Waste of space and money

published

It does not work. Not even for one second. Pathetic. 100 grams of a nappy cream that does not work but praised by so many. Curash i would rate worthy but Bepanthen is useless and a horrible unmarketable name. Quality matters much more to me thsn quantity and i am aware this brand comes in various sizes. I regret buying it.

Love, love, love!

published

My bub never really had nappy rash, but when she had a mild tummy bug recently, I noticed during nappy changes that her skin was getting quite red. I started using Bepanthen after every nappy change and after only 2 applications, I could see a big improvement. I was surprised how fast it worked! It spreads easily, doesn't smell of chemicals and available from the supermarket as well. Now I use it only in the evening before my daughter goes to bed and it really creates a barrier that protects her skin from irritation. I would definitely recommend it!
Effective yet gentle, easy to find

Bepanthen First Aid Antiseptic Cream stops scabbing/ crusting on Tattoos

published

I was told to use this cream to prevent my tattoo from scabbing/ crusting. I applied it about 4 times daily, and i didn't get any scabbing whatsover. It was excellent! With creams i was told to use for a previous tattoo, i got lots of ugly scabbing, I didn't find Bepanthen any more expensive than other similar creams. We are happy that it has proved effective for tattoo scabbing, rashes and skin irritations..
It works better than some other first aid creams

Tried using for ezcema and also eyebrow feathering repair

published

I thought I'd try this at first for relief for small patches of ezcema on my face. My skin ended up reacting and turned the dry patches into red patches so that wasn't so good but it was good for using to keep the eyebrow feathering area moist after the treatment.
Good that its a Clear ointment (rather than white paste)

Great product for irritable skin

published

A product that works on nappy rash and irritating skin. Only a small amount is needed and sooths the rash instantly. My daughter suffers from eczema and this cream has helped her immensely. A must buy for parents of kids with nappy rash and/or irritable skin. Only needed to be applied sporadically.
Inexpensive, reliable, happy baby!

no more nappy rash!

published

We don't use this ointment every day, only when the bottom is a bit pink. On daily basis we use Bepanthen cream before the little one goes to bed at night (He sleeps 11-12 hours, so I just don't want to take the chance!)
You only need to use a tiny bit, it might be dearer than other cream, but for per usage price, it ends up cheaper! It does not stain clothes and it's so light, it's easy to apply. Also it smells nice!

I don't see much use in this cream. It is full of chemicals. Doesn't have any healing properties. Is expensive. Didn't seem to work at all for me. I think some hospitals push it because they are paid to?
Easy to wipe off
Doesn't seem to do anything
Full of chemicals

a well known brand of nappy rash cream that comes in a stube that will last you a long time as you only need to use sparingly
i dont personally use this cream but have received it in sample size with baby promotions and given it a go..isnt oily based and is easy to apply you actually dont require much to get the coverage required. gentle on skin, no irritation was noted and would ensure the little red areas disappeared really fast. comes in a tube which is easy to store in nappy bags or on shelf with other baby products
the screw lid became messy as i had some of the cream on fingers and didnt notice it.

Very expensive for the size and not as effective as other brands available. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
This cream is quite a light cream, so it is easy to wipe onto your baby's bottom.
This cream is expensive. Compared to other brands, this cream didn't work as well for my baby. Whilst it still provided a wetness barrier for my child, she still seemed to have minor breakout of nappy rash with this cream. I think it was due to the fact that this cream is not very thick, and seemed to be absorbed into the skin far too quickly.

I used to use zinc based nappy rash creams but I now prefer Bepanthen. It helps to soothe an outbreak of nappy rash and also prevent it from getting worse. It provides a protective waterproof layer that proetcts their sensitive skin.
Easy to apply
Large, economical tube
Doesn't irritiate sensitive skin

I tend to use a zinc nappy rash cream most of the time but do sometimes use this product on my daughter. However I always have this product on my bed side table for my lips. I suffer from very dry lips and once had cracks at the corner of my mouth. I went to the chemist and was recommended Bepanthan as it has vitamin B5. It works really well, actually it is the best lip mosituriser I have used. Of course more difficult to pop in your hand bag than a stick but I find I only need it morning and night. At times I will put it on my eczema if I can't find my eczema cream.
Smooth and not greasy. Well priced. Not a strong smell to it. Gentle.
No cons but the tube can get a bit messy.

This is a fairly good nappy cream and is an effective water barrier. I would use this more to prevent nappy rash, rather than to treat it. It has a pleasant smell and is gentle on the skin, so I do like to have some around the house.
This cream will last a long time on the nappy change shelf! You don't need very much of it and it is a very effective barrier cream, so it will prevent nappy rash from occuring.
It is a little too oiley for my liking, as I prefer Sudocreme for nappy changes. If you use oiley nappy creams with cloth nappies or modern cloth nappies, it can be harder to wash them.

Really recommend as a preventative measure for nappy rash or for when redness has arrived. it's a really soft cream so goes on really easy compared to sudocream which is really hard to spread.
This is a great product. my doctor also said it was good for irriated skin for the baby when I mentioned I was using it. It's a really good cream to put on at the first sign of redness and in a few hours it can have disappeared.
nothing much to report here - as per other reviews - tube is hard to squeeze when you get down to the bottom. but not a big deal really.

Although i really liked the moistness of this cream, I must say I really disliked its horrible smell. They could have used a softer material for the tube (like Colgate toothpaste tubes) as Bepanthen's tube material is really hard, hence, you can't squeeze the cream out efficiently.
- very moist, easy to apply onto baby's bottom
- smelly cream
- hard material used for the tube

When my baby was less that a week old she bacame ill and was admitted to hospital the medications my daughter was on in hospital caused her to have diahorrea which can cause nappy rash by burning the babies sensitive skin. The hospital gave me a tube of Bepathen Oinment to apply every nappy change to prevent nappy rash so I figured if the hospital recommends and uses Bepanthen it, it must be good.
Bepanthen Ointment works well on nappy rash. My daughter has very sensitive skin easily developing nappy rash. I find that as soon as I notice the rash if I start applying this cream the rash will be gone within 24 hours preventing my daughter from ever developing anything more than mild nappy rash.
None, that I can think of.

My baby was very premature and spent a long time in the intensive care nursery. All the doctors and nurses there recommended this product. We used bepanthen at every nappy change and it kept her little bottom beautiful and smooth.
Works really well. Easy to spread and pleasant to use. Hygenic tube packaging.

I needed a good nappy rash cream so after reading reviews on different creams, I was totally won over with this product so I went out and bought one..good thing it was on special! I recommend buying this product as it treats the nappy rash very quickly..worth buying!
The healing process is quick which is great! It's safe for everyday use and the tube lasts a long time as you only need a dab of cream.
When you smear the cream on to skin, it feels quite thick and pastey. Quite expensive cream to treat a babys bottom!

A great cream that is very soft and long lasting. This was recommended by my midwife at hospital and I have used it for the last 4 months, the tube is a great size for on the go and fits well in the nappy bag. I have tried several cheaper creams such as no name zinc and caster oil and almon cream but have always returned to bepanthen, try it and you will love it.
This is my favourite barrier cream and works really well to prevent nappy rash. The almond oil is lovely as it smells great and is very nourishing.
It is more expensive then other brands but worth the money.

Bepanthen has been fantastic for us and I have happily recommended it to many people. Even when the redness/rash was due to food allergy, it made a significant reduction in the redness.
Very effective. Smells fine. Smooths on easily (not too thick). Lots of recommendations from friends. Trusted brand. We got a little sample tube in our bounty bag with bub arrived. Available at the supermarket.
Only seems to be available in a very large tube. (fine for home, not so good for nappy bag). Because it is in a metal tube, where the tube is bent often has developed cracks. We have only used a small portion of the tube (it lasts ages!) but might have to throw it out?!

I think this cream works really well. It does seem to improve nappy rash in a matter of hours. I like to use it overnight also, even if there is no rash, as it seems to create a nice moisture proof barrier to protect bubs bottom.
As another reviewer stated, I have also heard that it is used to heal tattoos. A friend swears by it, and apparently tattooists recommend it to customers. Must be very healing!
Works really well. Doesn't have a strong irritating fragrance like some other creams
Can go through alot of cream at times. Wish it was a bit cheaper

But overall the benefits of this product far out way the cost i would not only recommend this product i would guarntee its benefits to my family and friends. a 100% neccesity for any new mum.
I love bephanthem it is so versatile from using it on babys dry skin and nappy rash to using it on adults tattoos and chaffing this is definetly a product to have in the medicine cabinet and a little bit of cream really does go along way.I my expirence within hours of using this product on my sons nappy rash there was a hi=uge improvement comparing with alot of other products that i have found take days to see a result.
honestly the only thing i could even critise is that it is more expensive then other products.

Bepanthen is the best product available preventing and soothing nappy rash in my opinion. Even though it is also the dearest product available it goes a long way as you only apply it sparingly at each nappy change. The price is a factor for me and I only use Bepanthen on my baby when he is getting more irritation than normal. A 100 gram tube lasts about a week when applied at every nappy change.
Has ingredients that sooth existing nappy rash as well as forming a barrier to protect against nappy rash occurring.
No real issues though a lower price wouldn't hurt.

I like this product and it does really work when your baby has a nappy rash. I have used it off and on over the past year or so and it is very easy to apply and use. It has a nice feel and texture about it. A bigger packet size would be an improvement.
It is a great cream that is not too thick and spreads really easily. It is good for very delicate baby skin and helps to make baby comfortable when a rash has developed.
Sometimes you can go through the tube quite quickly and it does not come in a big enough packet.

This is a great nappy rash treatment and the tube lasts for ages. My son is 19mths old and we are still on the same one we bought for when he was born - and he gets signs of nappy rash every couple of weeks because of his sensitive skin.
This is one of my favourite nappy rash creams as it is so loght to put on and doesn't leave a big sticky mess. It also doesn't leave a think cream to clean off on the next nappy change so baby is more comfortable at nappy changes.
There is nothing i dislike about this product

Overall this is an ideal way to treat and also prevent nappy rash, It's texture is wonderful and smooth and easy to apply. It doesn't cake onto the nappy either which some do. The price is very reasonable considering the quality of the product and it's effectiveness. This is a product that actually works.
I love Bepanthen ointment. It's antibacterial properties mean that it stops the infection that can be caused from nappy rash before it starts. It's very easy to apply without that gluey feel on the skin and it's extremely soothing.
The smell could be more pleasant
