I have recently bought a Rotak 32R.
I have cut the grass however half way through the cut it has stopped picking up.
The power to the lawn mower is fine, the blade is set at the correct height as it has cut half of the garden.
I find on occasions that I cannot start or restart my mower until I withdraw and frimly plant the battery back in place. I suspect it’s some problem associated with the “dead-man’s” push control at the centre-handle position. I have also seen that when grass cutting using the left-side push control, the handle position advances beyond the normal on position and the motor stops. Then by proceeding with the usual centre plus one of the end-of-handle controls, the motor resumes.
Hi Edward, if you think the problem lies in the deadmans handle this is only a simple mechanism operating a replaceable push switch. Just undo the screws on the handle assembly to inspect the mechanic...
Read moreal parts, but do check the switch. For continuity when pressed as this was replaced by a service centre unnecessarily and not the source of the problem. The intermittent stopping and failure to restart was difficult to solve but I believe is associated with the motor itself. The control head, a resin cast block of electronics has 3 sensors that protrude into the motor housing to detect the rotation of the motor. If there is an issue with these or the electronics the motor will not start. Leaving the mower for a while may allow failing capacitors to recover. The white plug from the electronic block to the motor is a poor fit and if this works loose will cause the motor to stop but doesn't account for it restarting after a while. Another source may be down to a thermal cutout operating in the motor which would reset after the motor cools down. The other source of the issue may be down to the battery not making good contact due to the mechanical vibration from mowing. Beware of taking it to a service centre as they may simply replace the handle switch and charge a lot! If you feel confident and the mower is out of warranty have a look yourself at the various components outlined above. Regards adrian.Hi Edward,

I have been trying to replace the blade but the whole mechanism keeps going round when i loosen the nut even though i clamp the bald in a fixed position. Can you assist?
Deflector seems to have lost spring action?? what can be the reason?how to fix it??
Hi. not really sure which part you mean, but if its the grass deflector plate at the back that has to be lifted to clip in the grass collection box. then the spring on this part needs re-seating in t...

Is this lawnmower made in Germany?
Mower will sometimes not start or stops during use. On/off switch replaced by repair shop....no need... switch was good. Battery in good condition and charging successfully and making good contact. Strongly suspect the heavy duty flat connector to the motor under the electronics module, but seem seated firmly. Base of electronics module has 3 motor rotation detect sensors... are these functioning properly? Relay in electronic module can be heard to click but again is it actually switching power to the motor? The electronic module would be too costly to replace just to see... and the motor is a special phase rotation field winding with no brush gear so difficult to test. Has anyone else found further information on what appears to be quit a common problem? Thank you
Hi there, I have the same problem with mine - I have just received it back from the Bosch repair centre and used it today. I was able to start it and mow for a couple of minutes but when I tried to re...

Read moreling out onto the grass at one stage so I think the locking mechanism inside the machine has perished or worn so that the battery cannot connect to it securely. My mower has cut out a lot in the past and I have had to relock it and this usually keeps the mower working for a good while after I do this. I think the connection isn't strong enough to begin with and vibrations from the mower can loosen it. However it's not holding now at all. Luckily I had some black sticky extra tough ultra tape and stuffed some strips against the front of the battery in its holder. Managed to get job completed without battery cutting out again. So the problem is a bad connection inside the machine which will probably cost a lot to fix... looks like the sticky tape routine will have to suffice until I can get a reasonable repair quote from a local dealer...if there is one in my area.Yes looks like a rotation censor problem mine works fine with out the blade put the blade on starts stops just wondered if any one has got to the bottom of the problem could the sensors be disconnecte...

Hi
I have a Bosch Rotak 43Li and it starts OK by pressing the red handle switches, but suddenly I can’t switch the mower off by depressing in the same manner. The connections in the switch seem OK, what else could be wrong?

Battery is stuck and will not release. Tried numerous times clicking it back in and pressing hard on the release button but it will not budge. Please advise?
Give a bit of wd 40 and force the batteri longer in a few times. Suddenly it will release. Mine had the same problem because of grass left in the bottom of the battery room
Where I can buy with battery and charge?
Thanks.
Maria
What is the blade speed in rpm Bosch 370 li euroflex?
Hello, the mower kept stopping and starting, so I thought the starter motor switch in the handle was at fault. I have replaced with a new one, it still has the same problem. I then removed the cover checked all the wires were in place and cleaned everything in site, so no more debris inside. All replaced and it still has the same problem. Could it be the plastic switches inside the handle under the starter switch not doing their job. If so can they be replaced ? Or could it be the something else? The alternative is giving Bosch 150 pounds to fix it. Ouch. Many Thanks for any help out there. M
Try looking for dirt in the bottom of the batteri room. If the batteri thereafter is a bit loose, put a small woden wedge under it, from outside, so it is proper fastened during work.

My battery is fully charged. The motor starts ok but cuts out seconds after moving along the lawn. Any help?

Check to see if the batteries are showing any kind of swelling. I’ve got two of these mowers (got one for mum) both with two batteries and the triangular chargers and had them a number of years and bo...
Read moreth have had this issue. Seems the chargers go faulty and can damage the batteries, or the batteries age and damage the charger as we’ve both had new chargers and batteries. They appear charged but are not holding sufficient voltage I suspect and on closer inspection they have swollen through over-charging it trying to get the voltage high enough I assume. Whether the batteries caused the charger to fail or vice versa I don’t know but neither original charger nor batteries fixed the issue alone, I had to change the lot. If the battery looks swollen like mine did that could be the same issue for you. You can tell by looking at the parallel lines on the battery or even some minor splits in the casing. Ps my second lot of batteries are now looking like they’re going the same way now, same symptoms but not yet showing swelling in the casing. That's great thanks very much. Will.have a look and check them out. Much appreciated, rich
I purchased my Rotak 37 LI in 2010. The blade has bend rendering the mower useless. Are 37 LI blades interchangeable between older and newer models?
