Un Australian service
Can't believe an Australian company would not be able to waive the cancellation fee for a family that was affected by a bush fire. I can understand it was last minute but you still had 24 hours notice. Only option I got was to pay more to turn it into a gift card. If only I could rate 0 stars

Seafood Lunch Buffet
Booking was easy. Was very exciting boarding the vessel & was happy we had a window seat. Unfortunately the windows were bit dirty & very smudgy to take a clear photo of the views. Recorded commentary was interesting but very hard to hear over a deck full of diners. Not once did we get any staff explaining to us how the lunch menu worked or what we had to do. We worked it out ourselves. Lunch was very mediocre. Unpeeled prawns & small oysters was the only seafood offered. A few other hot dishes & salads accompanied. Was a lovely cheese & crack...Read more
er table with a few cakes to choose from. Was thrilled to find out we could venture through out the vessel, so we headed out on the upper deck to enjoy the open scenery & smoking was permitted back of stern. Was very disappointed due to our vessel arriving half hour late to board & we docked back 20min earlier so they could schedule back on time for the next charter. Cut our adventure short. All in all it was a lovely cruise & we look forward in taking another one with Captain Cook Cruises in the near future.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Captain Cook Long Lunch Cruise
I can not fault the Long Lunch cruise with Captain Cook Cruises on Sydney Harbour. The food was really good and the staff couldn't be nicer. The cruise was over 3 hours long, but I liked that there was an option to disembark early if you wanted to. We bought drinks onboard and they weren't expensive. The deck was enclosed glass, so we had a great view of everything without worrying about the weather. I would definitely go again!

The vivid lights cruise is disappointing
Booking was easy, there is ample space on board, but it’s really disappointing as the cruise offers no more than a ferry ride from darling harbour to circular quay - which costs a fraction of the price

Absolutely disgusting service and rip off overall!
The staff were rude, and the service impersonal, for $139 a head, disgraceful. We were told drinks were included but were charged and half hour wait. They don't care about you. They care about money. Overly full, way too many people.

Outstanding
last week I went on the Captain Cook Murray Princess cruise, I have never done this before, so didn't know what to expect.
I was blown away by the vessel, the crew were wonderful, nothing was to difficult for them. The chef, cooked up a storm, something for everyone, and so much choice. The views on the Murray in SA were amazing and so picturesque. Fun Fun Fun, if you get the opportunity to go, I highly recommend them.

Highlight of our holiday
We absolutely loved our lunch cruise. The staff were so welcoming and friendly from start to finish.
The ship was clean and appears well maintained. Lunch was served promptly and looked as good as it tasted. My steak was cooked exactly as requested.
The drink menu was excellent and reasonably priced.
There is an option to pay a littyextra for window seating. WELL WORTH paying it. The window seating was great.
My only, very tiny (nit picking) criticism is that the bathroom facilities are only on the bottom deck, so as we were seated on t...Read more

Ambience and service great. Food very poor.
I went on the christmas day lunch cruise. 5 course meal with premium drinks. Lunar Sky deck.
The inside of the boat itself was nicely presented though not very christmasy. A gold balloon on a gold twine attached to each dining chair and a bon bon was as far as it went.
As i was travelling solo, i requested a window seat on booking which was happily granted.
Had a lovely view of the harbour.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I met two lovely couples whom I chatted with throughout the duration of the cruise.
The only (but major!) dow...Read more

Scheduling
We came off a P&O Cruise at White Bay, the officers on the bridge of the Captain Cook boat watched us walking around for 5 mins and closed the gate as we got there smiling as they did it.

Captain Cook Lunch Cruise - 10 out of 10!
Highly recommend the 3 course lunch cruise with Captain Cook Cruises. Great service. Well organised. Brilliant food. Great bar variety. Beautiful harbour. What more could you want. You don't need to be a tourist to do this. Next time you have a special occasion head off here. You won't regret it. Well done Captain Cook Cruises.

3.5 hour long lunch cruise
We had a party of 12 for the 3.5 hour long lunch. We all did the standard bar package which was great.
The food was absolutely fabulous. It was served to us and it was not the buffet. It was fine dining and very well presented. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly.
I would recommend this great, value for money cruise weather it’s to celebrate an occasion with a group or a romantic dinner.
I will definitely be going on this particular cruise again.
Thank you Captain Cook Cruises for a great day.

Disappointing service unprofessional staff
Booked a Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour for Vivid. 4 pax.
We had wonderful weather and was really excited to be taking my elderly parents on the 2 hr bus trip to meet the boat. We were told on the coach that Captain Cook are second to none and they will sort any issues. We had allocated seats on the coach all was fine until we set foot aboard.
We lined up to board, and instead of sitting with a view of the harbour together, we were shoved in the middle of the boat, and they trying to split us up into 1 seat each between other guests! There...Read more

Rude vulgar staff at circular quay
Take a look at yourselves Capt Cook cruises, you should be employing helpful and approachable staff not rude, hungover, can't be bothered losers!!! HR needs to be pulled into the office for employing such poor representatives of your company, you'd get a better service from a wet lettuce! Disappointing as the company should be in pole position given the name your portraying!!!

No manners and bad faith in top of that
I booked a cruise with two Iventure cards. I was told that I'll have to pay 20$ in the top of the card. Cruise supposed to be 79$ and this day it was only 59$. No necessary to tell that the Iventure card deal is a total rip off with them.
Anyway I chose to do the cruise. The bad thing is: I came for the cruise on the day I was told, with my baby son in my arms (completely distracting me as usual). Not only the woman behind the counter was not nice but she did not ask me to pay anything. As I was distracted, I forgot to tell her: "Oh wait you f...Read more

Terrible
Very Bad, I cannot believe it. My brother paid $1250 for the VIP deck for 9 of us. you wont believe how bad the food was and how small the portions were . Then the wine menu.... whatever price of a bottle of wine is at bottle shop multiply it by 6, that is 600 percent margin.

Sydney weekend two night cruise
Bad service, food, cutlery and crockery running out before half the people had been served. Tables forgotten completely. Sheets had not been washed since last person had slept on them. Same music played on rotation for entire weekend. Rude staff. They couldn't care less and shrugged shoulders at us when we asked what was being done about above problems
Sydney Harbour
Everything. And no respoe to emailed and written complains to the company

don't get caught out
My wife and I like to enjoy the dinner cruise of Sydney Harbour on Christmas Eve. Have done so at least 4 times. The first time we thought what a bargain but this year we are doubtful if we would do it again. Free ultra cheap Champagne was awful, French tourist next to our table had one swallow and did not touch it again. Had to wonder what she thought having probably heard about Australia's enormous wine industry. Regarding the advertised special, Captain Cook's idea of a special is to charge less and then give the customer less which equ...Read more
als to the normal price. Don't appreciate being tricked. $69 for a one course meal + two cheap free drinks, does not equate to a special. Rather annoyed as we would rather have paid full price and had two courses. Website needs some thought as I was given 15 or so selections when checking out, some with similar names which increases the chance of ticking the wrong one, which I did and had to spent 20 minutes on the phone getting a later time. How hard would it be to put the sailing time next to each one? The entree sized lamb shank, surprised to see it on a summer menu, was nicely cooked but equivalent to any good pub meal. My wife upset about the ladies toilet not being clean which was also embarrassing as the cruise is popular with tourists. Of course the harbour was terrific even in poor weather and the live music increased the enjoyment of the view Unclean ladies toiletSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
