I build shed for a living and I have built just about all the sheds on the market. Here are a few reasons why I recommend you think hard before making your commitment with best sheds.
1. When they give you a price that it will cost for the shed to be built. In most cases disregard this. A lot of shed companies go off a percentage of the kits value usually around the 30%. Best sheds also do this but their sheds are usually 2/3 of the price of others and their shed still required the same amount of work. So when calculating the price, add 50% on
... Read moreto the kit price, than times that by .3 and that will be more accurate. Other builders quote based off a square meter rate and it usually starts around $45 a square meter. 2. Lack of appropriate engineering/knowledge around the construction of sheds. The bright side is, its over compensating their buildings. A 6m span building should never be back to back Cee 250s unless its 6 meters high or in a location that deals with hurricanes on a regular basis. Now this is obviously the better than it being a light building but it overkill. 3. The quality of their materials, their sheeting has never been as good as the larger companies, but its not to bad to be honest, there steel on the other hand at the current time, is a bit of a joke. It has a pushed over effect and over rolled on the inside edges. When Best Sheds first came on the market, their product was the best you could get, but as time goes on it seems like it is consistently going down. 4. Their costumer service. If something is missing, something is wrong, expect to be on your own, or have to battle for the issue to be rectified. When I first started building sheds I recommended customers build Best Sheds, but this has changed due to the above points. In my professional opinion, if you want a good shed for a reasonable price, any Fair Dinkum is the way to go. Fair Dinkum's are franchises so get a couple of quotes, they might come back different for the same shed, followed by Wide Span.
Great price, service and quality
Best Sheds provided by far the best value..by at least 40%...service was excellent and the shed delivered on time with everything needed supplied. I got one of their recommended builders to put up the shed..."WW Constructions" Ben and Ryan from the Nowra/Eurobodalla area and they put the shed up in one day...a 7m x 10.5m...they were awesome and very good value, a great bunch of hard working lads...so if you need a garage put up, these are your guys!

Consultation process was great, ordered an 18m x 15m shed, communication terrific, quality, accurate materials, extremely detailed accurate build instructions, great backup for tech questions. Would, and have, recommended them to others.

Posts and rafters not cut to plans they provided
Ordered and paid for a custom kit shed with engineering plans. The C sections that were delivered are twice the length specified in their plans. No posts and rafters were cut to size and Best Sheds response was that due to OH&S they cannot cut C sections shorter than 3.6m, even though they delivered some C sections that were cut below 3.2m. At no time during the design period (6 months duration) nor prior to accepting my money did best Sheds specify they could not provide the correct length C sections as set out on their own plans. Update: After discussions with fair trading a representative from Best Sheds came out on the 19/12/2019 and cut all C-sections to the size required in the plans. He was very professional, arrived at the designated time and was methodical with his work.

Absco garden shed better then Best Sheds
I purchased a 6x7m double garage for the price and the service was good but after assembling another shed the same design .l'm disappointed in the quality of product and thinking about not assembling my shed . We had to buy a better quality of screws.( a very poor quality product and very disappointed in Best Shed product )

Can't fault the service. But it's what they don't tell you. Yes, the initial cost is less for the shed itself, but had to pay much more for the cement slab and footings. Construction is like doing a jigsaw without a picture. Most of it you have to guess, and the writing on the paperwork is so small you can't even read it with a magnifying glass. Edited: Do your stock take straight away and be prepared to push if anything is wrong.
The process of getting a quote, getting drawings for council approval and then paying for a shed was easy and quick. Getting all of my parts and some instructions however is another story.
Truck driver was sure that it was 2 full pallets and one mini pallet delivery which was delivered in pitch black and impossible to do a stocktake of parts.

It wasn't until Wednesday after multiple attempts on my behalf that I was notified that the pallet had been delivered to another customer an hour up the road and it would take 2 weeks before they could deliver this through to me. After multiple back and forths this was brought into an extra week when I had urgently stated the Saturday before that the delivery of the pallet needed to be this week. [name removed] the Customer Service Rep I believe did everything she could to try and sort this out as quickly as possible for me which is why I have edited this review and upgraded from one star. Without her, I believe I would have had to wait an additional 2 or 3 weeks so that I fit in to Best Shed's schedule, even though they were at fault. Best Sheds have refused to do anything at their cost to make up for their mistake which is putting my timing on projects fully out, not to mention the wasted money in trades that did not do anything. They will also not cover any of this. My advice would be to have someone onsite with you when the parts are delivered and check it thoroughly unless you are qualified or confident to do it yourself.Find out how Best Sheds compares to other Shed Shops

Great service, great product
Couldn’t be happier with both the sales team and delivery guys. The sales person I spoke to over the phone was very helpful with designing my shed and was always willing to answer my questions. My shed was delivered at exactly the time it was organised to, and the whole kit arrived all packed up neatly so it was easy for the builder to find everything and get it built quickly. Service as promised
Not too sure how accurate some of these other reviews are but from our experience everything was explained to us from the start . Was advised of builders list that has some ball park figures on there and best to contact them for firm pricing if we wish to use them, we did and were happy . Paid $500 for plans first to get our approval and was advised we can change size etc if knocked back . This was true as we had to make several changes including size and there was no extra cost and no complaining from our sales rep . After approval we paid ou

Deposit paid without results
In good faith paid deposit after information stating they have builders all ove QLD that would take care of permits and erection
After verbal quote sent written estimates to same truth was they don't have people everywhere and now erection cost was to be doubled plus appon receipt of deposit was a bid to receive money only nothing had been done and they don't get the order into the works untill it's paid in full how can we pay out thousands on the premise that council will approve but that's not nessesary the case then your out your deposit and your pay out figure with very little chance of return

Best Price by Far, fantastic service
Received my quotes far faster than local companies, and far cheaper!
The lady I dealt with was professional and prompt and helped me design the shed I had in mind as I had difficulty expressing what I wanted.
Delivery occurred on the date that was promised, and all the components were supplied as promised.
Not being an experienced builder I did call them a few times to clarify the build process, the answers were spot on.
Overall a smooth experience I would recommend.

Crap customer service
Worst customer service. Terms and conditions on their 'promotions' are rubbish; ambiguous and misleading! You'd get better customer service out of a rock. Here's hoping the shed is of better quality than the customer service provided. 0 stars!!!!!!

Imported Crap
I knew they were cheaper but i didn't know the steel was imported till my sheds colour started to flake and fade. Might be made in Australia, but ask where the steel comes from. Can't believe Wally is the face of this product.

Receptionist seemed confused.....
Stopped before we started. Person I spoke to over the phone couldnt even tell me where their locations were?? I asked her to tell me locations in the Northern Rivers, and she said they have a list of suppliers; so I asked who was the closest to me.......she couldnt tell me! Think I'll find a company a little more 'together' to spend my money with.

Not a build it yourself shed
i ordered the shed in august to be delivered in November,due to council regulations we had to move the double doors from the side to the end,rang sales a week after we put the order in knowing that it might be too late and explained the situation to them and asked if it was too late to change the plans,was told it would be OK and they would reorder seeing the shed was not required before mid November and they emailed the new plans the next day.when the shed arrived we started to assemble it and found that they had supplied the kit for the first

Read more shed with side doors.by buying 2 C sections we were able to convert the doors to fit the end of the shed,but we were missing the flashing that goes between the two doors,rang sales and asked them to supply flashing (approx cost$30)they imformed us that they could not supply the flashing because it is not part of the kit we ordered(,two doors on side)explained to them that the order was changed and the change was approved and thats why they sent us the plans for the doors to go on the end.Sales informed us that they could not change the order and thats why we were given the first kit.asked why we were not informed about the turnaround and was told that we were.suggest that you record all conversations with sales and get written confirmation of these conversation,because if something is not right with the kit,don't expect any backup from sales because they will deny everything and give you nothing.Very bad memories.Regarding the construction of the shed i fully agree with BM1 Beaufort, they plans are terrible, theres no way you can follow the building plans they supply,on many occasions we had to improvise to make the plan work.if you have no experience in construction i urge you to hire a experience builder to carry out the job.Summing up, the shed is up 6x9mtrs) and looks ok .but the big question Will the steel stand the test of time?? Best Price in the market for a superb shed - Great service
I was hesitant in purchasing a shed which was the cheapest shed out of 3 quotes we received being from the market leaders Titan, Wide Span etc. I have had my shed for 6 months and could not be happier. Queensland staff are the most helpful bunch who have help myself and now my neighbours getting the shed they want and not being ripped off with high prices from other companies. I would recommended speaking with Jonathan or Lauren in the Queensland office as they know how to help.
Very Happy with the End Result
Obviously was a bit nervous making such a big purchase without having seen the product myself, I was very happy with my best shed. They customer service people were great in helping supply additional information i required to get my Permit organised, and including the $700 delivery fee, the shed was about half the price I could get it anywhere locally. It arrived undamaged, and the guy unloading it made an effort to get it close to where i was building it and minimize the damage to my lawn. Also happily surprised with the Fasteners provided, they were brand name and there were plenty to do the job. I assembled the shed 12 months ago and love it.
Is it safe to have a water supply off the roof of your sheds?
If the steel is coated in south korea, how does that affect the water runoff over a period of time? The shed will be one of our main sources of drinking water. What is it coated with and is it safe to use for drinking water?

I bought based on cost and on reviews, even though the company was interstate.
Delivery guy was very helpful, got it exactly where I wanted on the block.
The 'certified engineering plans' were pathetic. I have spent 15+ years in construction and the person that drew them has either never built anything themselves, could care less about their work or both. It showed steel sections that are not used, a gutter on the high point of a skillion roof etc. etc. It all pointed to spend as little time (expense) on it as you can possibly manage.
... Read moreThe instructions are also really substandard, if I did not have a background in construction I wouldn't have a hope. No instructions for skillions and lean-tos, only pitched roof, so you are on your own. They allow for only a 20mm overhang of your slab of wall sheeting, less than an inch! Again, it points to scrimp and save to the bone, regardless of the practicality. When I came to build, parts were missing, roller door instructions none existant, even though they are referenced in their own instructions. What the engineer specified and what was delivered were two different things, specifically steel sections. As mine was a main skillion building with a lean to I built the main shed first. Once I realised parts were missing, I contacted them.

No problems at any stage - garage is now four years old. I have recommended Best Sheds to several friends who are also very pleased with quality and value.

We bought a 9 x 17.5 x 3 high workshop shed form Best Sheds.
Could not be happier with whole transaction with these guys.
All parts there, no damage or scratches to paint work.
I would deal with these guys again.

Terrible product! Do not buy! We bought a carport to use as an awning and the supposedly galvanised posts have rusted only a couple months in and now we have to replace. Company won’t take responsibility and have been a nightmare to deal with and now we have to spend a lot more to replace!! Absolute joke of a product and company!!

Great Shed, Great service
We ordered this shed from Aaron at Best shed's after obtaining other quotes which were dearer. The shed arrived neatly packaged in order of what to erect first. Two of us followed the instructions carefully and while we scratched our heads a few times our first attempt at doing this was very successful.
I had to contact Aaron a few times during construction who was very helpful is assisting us with anything else we required.

I bought a triple car garage, 9m X 10.5m from Best Sheds in Oct 2017. I looked at several different brands of sheds and decided that Best Sheds had a very good product at an unbeatable price. The shed was delivered on time and was well packaged with no damage.
Originally I was going to install the shed myself, but quickly realised that it was beyond my capabilities, so I got David and Michael from The Shed Proffesional from Yass to install it. They put it up in three days and did a brilliant job, well worth the extra costs. There was a one missing ridge cap, but I called Best Sheds and they had it delivered to me the following day, awesome service.
The shed is solid and looks great, very happy.

This size shed took 5 people to actually stand and connect the sides,roof etc but a great finished product.
