Thanks for the question, I replaced mine with another Breville spice grinder. However the blades are not removable.

Will it grind nuts?

I've not grinded nuts, however I've used it for dry roasted spices such as cinnamon sticks, cardamom seeds etc, which are very hard. It ground them very fine with no hard bits. It's the best grinder I've had, would buy another. Hope this helps. Pete
