What does error code F18 mean and what should I do when this happens? Please help. Thanks.

Well, according to my instruction manual, which came with the machine, F18 means you need to clean the detergent solution pump. To do this you will need to refer to the Bosch Washing Machine Operating Instructions manual (pages 9 - 10).
F18 means clean the detergent solution pump. Unfortunately my machine repeatedly brought up this error and there was never anything in the pump to clean out. The pump needed to be replaced and now all is fine. Machine was only 2 years old and does not get heavy use. Not a very good advert for Bosch.

When F:18 error code comes up on the display panel, it means that the outlet pipe/drainage hose is blocked and needs to be cleaned. Detailed information can be found on page 10 of the Operating Instructions that come with washing machine.

If the washing machine is showing F:16 on the display panel, it means to check the door of the washing machine as it may not have been closed properly. For example, washing may be caught in the door.
