Good Quality, Well Organised and Good Value
We took a 3 night cruise in Fiji. We booked the lowest level cabin for our family of 2 adults and 1 child and were perfectly comfortable for the duration of our stay. You really only go to the cabins to sleep.
The level of service was outstanding as was the food and the quality and condition of all facilities on board.
The activities organised daily were well organised and allowed more than enough time to fully experience them. So many great things about this cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed the Captain Cook experience.
Only negative - finding out about a surcharge for credit card fees on check out with no alternatives available at the dock.
Good quality & well organised

Terrible
Due to the "hard line" treatment received from Captain Cook Cruises over a very small amount of a gift voucher they will no longer enjoy our future custom.
We had been loyal customers of Captain Cook Cruises for over 10 years having travelled on their Fiji, Barrier Reef, Sydney Harbour and Murray River cruises and enjoyed every trip with great staff.
We were given a Captain Cook Cruise gift voucher which we mistakenly did not use in the time available period. - believing we had 12 months (most gift vouchers are valid for 12 months) to use (Capt...Read more

Good
Overall Captain Cook Cruises offers a good service. You get what you pay for it seems. Their Sydney Harbour Cruises are excellent owing in large part to the excellent venue that the cruise operates within. If there is several different levels of service would recommend not going for the lowest tier option unless that is all you really can afford. The mid level service is very adequate.
Friendly staff who provide knowledgeable commentary on their cruises anyway.
The schedule seems to be a bit rushed. There is different classes, seems to be three levels. The lower level cattle class looked decidedly average. Get on at one location and get off at another to see even more of an area.

What a rip off!
Paid $139 each plus $29 each for the Captain's Dinner Cruise.
The music was for 60 yr olds, the food was dodgy and small portioned.
And the alcohol seemed watered down to both of us. The service was rushed, the dessert seemed pre bought. Tiny portions!
We paid $29 for the alcohol package and after dinner couldn't find a waiter to order drinks from anymore.
What a waste of time and money. For that money we could have had an excellent dinner at any number of waterside restaurants in Sydney with quality food and quality wine.
Only go...Read more
if you want to experience a harbour cruise and spend the money on the cheaper option of the dinner cruise at $89 and don't drink or order one drink or get a bottle of wine or champagne and make sure they open it in front of our eyes to avoid tampering or watering down.Similar opinion? Excellent
We went on the 7 day Fiji cruise and had the most awesome time. The crowd was a bit older but we had a blast parting with the younger staff onboard. There was a a new view to look at everyday and as the ship is small, it can weave its away into all the islands in Fiji. They also arrange land tours (which are all-inclusive) and you get to meet and mingle with the locals. The highlight was meeting the school children on one the islands. Make sure to bring pencils and books for them as they really need it. The local church choir's singig is h...Read more
eavenly and is worthy of a performance in the Opera House. The staff go out of their way to help you, they are kind and always have a smile on their face. The snorkelling is fabulous and the beaches are second to none. Fijians are a warm and gentle people and they will welcome you with open arms. The rooms on the cruise are world class, the food is excellent...just make sure you bring a lot of snacks if you like snacking. And the activities on board are entertaining and fosters bonding with the staff and your fellow passengers. All food is included and activities (including land tours) are included. Drinks are extra but are a decent price. I had two cocktails everyday by the pool lounge for a week! Heaven and can;t wait to come back! Small ship feel - you get to interact with your fellow passengers more. At the end of the cruise, you feel like one big, happy family. Staff are lovely! As the ship is small, the boat can rock during bad weather - bring anti nausea pills. Set mealtimes - very hard if you get hungry outside of mealtimes, bring a lot of supplies!Similar opinion? Excellent
We recommend this trip to all our friends. Admittedly the trip we did was a underbooked and so we were all spoiled but the food was A1, the staff were all wonderful. The Princess is worth the trip alone, all that brass and polished wood! Just do it.
We booked a Murray River Princess cruise with two friends, and had the best 4 nights ever. Most guests were nearing retirement age but there was a good range including kids.
We found nothing to criticize. All was as advertised and more.

Good
We took the Captain Cook Cruise ship down the Swan River for a cruise with the staff from work. The staff were very friendly in welcoming us aboard. The Captain explained some of the scenery to us and before long we were at our destination - one of the wineries on the Swan River. We went onshore to do some wine tasting, then returned to the ship, our purchases in hand. Lunch was then served - it was a large spread, although they were rather ordinary dishes but we all enjoyed them nonetheless. We used vouchers from the Entertainment Book and sav...Read more
ed 25% on everyone's fares so it definitely was great value for money. I've been on a few other cruises with them for work and we absolutely loved the drinks packages they offer. Good sized ship for a large occasion, great entertainment onboard. They are also in the Entertainment Book for 25% off (I recall). The food was a bit ordinary. The selection of alcoholic beverages onboard were not that great.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Good
We would definitely go on this cruise again. It was romantic, the food was great, we danced for the first time in ages and the staff on the boat really looked after us.
I really loved the fact that we got to see so much of the harbour, and the food was excellent. We did the dinner cruise on the Sydney 2000.
We went on a Tuesday night and wished it went longer. I now know that on Friday & Saturday nights the cruise is one hour longer.
