Black enamel, not stainless steel, but otherwise good
This is described as being stainless steel finish, but there's precious little stainless steel in evidence. The sides are black enamel, the hob is black enamel, the interior of the grill and oven cavity is enamel, the trivets are cast iron. The only parts that are stainless steel are the handles on the grill and oven, and the strips of trim down the sides of the grill and oven doors.
That being said, it is not bad looking in a black, slightly 1970s sort of way.

so as well as grilling toast (which was just about all that would fit under the griller on my previous stove) you can grill thicker foods and brown the top of au gratins and similar cheese or crumb-topped deep dishes. The grill shelf is the same as the oven shelves, so if you need a third oven shelf you can borrow the one from the grill. You can also conveniently put plates at the base of the grill cavity to warm. It doesn't come with a grill pan handle but I haven't noticed the lack. The grill pan sits on the shelf, so you can pull the shelf out with your bare hands after short periods of grilling, or with an oven glove after longer periods, remove the food and leave the pan to cool on the shelf prior to cleaning. The top burners are arranged with two same-sized medium ones at the back, and a small burner and wok burner at the front. I think I would have liked the small one to be at the back, but this is clearly a matter of personal preference. The burners seem a bit less hot than the equivalents on my old stove, but this is hard to verify. The oven door opens to the side, with the hinges on the left hand side. If you need to put the cooker in a right hand corner, then this could be a problem - you can't swap the door around or order a right hand hinge model. The side opening door is a good feature. It is much easier to access the oven without having to lean over the door. It is taking quite a while to burn off the 'new oven' smell that all new ovens have, so I have not used the oven very much yet. There is a fan that comes on automatically with the grill and the oven (separate from the fan in the oven used for fan-forced cooking - a feature which I have not yet tried). It is fairly quiet, now that I have wedged something in to stop the metal at the back of the cooker from rattling. In general, I am happy with this stove. It was very reasonably priced and the large grill cavity and side opening oven are unique and worthwhile features. Edit on 6/11/17: after three months' use of the cooker, I am upping it from four to five stars. I have now used the oven more than I had when I wrote the above and I am pleased with it, as well. It seems to heat up quickly (possibly because it is a little smaller than many ovens in comparably sized cookers, due to the space taken up by the larger sized grill cavity) and it also seems to hit the correct temperature - the cooking times given in recipes are mostly spot on. It cooks evenly, for a gas oven (ie, not perfectly evenly, but pretty evenly). Another good feature of the oven is that you can easily remove the twin sheets of glass in the door for cleaning - they just slide out.
