Burnt edges, uncooked middle
This toaster consistently burns the edges whilst the centre remains uncooked. Lift and look feature great, but fails the basic test of toasting bread evenly. Definitely not worth the price.
Purchased in January 2021.

Get a different toaster!!
This toaster consistently either burns the toast on one side or underdoes it on the other, regardless of the setting. It's impossible to get even-sided toasting with any sort of bread. At $60 or whatever, it's a complete waste of money. Our last ($15 K Mart) toaster was far superior. Our other Breville products are excellent, so I don't know how they can be selling this dud. Ours is now in the bin.
Purchased in January 2021 at JB Hifi Home for A$60.00.

As good as it gets
I have been on the hunt for an inexpensive toaster to replace the fantastic dirt cheap plastic toaster that died after 5+ years. I got this on special despite the rather mixed reviews as this seemed the best of the lot for sub-$100 toasters.
After 2 months, I am thinking that this is as good as it gets.
The pluses:
- it feels sturdier than plastic toasters, though the mechanism sounds loud and clang-y or in other words cheap.
- the wide and long slots take a variety of breads.
- the lift and look feature to check on done-ness.
- the bit more button for 30 sec extra toasting time when your toast is too light.
- the high lift feature to help removal of toast....Read more
- frozen bread button for extra time without having to adjust the darkness level. - unlike the toasters of some reviewers, mine seem to do an OK job in toasting both sides of the bread. The minuses: - the stainless steel sides mark extremely easily and makes it look dirty. - as other reviewers have mentioned, the design of the crumb tray is lacking and does a very poor job. - can be a little difficult finding the ideal toasting time ie over or under done. I set set it for a little under and use the bit more button.
Purchased in August 2021 at Myer for A$44.00.

Disappointed in this toaster
My experience with this toaster isn't good. It only browns the toast on one side so I have to turn it over and do the other side. Also, often the bread doesn't pop up, it justs goes up halfway and stays there until I raise the bar to bring it up. First world problems but not what I was expecting from a good brand.
Purchased in December 2021 at The Good Guys for A$42.00.

Great Toaster
After moving interstate into a rental we needed a reliable toaster until our belongings are moved later in the year. I have had Breville in the past and been disappointed with the browning. However this toaster was on special and decided I would just go with it, it has not disappointed, in fact it is the best toaster I have had by far.

Get the perfect toast every time
I have been using this toaster for a few days now and I am happy with the additional features this toaster has. If your toast is still white you can get an extra 30 seconds of time with a press of a button, rather than having to hover around the toaster monitoring your bread. The slots are also quite large which allows breads of different sizes and thickness to fit in. Another feature is a button for frozen (single press) and fruit bread with a (double press) of the button this saves you time having to adjust the settings. Overall a great branded toaster worth considering if you’re interested in the features.

Good even toasting on all sides of bread
Hated my old expensive toaster's uneven toasting so bought the Breville the Bit More Plus BTA435 from Harvey Norman. After adjusting the cooking dial to 5 for wholemeal bread I found it an inexpensive gem. Although slower than my previous toaster it is easy to use and delivers good even toast without drying out the bread. Easy breadcrumb dispenser as well.

Simple and Practical Toaster
I bought the 2 slice version for around $55 from the Good Guys. Use it on a regular basis and love it. Simple and practical toaster that does it's job and love the bit more button as it give the toast around 30 secs more. Crumbs do get caught in the middle, but it is easy to shake it out.

A quick toaster.
I bought the 2 slice version for around $76 from Briscoes. It seems to work fine with quick toasting times. I quite like the bit more button which gives the toast another 1/2 minute or so. To get a reasonable colouring the dial needs to set quite high. Has cord tidy and a crumb tray. All in all a good toaster and I am happy with it.

Nice and even toasting for 2 slices of bread.
We really like this toaster. It toasts 2 slices of bread evenly. However when toasting 1 slice it seems to cook it a lot more on one side then the other. That doesn't bother us too much as we mostly toast 2 slices anyway. The bit more function was good at the start of use, as it helped with determining what setting I should use to get it looking the way I liked. After that I haven't used it because I have found my ideal setting. I have to pick up the toaster itself from the sides as it shows up fingerprints on the middle bit. Overall, we are really liking our new toaster.

Good toaster
Bought this toaster to replace a Sunbeam Cafe 4 slice after one of the knobs fell off. It seems like a good toaster so far. The thing I like is that it is faster than the Sunbeam 4 slice toaster - possibly due to electrical current limitations in the four slice toaster. This means the bread doesn't dry out as much.

We just bought this toaster for the fact that other kitchen appiances are of the same brand and function properly. Howeever, this toaster doesn't seem to brown evenly, specifically, the center elements hardly heat up to get an evenly browned slice of toast. As per some of the above reviews, this seems to be a common issue with this toaster. Any recommendations?
