I have got rid of 30 year old sound system (tuner, tape deck, CD, turntable) and moved CDs to my study (3mx3m) and am looking for something to play CDs in study sometimes but mostly in other room (s) or outside or in garage. Also gradually putting CDs into laptop and on stick. Is Bose Wave SoundTouch IV suitable? I expect I will need a separate speaker for use away from the study. Not fanatical about sound. Reasonable quality will do. Which speaker? Am I looking at the right product or is there a cheaper or other option? Jack

I have a bose Wave system in my lounge and 2 Soundtouch 10 speakers elsewhere in my home.
They all sync fine to play the same music.
can I play different tracks through each individual speaker ?
ie: Internet radio on 1, Pandora on another speaker, Cd tracks on 3rd speaker? All at the same time.
Also, how do I connect to my TV for better sound?
I have tried the headphone plug and the RCA plugs with no success.

Yes I am 70 years of age myself,and in the words of the wise "Ain't this technology wonderful". The best answer I can offer tho' it might be painful is to sit down with manual if you have downloaded from net,and work your way through it. I remember when you purchased anything "HiFi or just Stereo" you would unpack from box plug it in and just adjust balance controls and play away. hahaha Those days seemed so easy,to try and give directions here would be worse than struggling with manual.
