Great

published

As soon as I drove with new tyres I noticed how much quieter the drive is. And yes they do roll well, and I feel more of a cruising feeling rather than accelerating continuously. Haven't noticed much difference in turning corners or stopping in the wet compared to previous model tyres (Dunlop sport sp 300), if anything they handle better. Overall pretty happy with them and can't really fault them even tho I rated them 4 stars.

passable

published

fitted to 2004 lancer to replace worn yoko a-drives.
Advantages: Quiet, good deal (four tyres for price of three), comfortable ride, ok in the wet, minute improvement in fuel economy (maybe .1 or .2l per 100km improvement). Disadvantages: a bit soggy in corners (not that this bothers me as I drive like grandma...). So far have covered about 2000km and will report back if I notice any wear issues.

Amazing fuel economy.

published

I replaced my worn out Continentals with 4 Bridgestone Ecopias about three months ago. I was a little skeptical about the claims of fuel economy improvements but I was stunned to find my average distance on a tank improved from about 430 to about 500kms. On one tank which included a country drive I got 548kms. That is more than 40 kms further than I've ever got in ten years with this car. Amazed.

Travel country and city. Have found tyres to wear extremely well. I would certainly buy again. Driver for 30+ years.

Pretty Average

published

Pros are low road noise and smooth ride, good grip in dry conditions.
Cons are some slipping on wet roads, particularly when cornering.
Contrary to expectations, fuel consumption increased by 0.2 L/100 km on these tyres (according to car fuel monitor).

Great deal by bridgestone 4 tyres for price of 3

published

Got 4 brand new bridgestone tyres for price of three which is a pretty good deal. Bought and installed (14 inch tubeless and made in japan on toyota Yaris) at bridgestone tyres shop. Definitely quieter, smoother and less rolling resistance compared to the original Dunlop sp10 tyres. Handles pretty well in wet and dry conditions.

I've got them on my 2005 Nissan Pulsar. Gives me better economy than when I first bought the car.
I reset the odometer on a full tank. I travel 8% to 15% more with these tyres than on my previous tyres

Good quality Japanese Tyre

published

Fitted to BF111 Wagon - 215/60-16 price $145 each made in Japan.
Currently driven 40,000 km and expect to easily get another 20-30 thousand more.
Tyres are still quiet and handle well in dry and wet.
Not as quiet as Goodyear Excellence, but better grip.
There appears to be more tyre roll while heavy cornering rounding off the edges more than on Toyo Teo, NCT5 or Excellence, but higher tyre pressure fixed this.
Tyre does look narrower on the rim than original.
Good balance, currently no need to rebalance after 40,000 km
No balance issues and made in Japan
Tyre roll, but need more pressure to fix

Very pleased so far

published

Bought a set of EP100's in 205/55/16 for an Audi Quattro S2. So far I am very pleased with them. the ride is excellent, very positive feel on the road, quiet, smooth and excellent handling. Too early to report on the economy factor but otherwise very pleased with these. I paid $525 for 4 tyres, so about $139 per tyre.
Great ride and handling.

Quite liked this tyre

published

Put these tyres on a 2005 Toyota Avalon, due to the promise of extra fuel economy.
For my driving, which is about 75% on the Motorway (total about 800km per week)I found the fuel economy to improve about 8%, which I found quite amazing.
On My wife's car, which just runs around town most of the time, there was not a huge improvement - maybe 2-3%.
Performance and handling seemed good, but I don't push things as much as when I was younger. I never felt like I was going to have a loss of grip.
I put about 25000km on these before my car was written off - they didn't appear to have worn excessively.
Increased fuel economy
Tended to wander a little bit on grooved roads - not too badly though. This seemed to settle down a bit as the tyres aged.

Great tyers for price

published

Got these tyres at Kmart auto and tyres at $109 185/65 14, i was the first customer they ever sold these tyres to and they asked me to come back after 5000 km and tell them if am happy with the tyres performance and fuel economy, These tyres do really performance in the wet compared with no brand tyres i had on car they handle a lot better and are quieter on the road plus you get about 35km extra each tank of fuel. Spend the extra $20 and buy a these tyres instead a no name tyre brand.
Great ride and little fuel economy improvement, better bye that cheap tyre brand.

It has now been 10 months since you bought the Bridgestones Mar00, are they performing as expected?
Thanks for any updates as I am considering buying the EP100's.

Whats the recommended tyre air pressure

2 answers
Joe

I believe each car model has different recommended tyre pressure. For my 2006 Toyota Yaris, the recommended tyre pressure is 32 psi back and front. However, from experience, I personally wouldn't go below 34 psi to maximise the tyres' life. 32 psi will give you soft and comfy riding but at the cost of your tyres shoulder. My new tyres are now at 38 psi as recommended by Bridgestone Tyre Centre and so far the riding has been good. Check your car's manual for the recommended presure. My believe is somewhere between 32 - 40 psi. Try to experiment between that range to find the best balance for your car.

Bryan G.
Bryan G.

According to Jarod Bianti, he said: I haven't yet had a vehicle that I don't run the same pressure in the front and rear. Not to say that all vehicles are that way, but I would safely assume that most are (as another answer mentions — 50/50 weight distribution).

Regarding a few tyre post: https://www.bestnetreview.com/best-all-terrain-tire/

Don't rely on the door stamp recommendations. They’re based upon a set temperature (15°C iirc) and static weight of the vehicle with no cargo. ALWAYS rely on the tire itself and even then, ask an experienced tire shop person what they recommend the pressure to be for your type of vehicle and make/model of tire. Every vehicle is different and every tire brand/model is different which leaves tens of thousands of combinations. A good tire shop should know the ideal pressure to run at.

As an example: my Ram has a door sticker saying 65 Psi, but with the stock Goodyear tires, the pressure is best at 40 Psi. But…with my new BFG KO2's, my recommended pressure is 35 Psi.

Can't speak for a Honda but it probably depends on how you like to drive it. I have only tried them on a Yaris.

I have them on my 2013 Fiesta. Only done about 4,000k's but they ride better than the Continental's that came with the car and they only gave me about 35,000 k's. (At 145 bucks each, i won't be buying them again.) I've had no problems with the handling and the steering is a lot better. I haven't noticed any braking problems, but the ABS probably takes care of that. Can't really comment on wet roads because i don't drive like a loony.
