costco hearing aid centre, kilburn, south australia
The Costco hearing aid service at Kilburn is outstanding . Sunil Budden, the fully trained audiologist, spends
whatever time is necessary to test your hearing, explain the use and wearing of hearing aids, and fitting you with your choice from a good selection of amazingly reasonably priced hearing aids. The cost is much much less than elsewhere and the service and expertise is much better ! A really excellent experience.

Not happy
$60 membership .Why? Petrol stations charge you double price via credit card for security purposes only to be refunded after 3 to 4 days. Catalogues they send you don't include actual prices for comparison, only the savings made. These are 3 reasons why i wont be renewing my membership.

Bad food, bad prices
Pay $60 for membership to pay extra for items. The fresh food is terrible. Never had a worse ham and the pork belly has no skin. I don't see the prices any better then Coles. You can keep my $60.

Paying for Costco Petrol
In reference to the person who said Costco Fuel cost them over $2 a litre.
When paying for petrol at Costco you should understand how it works.
You can only pay by card, no cash accepted.
What this means is you need to estimate (take a guess or use a calculator) what your petrol/diesel will cost depending on how many litres you need.
If I'm down to half a tank on the petrol gauge I know my car takes 40 litres, say $48 so I might enter $40
If I'm not sure and need more I might put in $80. If a fill costs me $60 then then my BANK will r...Read more

Good But Beware The Seduction Of Junk
I've been wanting to check out Costco for a while and finally did so last weekend with a friend who was a member of Costco Adelaide. Watching the people stream in with the oversized trolleys under the watchful, chirpy staff was an experience. I wandered around the cavernous space, checking out items and prices. The fresh food range was good, the junk food, snacks and confectioner range even better. Pricewise, junk/snacks/confectionery were pretty cheap - fat people heaven, in my son's words; fresh food were comparable to regular supermarkets e....Read more
g. Sirloin was about the same price but chicken breasts in single, convenience packaging were a bargain at supermarket deli 'special' prices. Most pantry and grocery items were at supermarket 'specials' pricing. The real savings are in the Costco special offers e.g. a pack of 10 Oral B replacement toothbrush heads worked out at under $3 a unit compared to the $6-7 I usually pay. If you don't need to buy in bulk or can't resist junk/snacks, I'd recommend you shop judiciously for specials at your regular supermarket. If you do need to buy in bulk, Costco is great as many of the prices are at or close to the regular supermarket specials prices. One caveat: you must know your prices as not everything is cheap. I joined up, knowing Costco will give a full refund within the year if you decide the $60 membership is not working for you. BTW, if you don't have a friend whose a member, a friendly staffer advised you can get a free visitor pass to look around.1 comment

Horrible Customer Serivce
We went to Costco Kilburn 5 days ago and had a bad experience at the checkout. I was with my partner who is the Costco cardholder and because I was going to use my EFTPOS card to access our joint funds The cashier refused to take our payment and insisted we pay cash because I was not the cardholder. Ridiculous. We were buying joint products for joint use with the cardholder with funds coming from our joint account. The way the transaction and explanation were handled was woeful. Emailed a complaint when we got home. They have not been polite enough to respond. Goodbye Costco - we won't be renewing.

Gimmicks and Lies
Wolverine's review is absolutely correct. Their prices are going up rapidly to the point where it becomes hard to distinguish between Costco and normal retailers, especially after you factor in the $60 compulsory membership to enter and shop there.
I was told they had cheap TVs so I tried to find a price on their website but nothing. The website is totally useless. No details about products or prices. Just membership info and the option to sign up on line. Seems like the only way to know what they have and for what price is for you to visit ...Read more
in person. Which means you have to get a membership card (though they will still let you in without one, but they give you a lecture before you do!) I managed to find a blog site that listed the TV prices of Costco Australia and indeed the prices were cheaper. However, upon arriving at the store and buying a $60 membership to entering the store and shop. I noticed that they did not stock many of the models on the list. With regard to the ones they did stock, the prices were about $200 or more dearer than the list. I inquired about this and a sales rep told me that those were old prices from a few months ago and since then they increased the prices because the TVs were so popular and they had sold out of many of them. This is bovine excrement! They pumped up the price on a TV by 200 bucks (plus $60 membership) because it was popular. Makes me wonder how many other things are like this. Start out cheap and then gradually move to normal prices. So unless you have a family of 6 to feed and are happy to drive all the way down to Kilburn and wait behind all those Octo-mums buying months worth of groceries and junk food for their 8 kids and then wait to have your dockets checked before you can leave, then Costco seems more of a gimmicky retailer than a genuine wholesaler open to the public.Similar opinion? Check the use by dates
I do love Costco and have so much fun in there (adelaide store) but have found that the fresh bakery and salad stuff still at full price used by that day. So make sure you check the used by dates. Was very disappointed

Much needed option for Families in Adelaide
I've been a member back in the US and quickly signed up when the Adelaide store was getting ready to launch. With 2 kids in the family we go through consumables at a terrific rate and Cosco is perfect for us to get the cost and quality we are looking for. In the US Costco was famous for high quality, low cost frozen foods and terrific value on day to day consumables as long as you were willing to buy their large quantities. The Adelaide store is massive and now sells a vast range of items. I find the quality/value excellent, but its not the kin...Read more
d of place in which you can dash in and out. We were really impressed with the low cost of their name brand clothing (like Levi's). The last trip we pickup up a pair of sneakers for my boy and a good quality basketball. The food has been really good, especially considering the price. Their petrol price is the lowest around (although you can beat it if you have a wooly's discount). Their low petrol price is forcing the other stations to match. The prices for duracell batteries in bulk is the best around. Overall you have to be willing to buy larger quantities and store them and in return you will get everyday prices that basically match or beat the competitor's sale price. Their pizzas are really really good and at $11.99 had to resist.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love costco gasoline
Costco gasoline opened recently in Adelaide, love the low petrol prices all round . Finally there is some competition for the regular fuel pumps who ripped us off for so long, and the auto pay system saves time as well.

Do you have toilet roll now
1 answer
The issue was never about the availability of toilet paper but the number of ar$^%*les who were storing it.
I didn't buy toilet paper at Costco's as I have always had a months supply in the house, but this isn't answering your question. The local supermarkets seem to have a good supply now and also of different brands. As far as Costco is concerned, I do not know.
