Unclear instructions and poor after sales service
After spending $2500 on this oven I have had nothing but problems using the multifunction options. Either overcooking or undercooking - so in despair I called the Bosch service line - what a mistake! They not only made me feel totally useless - with one lady inferring that maybe the problem was with me, not the oven and another lady telling me that she didnt follow the instructions provided either and thought that 'maybe europeans like their meat cooked differently'!! I am sure that they dont like a burnt roast. Basically the advice was trial and error and I would need to work it out myself. Very dissapointed :-(

Excellent cooking but poor stainless steel finish
While Bosch appliances work well, beware of the stainless steel finish. We purchased PCH615FAU gas hotplates, HBN43M551Adouble oven, HMT9656AU microwave and DHI635KAU range hood which are only 3 years old. The hotplates discoloured within the first 6 months and Bosch replaced the top skin, which is fine. However the microwave surround and oven doors are now discolouring. h is fine. I only clean appliances with soapy water or an Enjo cloth. For the price paid we are disappointed for the poor quality of the finish. I also found out that the products are made in different counties i.e. Turkey, France and UK which, I would assume, have different quality controls. Contact Bosch and they are sending out a cleaning product to see if that restores the stainless steel finish. Will wait and see. 3 stars given based on poor quality of stainless steel and less than intuitive operation. Excellent cooking. Easy to clean. Love being able to take off doors easily. Discolouration of stainless steel after only 3 years. Programs can be difficult as manual is sometimes written incorrectly and controls are not really user friendly.1 comment

The Bosch Double Oven is wonderful
I have owned the Bosch Double Oven for 9 months and have used it on a regular basis.
Not only does it look good, but more importantly it's very reliable and the oven temperature is accurate. I checked both ovens with an oven temperature.
I use both the top and bottom ovens depending on whether I am reheating - in which case I use the smaller top oven. I tend to do most of my baking of cakes, pavlova, biscuits etc. in the larger bottom oven.

The Hillmark Steel Power stainless steel cleaner that Bosch sent me did the job. Just remember to apply with the grain of the stainless steel.
