I love that this toaster cooks evenly and thanks to settings is able to do so for fruit toast crumpets etc.
I have never had a problem with toast getting stuck.
Purchased at Harvey Norman Retail Stores.

Good quality toaster but not convinced that it's worth spending so much to get all the bells and whistles. A simpler and cheaper toaster will toast just the same as long as you are prepared to learn the settings, which you have to do with this one anyway. I have used this many times over the three weeks I have had it and tested it with bread, bagels, crumpets/raisin loaf and English muffins.
For me, the most valuable option has been the crumpet/fruit bread button which toasts less on one side than the other. Works well with bagels and Engl...

I was looking for a basic toaster as I didn't see the point in all the extra settings. I bought this one in the end partly because there was a special on it but also because I liked that the slots were wider to accommodate thicker slices of bread. I still haven't used most of the settings has but the Lift and Look function is pretty handy.

This toaster replaced an old Dulit, it is far superior in everyway,
the lift a look the a little bit more and the frozen buttons are all brilliant and work very well.
Nothing like the led display and knowing when your toast is going to pop its a great toaster.

Absolutely love this toaster. Having a family that eats toast and crumpets we've found this to be an excellent toaster. White in colour looks great in our kitchen and the functions (eg. "a bit more") are wonderful. Crumb trays are easy to use and the 4-slice capacity allows numerous people to toast at one time. Only slight negative is being careful not to put very thin slices of bread onto the leaver as it can slip down the side into the base and is almost impossible to remove but this is a human error.

Like a previous reviewer my Breville Smart Toast 4 slice toaster only toasted one side of the bread, in all four slots. I returned it and the second did the same. Hoping it was a batch problem I went to a different store for my third attempt. This time it worked fine.

Bought this to replace a fancy looking (but pretty average performing) delonghi I wasn't wanting to spend as much but got it for a good price so I took the plunge (good guys $149). This toaster actually has some pretty good features, the motorised bread lifts work great, the crumpet setting gives perfect crumpets and the fruit bread setting actually does really nice raisin toast too. It also has a setting for toasting frozen bread that is really useful and works as advertised. It gives a nice even toasting and the crumb trays slide out easily f...
Read moreor cleaning. I cannot comment on the durability or reliability as I've only had it a week (late April 2016) but it seems sturdy and solid. I'm a bit worried about some of the reviews that state that the elements develop uneven power over time so I will keep an eye on it but so far so good. At some advertised prices ($200+) I wouldn't think this toaster offers enough over a regular toaster but at the price I paid it was only $20-30 more then far more basic devices and I'd rate it as really good value in those circumstances. The good
- toasts bread evenly
- love the ability to use two different toast settings at the same time (to cater for different tastes)
- 'lift & look' and 'little bit more' options both come in handy
- crumb tray is easy to remove and replace
- toaster makes a happy little beep when the toast is done
- we got the 'cranberry' finish - nice and cheery
The 'meh'
- I think the ordinary toast setting does a much better job on crumpets & fruit bread than the actual special crumpets/fruit-bread setting. If toasting the perfect crumpet is important to you, this might not be the toaster for you

Questions & Answers
My Breville toaster on one side all lights are flashing. Toaster is in closed position and will not cancel.
All lights flashing and toast will not lift
How to remove outer casing? Have already removed 10 screws but no go.
Bread is burning one side and other side only warm. All 4 slots the same you might expect it on a $20 toaster but not a $200 one wish I read reviews before buying it 4 years ago.
Here is a you tube link showing how to remove the outer casing.
