Extremely noisy

published

Road traffic on the Bussell H'way was constant and very loud which made sleeping and resting difficult. Restaurant experience underwhelming with forgotten orders and untruths told by staff to hide the fact that they had forgotten our order. Would not stay there again unless absolutely necessary.

As 100 Club members we are disappointed with the 100 Club service at Wyndham Sydney Suites.

published

We've stayed at Wyndham Sydney several times since becoming 100 Club members a little more than a year ago. We've also stayed at numerous other Wyndham properties in Queensland, Victoria and NSW over this time. Without exception all of those resorts have acknowledged the 100 Club membership and the 100 Club benefits such as the welcome package and the like have been there for us. This has not been the case at Sydney and we even had to ask to receive a bottle of wine as we were leaving. We're really not too concerned but fine it disappointing that the Sydney people can't get their act together and treat 100 Club members as they are entitled. We're booked in again in a few weeks and just hope that things improve.

The happiest place on earth

We have been twice a year since 2002 and we love the apartments, the staff and the facilities. Everyone is friendly and extremely happy to help with any request . We used to stay at the Sheraton and we have saved thousands of dollars by buying into Wyndham. We love it.

Pool & beach access are excellent. Room was old and run down. Restaurant was closed for renovations and had to eat the public bar near the sports & races, no room service.

Perfect spot

published

Ramada Phillip Island is a perfect spot to stay, quiet and peaceful in a beautiful Australian bush setting. Facilities are great indoor/outdoor pool, playground, games room, bbq facilities and a restaurant/cafe on site. 2 min drive into Cowes township and similar to Grand Prix track and not too far from Penguins. Recommend highly.

Relaxing and quiet

published

We had a lovely villa, enjoyed the peace and quiet and the relaxed atmosphere. Pool and spa were great and villa very comfortable. The restaurant and service there was great. You could even get takeaway if you wanted. It was lovely to be able to walk around the walking paths at the rear of the resort.

Overall lovely experience.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Location was perfect. Pool and spa facilities were wonderful. Furniture in room a little worn and outdated. Overall a great place to stay. Will be back.

Wyndham Melbourne

Stayed recently at Wyndham Melbourne. This has been by far the worst experience at Wyndham. Attributed to the quality of the beds!

Considering beds are the most important component of a room, our experience across Wyndham owned resorts has set the standard of expectation which in this case has been appalling.

This is not a hotel - the rooms weren’t cleaned for the whole time we were here. The pools are full of pee from the million kids that are staying - the prices for food and beverages are expensive and the staff are sour and don’t want to be there

Resort was fine, except our room was at the back and quite a journey to reception. Being next to the laundry which ran 24 hours was not ideal. Give this one a miss.

Beauty of Bali

We stayed at Dreamland resort in Bali for 12 days with our friends. This is one of the best Wyndham’s resorts we ever stay. The accommodation ( we had a villa for 4 with a private swimming pool and a deck) was simply amazing. Location, surrounding, staff, restaurant etc. are very good for relaxing holiday. Thank you, guys, we will be back.

Coming Back for more!

We stayed at the Ramada Golden Beach. Located close to the sea, the option to turn off the air-con and enjoy the sea breezes. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room, although small, had a clever design to make the room look larger than it was, and everything we needed. It was clean and functional and we enjoyed the use of the kayak. Cafes and Eateries nearby, plus great walking tracks.

Is there any way that you can show which resort is being reviewed in the comments made by customers. Some say the name in the review - others don't. I would love to know where some of them are writing about.

Hi Springa59,
Thanks for your inquiry. We wouldn't be able to identify resorts in all of the feedback. Some owners didn't leave the resort name in their review. Sorry. Apivut

So could you get the IT guys to add a resort name field so before the review they would add its name.

WHen we book a holiday, usually for 6 or seven weeks, 4/5 different club units, we can only book one at a time, instead of booking the whole trip. This is very inconvenient, and there is a chance that all the accommodation will not be available, leaving us in the lurch. It seems that now we have to book every bit of accommodation at 3.00am. and hoping there is availability. This is a new feature, and certainly causes anxiety as we try to make bookings from Melbourne to Caloundra and return.. I am thinking that there have been too many credits sold and insufficient accommodation in Australia.
Will the booking availability return to the previous method, eg be able to complete bookings for continuous accommodation?.

Qld member's understanding from a previous experience of trying to book more than one accomodation at a time was: For 7 days (minimum in Perth & then 7 days at Dunsborough, Margaret River, we had to be 13 months in advance plus charged for a second cleaning fee. Not everybody knows what their holiday schedule is going to be 13 months-out !! Or to try & take advantage of the 60 day Red Season window, to book 6 or 7 resorts all consecutive nights., when trying to travel from Melbourne to Caloundra & return, would not only be a logistical night-mare to maintain the schedule, but with due respect to Wyndham, it would not prove economical. Obviously Susan's planned 6 -7 weeks, means stopping in at all the main resorts along the coastal road, including Sydney and Port Macquarie with Port Stephens on the return route, with a possible minimum pre-arranged stay of 3 days at each premises (for Premium Members Only !!), which would be a nice holiday but not much time to unwind at Marcoola or Golden Beach - Sunshine Coast ? or Cheaper to catch Motels from NSW to Brisbane over 4 -5 days of sight-seeing drive up, then have the Sunshine Coast booking made to suit your planned road trip arrival date with 2 - 3 weeks spent looking around Brisbane, Marcoola & Golden Beach (limited number of cleaning charges, especially if she made Golden Beach the main central stop & travel out daily to the other sights.
Sorry if this reply only complicates things further for Susan, but I can understand her frustration, even with a Service Centre Consultant assisting, the rules & requirements that need to be met plus booking availabilities in consecutive 3 day periods !?

Fortunately Rebecca from 100Club assisted me, and I have bookings. However, not being able to just book the holiday at Flynns Beach, Coffs Harbour, Kirra, Caloundra and return certainly tested me. We do this trek every two years, enjoying the Club accommodation and renewing friendship.
I think if Rebecca had not been so helpful, I would have given up . It certainly has changed, and difficult to make spontaneous holidays, not 13 months in advance

I emailed my destinations, dates and length of stays to head office and they booked everything for me. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Some were 1 night, 2 nights and 3 or more night stays over a period of almost 3 weeks.
When we had to cancel almost a week of stays at 3 different location due to a death in the family, these were handled very quickly and sensitively and we had our credits refunded.

Depends on how serious the complaint. I have always found the Owner Services Team at Wyndham excellent and will resolve most issues. They respond well to phone calls on the usual Wyndham number. Otherwise, see Apivut's answer to get started, then if needs further action the relevant government department.
