just meh!
I bought a rx8 which had these on it, very noisy tyre on nz roads anyway, dry grip is ok if it under steers just pop the clutch. Wet performance is terrible. Was passing a car in drizzle and tried to step out on me. Only doing around 90kph, gas mileage, hmm I traveled 200km and used around 20ltrs for a rotary that's not bad @ around 27mpg. Conclusion, spend a bit extra and get some decent tyres.

gutter allergy
First day driving a new car with these tyres. In a tight alley I pressed against a gutter & tyre is gone. Pretty poor and never had this experience before. How is it possible with today's technology to make something so weak & averse to what isn't that unusual (touching a gutter)

Mileage fine, handling is awful 2016 Mazda 3
I own a great handling car, a 2016 Mazda 3 GS. Thanks, however, to the choice of Ecopias as the OEM tire (to help with their mileage numbers) the handling is nothing like the suspension is capable of. Dramatic understeer on dry pavement and almost dangerous understeer cornering in the wet.
If you're only looking for low speed tires or freeways with no corners...or you don't care how your car handles in anything like aggressive driving...stay away.

Great tyres for the price.
Quite a smooth ride on my 2004 Honda CRV now. I've done around 7k so far and they still look quite new. I replaced my old worn out Bridgstone Duellers with these. These stick in the wet and are very quiet on the highway. Very happy so far. I do mainly city driving and the occasional long road trips, and they handle beautifully. My front and rear alignments were out quite a bit before I had these fitted, so it drives like a new car now.

So Far, So Good -- Actually Improve Fuel Economy
These tyres feel different to anything else I've even driven on. I can't explain it -- and it's certainly not a bad thing -- but it was noticeable immediately upon backing out of the car park at Bob Jane. They seem to handle fine. The best part is that they've actually lived up to their claim to improve fuel economy. I always keep track of how many kilometres I get out of each fill-up, and since I got these tyres about four weeks ago, I've experienced nearly 5% improvement. I had assumed this was just hype, but it appears to be real.

don't hit a gutter
Just hit a gutter and my brand new ecopia blew up, must have a very thin side wall! Cost a lot of money for something that can not handle a touch of a side wall. I was happy with the tyre until today, now I am outraged and can't afford a new tyre.

Just bought them. So far so good
I really started writing this review I response to the above lady who gave a bad review because these may not stop in time when you slam on the brakes at a kids crossing. Well this comment alone firstly shows this lady has no road sense and a lunatic. Why you would need to slam the brakes in kid zone is outright ridiculous. Shouldn't you be doing 40. How in the world would you need to slam on the brakes when you should be doing a safe speed where a slight pressure of the brake wouldn't stop you. They introduced speed limiters in cars for idiots...Read more
like yourself. An all purpose tyre is exactly that and if you feel the need for a high speed rated tyre please stay away from any suburban streets. You may have been quite caring when you made your comments, and I apologise if this offends you, but I need to give you my take on it just like you did. By the way, I really enjoyed the first ride home on my Bridgestone Ecopia EP100.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Nb. Great Passenger Tyre
This tyre is fitted to my vs Berlina s/w in 205/65/15 and are the 4th set of tyres I have had on this car. I also have an xf ute with Ghia mags and 205/65/15 tyres. So I have been through 8 different types of tyres in this size. I have had goodyear, dunlop, older bridgestone, maxxi map 1, yokohama a.Drive, hyfly hf201, hankook k406 and now these eco 100. So far overall these are better than all the rest imo. My ute still has Yokohama a.Drive. The last set of tyres I had on my wagon where the hankook k406. I loved these tyres and also had them o...Read more
n my ute. They where very quite with great wet/dry grip. The hankook are great tyres but are a decade older in technology then the eco 100. The difference between the two are that the eco 100 have slightly better to very little difference in wet/dry grip performance. The eco 100 are a more quite tyre, and there rolling ability is outstanding; which leads to better fuel economy. I will buy these for my ute when buy 3 get 4 is available again as I did for my wagon. $315 balanced and fitted. Great for tyres made in Japan and not China. I do not have the soft side wall issue that some people have said but the opposite. These tyres feel very firm and steer like a billy cart on rails. I am in my 50s and drive at the speed limit plus I also run 44psi in these tyres. They do have a more thump noise when you hit rough Melbourne roads, but I think because they are so quite this type of noise is more noticeable. They are also 10mm narrower in the tread than the hankooks and only time will tell how long they lasts. I got 65000km with the hankook k406. I have had to changed the way I drive as the car coasts for alot longer and faster now. But the best comment I got was from my 19-year-old son who said; Dad did you put a new motor in the car, this thing flies now!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A must prius c drivers
Last month I replaced my four old Potenza tires with this EP100 on 2013 Prius C. 185/60R/15. Old tires were noisy. This EP100 is comfortable and queite but my wife can't tell the difference tho. Grip is good too. Fuel saving is amazing. With Potenza I used to get 4.0-4.5l /100km but I now get 3.7- 4.2 l/ 100km ( always Aircon on and with passenger). I set tire pressure 35 psi and I know that if I turn off air con and increase pressure upto 37 I would get 3.5 easy. In Japan, OEM tire size for Prius C is 14 inch not 15 Inch, no wonder people get early 3l/100 km mark in Japan with more later version 14 inch EP series.

Worse tyres in a decade
I drive up to 1200klms each week on high speed single lane country roads and peak hour city traffic. I've had 4 sets of gorgeous Pirellis without complaint but finances forced me into a slightly cheaper budget this year, biggest mistake ever!
These terms perform reasonably at lower speeds. Slam on the brakes in an emergency and they will stop well under 40km/hour.
Give it 80km/hour and hit the brakes hard and the tyres completely let go once the forces exceed their ability to grip the road surface.
This literally is the difference between st...Read more

Very poor tire
Got these fitted to Ford AU Falcon. Straight away I noticed when driving 100kph that I need to move the steering wheel a lot to make small corrections. Secondly I noticed the tires make a lot of noise when turning especially around a roundabout. I don't mean a squealing sound but like a gravel road noise sound. Finally the tread pattern seems to collect a lot of stones. This throws out the wheel balance. Not recommended for Australia conditions. Also no noticable saving in fuel as stated.

Good tyres for everyday driving and they save you fuel.
Bridgestone claim they can save you 5%, after 1300km mine are saving 6.8%. So while it won't change my life, it will save half the cost of the tyres over their life. They grip well and have excellent tracking. I wouldn't recommend them for a hot lap at Bathurst but for everyday driving they are very good and I would recommend them.

Very nice tyres
Previous tyres were Bridgestone ER30 & T001 and I was averaging low 500km per tank. With EP100 (205/65 R15) they have noticeable LRR and producing mid to high 500km (with same tyre pressure)
pros: wet/dry grip, noise and comfort very adequate. Easier to turn car. Excellent price.
cons: LRR require more braking (minor -ve), softer wall feel is a -ve for corners (minor -ve for a leisurely driver like me)

Not again!.
Slightest sidewall rub and they are gone! Slow speed parking curb rub sufficient to stuff the wall. Hitting a rock at speed could be disaster. I took them off my Falcon Wagon.Great for low rolling resistance, but not worth the risk.I am fond of my family.Bridgestone were nice and gave me a discount on a more robust tyre.

Excellent Quality tyre, Quite ride - with noticeable low rolling resistance.
Extremely impressed with this quality made in Japanese tyre for the price.
As others have said - most impressed how quite on many road surfaces,
Noticeable lower resistance by speedo - not just feel, so this is true.
Grip for every day use - goes great on highway / freeway use, running 36psi and only side effect little less directional steering then previous noisier tyres.
Best everyday tyres I've seen for a very long time and should last by others account.

Grippy & quiet, just don't over-cook the corners.
Fitted a set of these to my 1994 Ford Fairlane (205/65r15) as I wanted a soft & quiet ride & that's exactly what they give. Very minimal road noise on most surfaces, plenty of grip & with the usual rotations & alignments they wear quite well. However, they bring out their soft design if you push them into the corners. They begin to feel vague & squirmy no matter what pressure is in them. Having said that, they don't break traction in wet or dry conditions & it's also important to note that these are touring tyres for town & open road driving, not high performance. In all, a great tyre at a reasonable price for someone who isn't a hoon.

Whats the recommended tyre air pressure
2 answers
I believe each car model has different recommended tyre pressure. For my 2006 Toyota Yaris, the recommended tyre pressure is 32 psi back and front. However, from experience, I personally wouldn't go below 34 psi to maximise the tyres' life. 32 psi will give you soft and comfy riding but at the cost of your tyres shoulder. My new tyres are now at 38 psi as recommended by Bridgestone Tyre Centre and so far the riding has been good. Check your car's manual for the recommended presure. My believe is somewhere between 32 - 40 psi. Try to experiment between that range to find the best balance for your car.
According to Jarod Bianti, he said: I haven't yet had a vehicle that I don't run the same pressure in the front and rear. Not to say that all vehicles are that way, but I would safely assume that most are (as another answer mentions — 50/50 weight distribution).
Regarding a few tyre post: https://www.bestnetreview.com/best-all-terrain-tire/
Don't rely on the door stamp recommendations. They’re based upon a set temperature (15°C iirc) and static weight of the vehicle with no cargo. ALWAYS rely on the tire itself and even then, ask an experienced tire shop person what they recommend the pressure to be for your type of vehicle and make/model of tire. Every vehicle is different and every tire brand/model is different which leaves tens of thousands of combinations. A good tire shop should know the ideal pressure to run at.
As an example: my Ram has a door sticker saying 65 Psi, but with the stock Goodyear tires, the pressure is best at 40 Psi. But…with my new BFG KO2's, my recommended pressure is 35 Psi.

How do they perform on a Honda CRV?
3 answers
Don't know but don't perform on a Ford Focus
Can't speak for a Honda but it probably depends on how you like to drive it. I have only tried them on a Yaris.
I have them on my 2013 Fiesta. Only done about 4,000k's but they ride better than the Continental's that came with the car and they only gave me about 35,000 k's. (At 145 bucks each, i won't be buying them again.) I've had no problems with the handling and the steering is a lot better. I haven't noticed any braking problems, but the ABS probably takes care of that. Can't really comment on wet roads because i don't drive like a loony.
