Good until it suddenly died
I have a few Cuisinart products and I really like them. This slow cooker was great until it died, unexpectedly. Of course, its out of warranty and I know what Sydney Cuisinart will tell me- throw it out! What an absolute waste going into landfill- its criminal. I will probably buy another as I like the program feature.
Purchased in November 2021 for A$189.00.

Excellent - until it died
I make bone broth weekly and this unit worked beautifully until suddenly the timer just didn't work anymore. That would would have been OK as I don't need the timer, but the unit does not work unless the timer is set. I've gone back to cooking on the stove top as I don't know what to buy.

To Buy Or Not To Buy?
After years of use my current slow cooker has cracked. So I'm desperately looking for another 6 1/2 litre slow cooker. I went to buy a Cuisinart PSC-650 and I found, on two occasions, that this slow cookers lid had quite substantial gaps between the lid and the ceramic insert. Yes, I'm aware that it's a slow cooker, not a pressure cooker, and that the lid does not need to be a snug fit, but never have I owned a slow cooker that had such huge gaps. Do all you that own this slow cooker have the same issue? Or am I just coming across dud Cuisinart...Read more
Slow Cookers? I understand that some steam does need to be released in the cooking process, but seriously, the gap I noticed on the cooker will release steam AND heat during cooking. Also, has anyone had any issues with the ceramic insert cracking? I just want a reliable 6 1/2 litre digital slow cooker (as most times I'm not home to switch it off, hence I need the digital type that automatically turns itself to keep warm) but unfortunately the supply in Australia is SERIOUSLY limited.Similar opinion?
