Most annoying hold music in the world
Their hold music is enough to drive you mad. They need to sort it out and get their marketing department in line! Other than that, good store and products but this hold music has destroyed me.

Help in difficult times
Passing through on way home from Doctor's visit, thought i'd call in and get the last script filled for Crestor & Micardis. Walked around shop for 5 minutes and was called over by the pharmacist and told that as i had obtained the meds only 10 days ago he couldn't fill it until it was 20 days after the last one. I'm 77 and since there's a pandemic on am trying to stay at home as who knows in 10 days time i may not feel like going out again. Surely a bit of leeway/compassion could have been shown. I'm over Chemist Warehouse.

Poor advice, poor customer service - Polaris (Bundoora) Victoria
My wife spends thousands - literally thousands - of dollars at Chemist Warehouse each year, mostly at the Polaris (Bundoora) store.
Recently she has been taking a strong antibiotic for a gut problem, and was advised by her GP to take a pro-biotic. Faced with a range of options, she asked for a recommendation from one of the duty pharmacists (young male) who directed here to a particular brand, and within that brand the variety branded as "Women's Health". She very specifically asked if it would be better to take the broad spectrum variety an...Read more
d the pharmacist again steered her towards the "Women's Health" variety. When she got home and started to open the bottle she noticed that the "Women's Health" variety was targeted at vaginal health not gut health. We returned to the store and asked to speak to the pharmacist, this time being directed to the other one on duty (young female). This pharmacist advised my wife that the variety she had purchased was good for treating thrush, but when my wife said she didn't have thrush and wanted something for her gut the pharmacist just kept repeating that many women do get thrush. My wife then asked her what she would have recommended. The pharmacist left the dispensary and took us down to where the probiotics were. She started to select a different brand, and my wife asked her to comment on the brand the first pharmacist had advised. The pharmacist insisted that that all probiotics were the same (despite there being many different varieties) and that the first pharmacist's advice had not been wrong. When my wife asked if she could exchange the bottle she had purchased for a more appropriate variety the pharmacist became very rude and officious, even cutting my wife off as she spoke.Similar opinion? Huge range at great prices
Chemist warehouse is always my go to for any chemist needs. They are usually the cheapest and have a great range of products. I generally do some research of the products on their website first though if looking for a supplement as having them sorted by brand in store can be frustrating, but online I can type in 'magnesium' for example and compare the products that come up and make a decision much easier before going in to the store.

Refused return of medication which was opened when bought
I purchased two bottles of baby panadol from Chemist Warehouse Clovelly Park. When I left the store, one of them was clearly opened on the inside and leaked everywhere. When I returned to the store with my receipt and the bottle (which was shrink wrapped but leaking!), the pharmacist was incredibly rude, refused to exchange or return my money and even suggested he should check the security footage to see if I had done it.
Selling medication which is opened must be against regulation and not offering an exchange when a product is clearly unusable is unacceptable. I left the package with the pharmacist to report to Panadol in case there is a safety issue with the supply but I have no confidence he will do this.

Always check your receipt, sometimes they scan some items twice
Today I did buy 2 bottles of nurofen for my kids, after I went home my wife did check the receipt and found they charge us for 3 bottles.
I went again to them to ask for refund and I told them to check the camera to confirm what I’m saying, They checked the camera and found what I said. They are so silly not even to show respect and say sorry about what happened.

Bad Management
Interesting how supermarkets and other retailers have managed to communicate with their customers on a regular basis since the COVID-19 outbreak - they have sent out emails, they have notices on their websites and information in stores, but we have yet to see anything from the Chemist Warehouse. As a supplier of health products and services, they should have been at the forefront of communications with their customers with an action plan aimed at easing customer frustrations about essential medicines and health aids. All retailers are in the sa...Read more
me boat with supplier shortages but some are doing the right thing and talking with their customers and delivering goods to those most vulnerable. All we get from Chemist warehouse is advertising for perfumes or skin care. Let's not kid ourselves, all retailers are out to make money, but it seems the management at Chemist Warehouse don't even want to pretend that they are in the service of people at their most vulnerable moments. The staff are young and inexperienced and just don't know how to handle customer enquiries or suggestions. Shame on you Chemist Warehouse for not adequately training your staff and exposing them to a stressful situation without backup and shame on you Chemist Warehouse for treating your customers with such disregard!Similar opinion? Chemist WH Altona North Dodgy Pharmacist
I went in to take my medication around 7pm on 13/3/2020. I just started a new medication that have to be picked up every 14 days recently. This new arrangement made by my doctor is confusing to me thus I am relying on the pharmacists to let me know on how it works.
When I went in, the initial lady asian pharmacist confirmed that I did not need to pay anything as I already pay for my medication in full the first time I took the medication. However, when they dispensed the medication, the male Indian pharmacist [name removed] told me that he wil...Read more
l not give me the medication unless I paid $1 extra for box because I never bring the box back and the box cost money. I said no one ever explained to me about it the first time I took the medication. Hence, I am unaware. He then asked me to go somewhere else to get my medication. He took my money already but refused to give me my medication. What a Fraud! He continue arguing and embarrassing me in front of other customers. So pretty and Spiteful. Rude and abusive towards patients! How can such pharmacist be allowed to practice and hold a license? I am sure his conduct is illegal and unethical for detaining my medication with a proper script and payment. I will report him to Aphra / the Ombudsman for violations of code of ethics. This kind of conduct cannot be allowed. Pharmacist suppose to be a respectable job and they are ought to be caring for patients. Shameful!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Security guards treat you like thiefs
I carry my own hand sanitizer, lipgloss, panadol, pads and sunscreen etc in a small pouch in my handbag regularly (like any other women) and was at the chemist warehouse at Chadstone to collect my medications. I do this every few days so they definitely know who I am. The Indian security guard demanded to check my bag, pulling out all of my own used items and asked where I purchased them from and if I stole them. I shouldn’t have to be treated like a thief for half used products that I purchased previously and have not stolen. This is embarrassing and bad customer service. I now have to go to the store after shopping and leave my bag in the car and just take my keys and wallet otherwise I’ll be treated like a thief.

Made to feel like a thief
My biggest gripe with this shop is the security guard posted at the entrance/exit. Most of the time they are surly looking men, who more resemble a bouncer at a night club at 2am in the morning rather than normal people who greet the customers with a happy disposition, after all they are paying your wages!
Then on the way out you are scowled at and have to open any bags you are carrying to prove you haven't stolen anything, I find this offensive.

Chemist warehouse chadstone
I don’t know what it is about chemist warehouse chadstone but on two recent occasions I have been given the third degree when leaving the store. The first was when security sent me back to the checkout to get a receipt for the goods I had just paid for in front of him and the second time the guard started questioning items on my babies pram. I can understand trying to prevent people stealing but that doesn’t mean you treat everyone like a thief. I’ve never had a problem at any of their other stores but I can safely say I won’t be shopping at any chemist warehouse store moving forward.

Arrogant chemist with attitude problem
Male Pharmacist (Indian background) working at Chemist Warehouse on Church St, Parramatta in the evening of 24th February 2020, became argumentative after I alerted him of the wait more than 15 minutes that he had mentioned when I gave him the script. I noticed that he kept saying robotically to all clients “there’ll be a wait of 15 minutes”.Few clients who came after me, were served 1st. By the way, I was waiting for antibiotic script for my little 2 year old who had insect bite infection...instead of prioritising script I.e understanding tha...Read more
t a young toddler needed antibiotic, he preferred easier customers ( meds that were readily available and that did not require making up!)..eventually there was no other customer waiting other than myself after 20 mins, my car parking was going to expire, and instead of apologising, he argued with me in front of everyone that he had mentioned a ‘minimum’ of 15 minutes and that I’ll have to wait another 15 minutes! When I told him that I was a GP myself, was disappointed with his service, he said ‘you want your script back?’ and again asked me my child’s surname, gave me back my script without remorse nor a ‘sorry’ word and kept arguing his point of ‘minimum of 15 minutes’ - sheer arrogance and more so, towards a medical professional who refers patients to chemists! Personally I’ve been going to this pharmacy for close to 10 years, but in last 1-2 years, I have noticed gradual decline in customer service overall. As a matter of fact, is it not more appropriate to say ‘ maximum of .... minutes’ rather - although it is not evident that the word ‘minimum’ was used, but rather thrown in to save oneself during this unnecessary argument. I must say that the previous chemist /dispenser lady I spoke to just before this happened, to remind her of my wait, communicated in such a better professional way towards me, the way she listened and responded and advised me- instead of this confrontational pharmacist . Eventually, I left flustered, and almost forgot to pay for extra things I took, being upset- then I returned to the security guard who kindly accepted to return the off the shelf items I was meant to buy additionally (as I lost faith & comfort in going back inside this pharmacy again - I will never return here, nor will I recommend my patients to go there, just in case they meet the same unfortunate and unfair situation I underwent). That evening, I googled the other closest chemist, found Priceline still open, called up to check the antibiotic medications for my little one were readily available, then went over...the pharmacy lady served me politely, treated me well, advised me correctly on the meds, offered extra assistance...I was so happy to pay extra bucks at Priceline today, rather than saving extra dollars at Chemist Warehouse and accepting any nonsense from that ill-mannered and non-caring pharmacist on-call, with definitely bad attitude (by the way, it was the first time I had seen him there..and hopefully the last time ever)!Similar opinion? No Customer Service
Cannot recommend . Chemist Warehouse Homemaker Centre 4122 lack any respect for customers time. Called there today to get a simple prescription filled. They took the Prescription and gave me a buzzer and told me to wait. After 20 minutes and a number of others after me had been served an assistant asked if I was waiting for something. In the meantime at least 2 Pharmacist seemed to be filling in time sorting shelves and winding up and down . YES I have been waiting for my prescription to be filled. y prescription. The buzzer I was given did not go off. So after waiting around for 20 minutes no apology was offered. To top it off asked a male assistant working in one of the aisle where I could find hand sanitiser. Received a very blunt sharp response “out of stock”. Was able to purchase at local Ramsay Chemist. Will not be returning to this Chemist Warehouse again but now prefer local chemist .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Horrible service
I went to buy stuff in the shop in Carousel WA. I spent more than two hundred dollars in the shop and the shop assistant refused to let me have hand alcohol rub from his counter. The manager said it is for stuff use only. If I buy anything from another shop like Myer, they will give me a free gift. I will never again go back.

Ridiculous
Do not shop at Blacktown Chemist Warehouse
Disgusting staff with no customer service skills at all.
Security Guard has attitude and shouldn't be physically touching you or your property.
Messy store.
Forever waiting with no help.
I came in with my grandma for the first time trying to get her medication. I walk in and everything is a big mess. Staff is no help at all. I ended up asking for help but the sales assistant had attitude. I literally paid for my things and tried to hurry up as it was so crowded and security stopped me by physically putting his hand on my shoulder and taking my bag from me to look in it.
Absolutely shocking!!!...Read more

My daughter was given perfume bought from chemist warehouse lilydale vic for christmas. She hasn't opened it as any perfume with rose gives her a violent headache.
She took it back and explained the situation but they refused to let her return it. Even stating that the weather has been hot which could have damaged it?
Don't these big companys have any compassion? Is this fair? It is one of the more expensive perfumes........
Thanks and any advice would be appreciated....sue.
