Excellent, easy glide, steam plus!
Excellent general purpose steam iron with a decent price tag.
I am very happy with this purchase.
Medium weight, glides smoothly along fabric.
Vertically steam clothing on hanger and curtains.
At 2000 Watts, if you want heavy duty iron for linen etc get the 2400 Watts Braun TexStyle 7 or 9.
I bought directly from Braun at a budget price.
Made in Hungary.
Purchased in March 2021.

Works well, although takes a long time to heat up.
We like our iron.
It does drip a bit to begin with and takes a while to heat up which is a shame.
But apart from that, when it gets going it works efficiently.
It has a good sized water tank. The design is sleek a stylish and has a good weight to it.
Stores neatly and cools relatively quickly.

Brilliant Braun iron
Real quality iron from Braun. As soon as I unboxed it I could feel it was heavier and better quality than your average one. It's got a special anodized coating on the soleplate that's extremely slippery and makes the effort pretty easy ironing. Its also got other little touches that I appreciate such a s a swivelling cord and auto off. all
round good quality Typical Germans!

Light weight, Works Great.
Got it as a temp replacement for our steam station that stopped working. Was a bargain from Amazon AU sale.
Heats quickly, steams ok, works well on cotton and silk, light weight. Cord is long enough. Temperature control is quick to respond.
Having used steam stations before, I would still go back to the larger Steam Stations and keep this as a backup. But for most people, this is an excellent iron. Highly recommended.

Excellent value
Purchased this iron during the mother's day promotion, and after the cashback it is extremely good value.
It heats up quickly, as a fair few functions available, and is quite easy to use which makes ironing clothes quick and simple, and it doesn't leak as compared to other cheap irons.

To Each His Iron
The best iron is the one that matches a user's requirements. This is an excellent 2000W steam iron. It heats up quickly. The temperature control is accurate. It has an auto shut off mechanism. But it is not for everyone.
I find it suitable for my load consisting mostly (90%) of school uniforms, business shirts and office pants. It is light, it glides smoothly, and can be swished about to and fro quickly. Wrinkles disappear in one or two strokes. The narrow tip makes me reach small areas fast. Heat is limited to the plate and the clothes bei...Read more
ng ironed and does not spread to the surrounding areas. Other irons made me feel warm and tired within half an hour of using them, but not this one. The steam output is low, which means less frequent refilling and less interruptions in ironing. Mistakes are very easy to retract, and pleats come out sharp with minimum repetition. My ironing time has been reduced considerably. But this model requires help with denim and linen. I have to either iron the fabrics while still damp or spray the fabrics with water to improve the capacity of the iron to remove the wrinkles. I think that with its low wattage, its steam output is insufficient for denim and linen. But low wattage (2000W) is important for me as I have to work within the capacity of our circuit. Also, I could live with this model's disadvantage because there are only a few (10%) denim and linen clothes in my basket. Still with adjustment, with denim and linen already damp to begin with, ironing is a breeze and I am able to achieve the quality that I want. For me, this iron works like a magic wand with school uniforms, business shirts and office pants. But while this low-powered model would still achieve good results with denim and linen, those working on mostly denim and linen might find other models more suitable.Similar opinion? Good product. Can be better
I've been using the product for almost 6 months now. The iron heats up fast, steam release is good, no leakages and no dark marks on the hot plate (big plus). However, due to constant refill, takes ages to complete a pile of clothes. Will recommend for daily usage and top quality.

Bit Dissappointing
Yuk. Another water leak stain. Time to update the iron. After reviewing Choice we decided we'd give the Braun Texstyle a whirl, since it was considerably cheaper that the Sunbeam it was replacing.
It does everything really except remove the wrinkles. Compared to the old Sunbeam it had nothing.
Yes, heated up quickly, was light, sole plate glided well, but ironing cotton shirts or jeans, it's not up to the job. Shot of steam almost produced godd result, but who wants to shot all day when ironing? The tell tale is maybe that it using little water compared to others.
Yes, disappointing.

Best iron I've ever used
After I junked my Philips Azure Performer Plus after only three months of use. I needed to find a replacement and fast as the clothes were piling up and I was on a budget after blowing $100+ on a useless iron. I received a 20% off offer from Target's eBay store and I decided to purchase a Braun iron for about $60. I was skeptical since Braun is not a household name in the iron market but I liked the design and features for the price, so why not, I thought.
The iron is light but not too light which is good for pressing down to get rid of stub...Read more
born wrinkles. The handle is open at the back so no worries for those with big hands. It is really easy to fill and does not leak even when I swing the iron around like a madman, that's how I iron, fast and furious. The sole plate is based on their Saphir technology and is supposedly four times harder than stainless steel. I'm not a metallurgist, so I wouldn't have a clue. All I know is that the sole plate is super smooth and has no trouble gliding over any material I have used it on. The sole plate is in excellent condition after some extensive use in the past few weeks. I smashed the sole plate over buttons and small steel hooks, I know I'm not supposed to, but I'm in a rush when I'm ironing and not even a scratch on the sole plate, not a single mark. This Saphir sole plate must be harder than stainless steel. The iron produces a good amount of steam and the power shot button is easy to use and generates a good shot of steam. It easily heats up even when sitting untouched for awhile and removes wrinkles fast with an economic use of steam. I used to have to fill the water tank 2-3 time per ironing session, now I fill the tank 1-2 times max. The iron also includes an anti-calc and anti-drip system. The anti-drip actually works, unlike my last two irons.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

why some times spill water from steam holes?
2 answers
Hi Hassan,
Mine has never dripped water from the steam holes. Almost all modern steam irons have some form of anti-drip technology built into them.
There are 2 main reason for dripping water (i.e. the anti-drip function is not working):
- The unit is defective so you will need to get a replacement, or
- The most common reason, you are trying to use the steam function on too low of a heat setting.
To avoid dripping water from the steam vent the temperature should be set at around the cotton level or near the highest level. If the temperature is too low then water and steam will occur and this happens with all steam irons.
I hope that answers your question.
Ours hasn't dripped yet. We make sure to fill it upto the water mark and also to keep it in standing position when not in use.
If yours is still in warranty, maybe try getting it replaced.
