We’re thinking about purchasing a 4 hooded barbecue from Aldi but we’d like to connect it to natural gas. My husband did that with our current barbecue 8 years ago. Is this feasible with this Coolabah bbq?
Thanks for your advice.

Can the 4 burner bbq w/ side burner connect to natural gas?
1 answer
Don't know as I don't have natural gas. Side burner just so weak, high flame even on low that just blackens my pans.
My last BBQ had a brilliant side burner with a low blue flame, just perfect for stir frying or any other kind of cooking.

Have lost owners manual for Aldi ‘Coolabah’ four burner BBQ (with side wok burner) - need to know how to change the batteries in the knobs that power the ‘blue lights!!!’
1 answer
I was wondering the same thing. The manual (Oct 2018 version) manual doesn't cover this.
Anyway, the knobs pull off the shaft fairly easily. Inside, you'll see a little black screw which retains an 11A 6volt battery, which you can buy from Jaycar.

I’m just finishing the assembly of my aldi Coolabah 4 burner bbq with side burner, however im stuck on the assembly / connection of the hose that connects to the underside of the side burner! The instructions aren’t that helpful for this final stage, can anyone assist or provide advise. Phil

Hi Phil. I put one of these together the other day - took the best part of four hours!
- Anyway, remove the locking nut from the adapter on the thinner flexible hose - its more like a spring than a hose.
-There is a black metal bracket that has two small holes and one larger hole - it is part 17 on page 8 of the instructions. Put the adapter into the larger hole, reattach the locking nut and tighten.
-Now put the adapter into the open end of the burner (part 14 on page 8). I just fed the thinner gas line back into the body of the bbq as far as possible and then arranged the excess so that it was out of the way of the burner.
-You should now be able to line up the two smaller holes with the holes in the underside of the of the side burner bench. Use two M5x10 stainless steel screws to attach he bracket in place (Step28) - they feed in from the top of the bench.
-Tighten the screws and check that everything lines up. There is a small black wire that is taped to the body of the bbq. Remove the tape and push the female end onto the burner as indicated in step 27.
Hope this helps - Charles.
Charles you're a champion, thanks to you i got my bbq finished! Cheers Mark

Cannot get dr ip tray to come out to clean. Any help?
1 answer
Hi Von, I think the drip tray comes out the rear of the BBQ. From behind, just lift a little and pull it out. By the way, I use that diatomaceous earth kitty litter to catch the oil and fat. It is cheap and easy to dispose of.

How to change battery in the 4burner model?
2 answers
There is no battery in my 4 burner stove. I think you mean the red ignition switch. This is a piezo switch. Check to see if it hasn't been moved when you cleaned under the grills. If it is faulty, then it needs to be replaced. (About $10 from Bunnings or BBs Galore). Remove it or take a photo to make sure you get the correct switch. Can also buy from Aldi spare parts. Read where on warranty booklet, or just Google for it

Purchases BBQ but the burners don't have covers ??? Are they missing or is that the design funny when I BBQ all the fat drips on top of the flames?
1 answer
All 4 burners should be fitted with covers. They are sheets of metal with a 90 degree bend. Without them your burners will eventually get blocked and you're no longer be able to use BBQ. If you BBQ doesn't come with them or if they degrade with age you could always cut yourself a set and put a 90 degree bend in them.

How do you connect the gas to the wok bunner have done what it said to on the instructions but it wont go in And I NEED SOME HELP NOW PLEASE?
2 answers
Hi Debbie, When I connected the gas bottle to the whole BBQ, the separate left hand burner was automatically fed gas as well.
If you look closely, you will notice that the LHS burner needs the knob to be turned on and the pushed down for a second or two to ignite the gas.
I think that may be your problem. Good luck! Chris
It ok i had to make the hole a bit bigger to contact with the wok burner its underneath the wok cooking thingy thanks for ur answer but it wasn't about what i wanted to know
