Appalling Service - Appalling Quality
3 Year old blinds completely out of the seems at both ends, my elderly mother who they were happy to take her money, they cannot be contacted to get service. I finally called the sales line (yep they answered) - promised to pass on the details - but no call back - called back again - same thing.
Do your homework, they talk well, but their service is crap - if you can get onto them. No customer care here.

still not working properly
All fine at first then installer came with parts missing and had to come again, one shutter was put on wrong and had to be taken off and reinstalled. Called service as the slats didn't close properly, 3-4weeks later someone comes and removes a slat from both shutters, we wait another few weeks and next week someone is coming to fix the problem of the shutter not completely closing. Twice I left messages for a call back and the first time it didn't happen, 2nd time I was told someone was on the phone and would get a call back, after 3 hours I called back and got through then within 15mins I got the call back. 27th Feb they were installed, I do hope next week that it is all fixed. Wouldn't bother with Burns again.

Feel scammed !
Took 4 months to get blinds installed....nil communication to say material out of stock. Paid $4,000. Due to arthritic hands unable to handle buckles.. Saddles too small for 2 clips. Very poor reaction from Management.. This product is useless to me.. Left me a pole but no attachment in the middle of blind base to pull blind down....told Salesman several times about severe arthritis in hands.. Quick to take deposit.. This has caused me much stress and frustration.. I would never recommend this company... Will communicate more on Thursday when serviceman returns to look at the problem.. Debra. Upper Sturt.

Zip Trak outside blinds - perfect

Do Your Homework First
Don't pay the final amount due unless you are completely satisfied. I was not happy but paid them and regretted it almost immediately. But Burns have said that they will address the issues I have with the blinds.

Don't bother
Didn't make it to first base with this company. Made early appointment with consultant at Magill Road store for quote - he didn't turn up. He rang to make later appointment - didn't turn up. He then sent sms with vague promises of arriving "some time this arvo". Obviously no concern for the arrangements that people have to make for time off work etc. Caused major inconvenience, and I told him not to bother. Not a single word of apology!

I was told the security door would be installed on a Saturday after 12 providing there was enough work on the Saturday to put my job last as they said I had to be home. I then DAYS later after calling multiple times spoke to a manager. He told me I dont have to be there as the door is easily accessible and as it is on the outside front door there is no reason for me to be home. ked about the Saturday too and they said the whole day is booked (yet I never got a call to book in installation for more than 1 booking that day?!) And then when I spoke to the manager he told me we laughed about and joked about it happening friday?! It was NOT a joke he knew I needed it installed asap. I am disgusted by the customer service and asked for a refund instead to go elsewhere but they said after 3 weeks the door is made and they cant refund me. Shutter blinds
I’ve had nothing but problems with the blinds shutting properly since they were installed. They replaced 4 slats and it’s a bit better but the actual fit of the frame is particularly poor especially as they are measure to fit the window frame. And the time to replace 4 slats was 8 weeks. Pretty ordinary. Wish I’d tried else where.

Plantation Shutters
We ordered 3 plantation shutters in January 2022 from Burns for Blinds. Salesman was very quick to point out the quality of the shutters, and decided to go through them. We decided on the American Basswood. It took 10 weeks from measure to install as the products are produced in China. They had to come back to install the plugs, another 4 weeks. We had several issue with the shutters not closing properly, they offered to replace 3 faulty ones, another 8 weeks wait. Only 1 ordered and replace. Terrible to deal with.
Beware dealing with this company. Long time delay. Bad product. Will extort final payment when they don't stick to the deal through the courts. They do this very quickly so you can't get a case into consumer affairs. Make sure to go to consumer affairs as quickly as possible when they take you down.

Terrible customer service
Very quick to come and quote and take your money but if any issues arise - all care and attention goes out the window. We have been waiting for 6 weeks for a faulty blind to be replaced and no one returns calls

Warning do not purchase blinds from this company. They measured twice for blinds and when installed didnt fit. Had to wait 4 more weeks to get it finished

Why not to buy from burns for blinds
This company is a joke, they have the worst customer service, I have ever had
I ordered 2 security screens and they took over 10 weeks to fit.
Complained to Burns for blinds boss and you got every excuse under the sun for the delay, then they stuffed up the order.
There seems to no communication between each people that work for burns for blinds,from boss to factory.
There is no old fashioned customer service.
There is no pride in service at all.
They quote on their website we are superior in service.
WHAT A CROC!!!
I would not recommend them to anybody.
I pity the fools who use them.
Vowed never to use again

Workmanship was poor
They had to come to my house total 6 days to install blinds, that means I had to allocate my 6 days to them. Day 1 Measurement
Day 2 One blind missing and one different colour
Day 3 Colour issue fixed but the missing one was of wrong length
Day 4 All roller blind installation completed - but they took out one spring from one blind as it was not working ok, different than factory!
Day 5 Plantation shutter started to install- due to delay in delivery - but the silicon colour was wrong
Day 6 correct silicon sourced and all done

Paid Deposit 3 outdoor Blinds (one measured was Urgent); One week later after money "Pre Paid ", still NO contact back.
Will Not recommend BURNS for BLINDS (at this stage) Pre Booked Appointment over a week prior, still had to contact latter firm, as no confirmed "Day before "as told Contact would be made by consultant. nd phone calls. Title of Review..... Paid Deposit for 3 outdoor blinds, one week later and still NO contact and one Replacement blind written down Urgent. Seems PRE PAY monies & left in limbo ! September 8th 2022 Update: Still NO "URGENT" Blind received. Burns for Blinds has still NOT installed my One "URGENT" outdoor blind. The time, cost & inconvenience this firm has caused. Directly before paid deposit for THREE Blinds, assured the urgent blinds would be only a week (after 2nd person came to recheck measurements). Took whole week off, still NO blind. Gave B for B until Sept: 9th a.m. to fit (or want to be FULLY REFUNDED for all three blinds - Deposit paid). September 24th 2022 Update: STILL WAITING ! It will be FIVE (5) WEEKS tomorrow since paid deposit for three blinds. Only one 6' blind was URGENT, and still do not have. Can’t complain about the service. It isn’t there!
We decided to order replacement blinds, window screens and two security screens for our rental property. The order was placed in mid-May. After getting two different quotes from Burns for Blinds (the incorrect windows were initially measured), we confirmed the order and paid the deposit at the end of May. Full payment was made in the middle of June (before the end of the financial year). The three internal window blinds were installed at about that time. . This is three months after the order was placed and two months after full payment was made. We’ve received NO contact from BfB; the only information that we’ve got from them is after we’ve asked questions as to WHY everything has been delayed. Three months to make and install two security screens is really a poor effort on their part. We won’t be dealing with them again. August 17th 2022 Update: Totally appalling lack of service! After having paid IN FULL over two months ago for 2 security screens and the re-screening of some window mesh screens, we are still waiting for the job to be done. No special need consideration
I wanted Burns blinds in my new home as had a good one in my old home.
I was told 3-4 weeks but was 5 . During that time I became progressively more ill spending days in bed. I had no blind in my street facing bedroom. No compassionate fast track. I lost my hearing over that time and am unable to hear on the phone. I requested but was told no texting service available.
With the expensive prices they are targeting an elite market but don't expect useful service if you have a special need.

Be careful before ordering - disappointing company
I’ve had my battery run blinds for over a year now so I think it’s time enough to give you a review - the salesman sells it all to you then they take a long long time before installing. I’m in the new build apartment and my neighbours had their blinds long before me from other companies so I had to live with no blinds for several months, then they installed them, had the wrong size, anyway eventually they got done and I’ve had to call them out when it was in warranty and now just one by one the blinds break, they won’t move, roller gets stuck, they come off the roller, pretty much a nightmare really, I wouldn’t touch the the company ever again, very very disappointed in Burns for blinds in Adelaide, very disappointed indeed.

We had 3 wooden Venetian blinds installed and we are very happy and impressed with them, they add a cozy feel to the rooms they are in..we have always been happy with Burns for Blinds.
