Use Camplify every holiday
I've been using Camplify to organise my caravan hires for the last two years. It's such an easy process and is very safe for both the hirer and the hiree. Brenton S

Refunded
I requested a refund from Camplify on March 23rd due to WA Government travel restrictions in response to Covid 19. Like many businesses, the impact of sudden and drastic change was overwhelming. After receiving a full refund, I look forward to better times and will be using Camplify in my future travels.

Great family holiday
Had an amazing family holiday when we hired one of camplify’s vans. The process was so simple and easy and made for a very stress free holiday which can be especially hard with little kid in toe. Having the van meant we could easily set things up and be able to access everything we needs for the kiddo while still being able to move around easily. First time we have used a service like this and will not be the last. They were really helpful with running through everything also and even called to check how we were going with everything on the second day which was great.

Best family holiday
Camplify were so helpful with out booking. We stayed in one of their vans in Tasmania. When we arrived they went through everything with us and were on call for the whole week when we had any questions and were very helpful. When we were able to extend our trip by a few days they were very helpful and organised the extension for us and even helped with our transfer to the airport. Had an amazing holiday and will definitely be hiring from them again

This website changed the way I travel Australia. Amazing!
Have used Camplify to book a 4WD for a trip down south in WA and this thing is amazing. The concept of connecting renters with lenders is such a great idea.
My wife and I wanted to do a 4WD trip for a while but could not afford to rent one nor purchase one and this is such an amazing option to have. The person we rented from was very nice and it was a smooth sail all the way. Thanks

Unethical company changing the rules
I am so disappointed in the way this company has conducted themselves amid the Coronvirus epidemic. They do not issue refunds even though they sent out correspondence saying they would. Further they hold the money when they are only spoke to make a transaction fee on the transaction and dispatch it to the hirer. This company will be lucky to make it out the other side of coronavirus. There is no communication. You raise tickets that never get replied to. Very disappointing.

Great Experience
Hired a motorhome for 4 weeks recently. Great communication from beginning to end, and during booking. Home provided everything I needed. A few roadside issues were dealt with promptly thanks to friendly customer support staff. I would highly recommend Camplify, especially if you're a 1st time camper like myself.

Refunded in Full!
After inititailly giving a 1 star review due to the slow responses and lack of a refund from camplify. I was contacted within a day of posting my review and have now been refunded my deposit in full. I'm very happy now, and can understand why their response was slow during this Covid-19 Crisis. Hopefully they continue to refund others who are now unable to travel.

Deplorable - not refunding even though the van owner cancelled our rental
Camplify are holding on to the whole amount of our rental for our Easter holiday. The rental was cancelled by the owner of the van (per isolation regulations) but even though the Camplify fee was a small amount of the entire booking - Camplify retain the entire fee - and the renter has been left with nothing.
I've sent multiple emails and not had a response. Camplify is the only organisation that has refused refunds, but what is extraordinary is they have refused to even refund the portion of the rental that was for the van owner.
I assume they are desperate and could collapse. I've raised a dispute with my card issuer in the hope I can recover some funds.

Give the refunds and stop being immoral
As an owner of a van that uses the camplify platform. I'm a little disappointed in how the whole COVID 19 situation has been handled especially with regards to changing of their refund policy after most of these hirers have agreed to different terms. Their forceful nature and lack of action in demanding customers take credits instead of refunds is deplorable.

How do you live with yourself Camplify CEO J.H
I am now 2k out of pocket and been offered a bloody credit. Unable to take our family trip as the borders are closed. We have been given refunds for all of the caravan parks and events we booked but these Camplify scum think its OK to keep my money for themselves. It's not like any of the money went to the people who actually own the campers either. I hope your business goes under and you go bankrupt. This has made me so angry that I would now happily lose my money if it meant I got to see you go under. You are the worst of the worst. You don't deserve to be called Australian.

Finally settled
I’ve tried contacting them 5 times. Been given a credit on a cancellation due to covid. These companies need to be held accountable by the government. We have a business that got shut down 23/03/20 and nothing promising within the near future. The money we put down could certainly be used. Had they done the right thing we would have used their services in the future. They want to behave this way is fine, I’ll just make sure no one that I know will EVER use this company.
Update:
Refund finally came through. Thank you for that and I’m sorry for the position covid has put us all in.

Like most travel brands, we were overwhelmed by the volume of enquiries and cancellations just before Easter. This prevented us from providing our normal level of service and for this, we apologise. You were refunded in full on Friday 24th April. Regards, CamplifyThank you for refunding, very much appreciated.

After initially offering only a credit, Camplify did provide a refund.
Covid 19 government mandated restrictions means no one can use this service, rather than return over $500 in bookings to families in need, they offer a credit only to be used in 12 months in a cheerfull email. Some 6 weeks later this review received a note from a representative, which lead to a refund. Our direct emails were not responded to, which makes me think they are more concerned about appearances than assisting in this time.

Dont go near them - unethical
We contracted to hire an RV from these guys for a family holiday and the contract was cancelled by Campliy, not us and Campliy offered a credit only.
I have tried to contact them numerous times and had no reply at all. I don’t believe they are Ethical and will not honour their own terms and conditions.
I would stay very clear if this company once this pandemic is over and warn others.
We are all struggling with current situation and this company keeping public’s monies is disgraceful and illegal

Don't use this company whatsoever under any circumstances
My parents hired a van for Easter and of course have cancelled their holiday due to COVID-19. While they offered a credit, my parents said they would prefer some refund, providing proof they had been directly affected by COVID and both lost their jobs. They replied that my parents had "cancelled their booking" not true, it was cancelled by Camplify! They haven't provided them with any advice about refunding their money. They have to proper refund policy on their website which goes against the Consumer Affairs guidelines. This company needs to be reported!

Absolutely disgraceful
Cancelled a booking within the right timeline to be able to receive a full refund. I took a screen shot of the cancellation terms at the time so I had a copy of this. Shows full refund if cancelled 31 days prior which was applicable. Now I’m told that I have a credit as I’ve cancelled due to extenuating circumstances. I’m cancelling under clause 12.3 which gives me the right to a full refund not Credit! camplify have now changed contract terms but this does not apply to me as I accepted different terms and conditions than these new terms so they must give refund.

COVID-19 (Update)
Refused refund, when we are locked down due to COVID-19. Guess we will have to try a chargeback or QCAT to see if they agree with their behaviour. AVOID this hire company.
Update: refund received and rating changed to reflect this. I am glad to see they changed this policy. Hopefully it isn't only the cases that brought it into the public. Thank you camplify and thankyou product review.

Low example in the time of uncertainty.
We booked our family camping trip in SA and have no choice but to cancel as SA border closed due to COVID19. Camplify will only offer a "credit to be used within 12 months". After I made it clear we can’t use that credit for the next 12 months and to look for any form of refund or if the credit could be extended to 24months, they refused.
We’ve been through bush fire outbreaks in Jan and now this SA trip with Covid19, all various bookings with flight tickets and accommodations etc. were all refunded without any hurdles in the unforeseeable/uncontrollable circumstances.
Thank you Camplify for setting a low example in the time of uncertainty.

Questions & Answers

Hi camplify are you able to keep the caravan instorage between hiring. How much
1 answer
Hi Ray, Where are you located? You can store your caravan at various storage facilities around the country, but Camplify doesn't offer this service. For example Beacon Storage in the suburbs of south east Melbourne always has availability.
Matthew B.asked
Hi there
Honestly is a good idea renting out your own caravan with camplify ?
Do you get Lots renters?
I have read the reviews they sound good, but an honest answer would be good.

Surprises you haven't got an answer here. Maybe there have been a few more reviews since your posted your question that might help.
