the back so if you don't install the venting kit that is included it will blow hot air onto the wall.

I only own a Beko dryer, I am not a technician. However, the only reference in the user manual to flashing lights refers to the filter light flashing if it detects the filter may be clogged. If you are referring to the internal drum light there could be several reasons for it, but I'd suggest you contact the company you purchased the dryer from in the first instance, and ask for the local Beko service support number, but also check about warranty coverage etc.

Model dv6120x. Best clothes dryer we have ever used. Can it be used upside down?

I have looked at both my dryer and the user manual. The manual does not mention upside down installation, and my opnion after looking at the machine is no, it can't be installed upside down. The Beko is not wall mountable as the ventilation hose connects to the bottom rear of the machine and there are no mounting points anywhere on the back. It could be turned upsidedown on a flat supporting surface but that too will not work as the lint filter, which is simply sits in a recess under the door rim, would not stay in position to even close the door if the machine was upsidedown. Trust that answers your query.

Hi Harry, I agree with Mango Martini's answer. The Beko in question is not designed to be wall mounted and I am pretty sure you could not use it upside down either.

Is this dryer stackable to washing machine?

Mounting the Beko DV6120X Dryer Over a Washing Machine.

The Beko DV6120X User Manual, which can be downloaded from the Beko website, gives the following instructions for mounting the dryer over a washing machine:

• A fitting device should be used between the two machines when installing above a washing machine. The bracket (Part no. 296 280 0100 white/296 280 0200 grey) must be installed by the Authorised Service Agent.
• Place the product on a firm floor. If it will be placed on top of a washing machine, the approximate weight of both machines may reach 180 kg when they are full. Therefore, the floor must be capable of carrying that load on it!

I custom built a small platform 530mm high and mounted my Beko dryer on that which suits my situation. However, I'm sure the Beko fitting device to mount it above a washing machine will work as described, but not having used one I cannot make any further comment.

Only a little bit gets under the filter and I don't empty it every load . It can be pulled out of the filter cavity. It doesn't affect drying.

A modern Dryer should not put this much dust into the air in an apartment I know it doesn't affect the drying it makes the apartment full of dust

MangoMartini
MangoMartini

The dust you refer to is actually your clothes in the dryer breaking down and being blown around your room as microfine dust. If you use a top loader washing machine they get more of a battering than if you use a front loader which are gentler on clothing. Once placed in a dryer, the battered fibres of your clothing are sucked out by the dryer and blown all around the area where you use your dryer.

The dust particles that fill your room are too fine for the filter to trap. The filters are not designed to trap microfine particles otherwise they would clog up very quickly and need cleaning several times during one load. If there is that much dust circulating around your room, it is possible the clothes are being over dried.

Ten years ago we switched from a top loader to a front loader washing machine. The sales rep told us to expect a longer life from our clothing and that we would see a marked difference in the amount of lint in our dryer filter. He was completely right on both counts, but it was the difference in the amount of lint trapped by the dryer filter that was staggering. By comparison, the clothing washed in the front loader produces very little lint, whereas the top loader washing clogged the filter everytime.
