Wonderful practical functional grows with child
We bought this for our very tall thin 5yr old. It was able to be adjusted to suit both his height and weight. Easy installation. Easy to adjust height, side panels and seat. Our son finds it very comfortable. Easy simple process for removal and installation. Would definitely recommend this seat.
Purchased in August 2021 at Baby Bunting Physical store for $259.00.

1 star is too much. Waste of money
We bought this seat for our 4 yr old and find it hard to say something positive about this product. We had it professionally installed, and it was not stable in the slightest. The shell is flimsy and padding practically non existent. Within 15 mins of my child sitting in the seat they were in tears of pain. We went back to the store and adjusted the seat and we tried again. The same pain happened again so back to the store. This time they recommend putting a box under the childs feet to relieve pressure off the lower spine and bottom area where it was causing pain. We tried to do longer trips but without fail 15 mins and they were in tears of pain. Im really disappointed in this product and the company as a whole.
Easy to click child into.

we were told by your company that Nobody else had this issue so theres nothing you can do. So unless that stance has changed because I still need a suitable seat for my child, and I still have a seat that causes my child pain. Then there is no reason for contact. Excellent
Great, easy to use, easy to fit/install and comfortable. You won't regret it. I'm just sad this is the end of the line for our Britax needs. We also use it with a Britax Vehicle Seat Protector (the rubbery one) as it's on leather car seats. So it stops any potential slippage or mess.

Great seat for older kids - wish it went to 145 cm
I bought this a week ago for my 7 year old, as I tried him in my daughter's (5) Safe N Sound High Liner which was a little too snug for him width-wise (even though he's slight).
Super easer to install, it took less than 5 minutes. Child looks very comfortable in it and can easily buckle himself in. The seat area is nice and narrow, so he doesn't have to fish around getting the buckle in, he can see it clearly next to him. (Old seat it was almost underneath him).

I have a very tall 3-y-o. Is the 4-point harness safe for this age? (I have been told their bones are more fragile, so 5-point-harness would be more suitable at this age generally.) Also, can I safely fit it to the middle seat on Discovery 5? The seat belt comes out of the top of the seat itself. Thank you!

Hi Weiss, thanks for your question. The Kid Guard is tested from approx. 4 years to 10 years of age and a child must meet or be above the entry level marker which is 380mm approx. The Safe-n-Sound Kid Guard can be installed as long as there is a lap sash seat belt in the middle seat and is also depending on where your anchor point is located. Hi Britax, how does the safety rating of the Kid Guard differ to the Kid Guard Pro? Specifically is there any difference in safety between the AHR of the Kid Guard and the SICT of the Pro? As the Pro is an older model, are there any improvements in the new baseline or is it the same technology but with less expensive options than the Pro? Thank you

I called Britax with this same question and they advised the taller exit marker, but also that the Kid Guard did not have the additional side impact protection feature around the head (you can see it on the side of the headrest of the pro and not there on the kid guard). Apparently it is still one of the safest but apparently to drop the RRP by $100, that feature needed to be removed.
