Be warned! Baiting Advertising!
Purchased a freezer on Monday said in stock. Chase them for three days and was on hold for over one hour five mins, no luck, then contacted them on social media said support team will contact me within 48 hours. Chatted with them online and finally notified that due to high demand; freezer will only be available between 8-12 weeks! lectronic store which reassure that all goods will be delivered within three days. Now wasting my time on chasing DJ for an item doesn’t even exist in stock. Loosing three valuable day of finding other suppliers for the item I want. Wasting valuable time on contacting and following them up on the phone, online chat, social media. I need to wait another 72 hours for DJ customer service to contact me re my full refund because of their baiting advertising. What a joke! This is my personal experience so be warned!!! I just realised that their customer service link said it that all freezers are out of stock. Therefore, their baiting advertising is unlawful and illegal based on the ACCC regulations. Just when you think the old dinosaur could get any worse
Today I have been waiting around for an express parcel to arrive from David Jones. Express meaning it should arrive the next day. Towards 5pm the parcel still hadn't turned up. Had to log onto the other old dinosaur's website @ Australia Post which gives you no details aside from saying "it's on its way". Call and speak to a representative at Australia Post who tells me David Jones haven't sent the parcel by express but by standard post. so long I went to chat. Started chatting online but after 15 minutes on phone hold someone finally answered so I ended the chat. Told the online customer service team about the parcel not turning up and got told they could issue a refund for the postage. All well and good but where is my parcel?? The customer service girl said it will come tomorrow. I asked her how she could guarantee that when Australia Post believes it has been sent standard. I was told she could "lodge a case" and it would take approximately 48 hours for someone to get back to me. Great response when you are tracking down a same day delivery. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold. Conveniently at 1 minute to 6pm whilst I was on hold I get cut-off. Funnily enough 6pm is when online service ends for the night. I then attempted to call back to speak to customer service and got Liz the virtual assistant again who has now had me on hold for "customer service" for 17 minutes. Disgusting level of service from this South African company. What has happened to David Jones since takeover. Everything has been downhill. Instead of reinventing the old dinosaur they have taken the store in the opposite direction. If this is the level of service retail is providing then don't whinge that we are shopping online from overseas. Whilst I am on here my last delivery, clothing from Country Road ordered on David Jones online store, looked like someone had slept in it when it arrived and back then it was rubbish service from both David Jones and from Country Road when I rang them about the issue.Similar opinion? Worst online shopping experience
Ordered multiple items. Two were completely wrong and I’ve had to return. Still waiting on the Afterpay refund! One item hasn’t even been sent, still waiting. Was on hold with customer service centre for over 30 minutes, they’re offshore and they can’t even track item. Said that service centre will get back in 24-48hrs. Useless. Never shopping with DJs online again!

Awful service
Staff at david jones parra are rude, arrogant and racist. I am Indian and i have experienced bad behaviour twice already and i have stopped goung there. I had gone there last year to buy Estee lauder foundation. I went to the kiosk and started looking at things. A lady approached me and i requested her for a shade match. The lady behaved like she was doing me a favour by helping me and was arrogant throughout. Her whole demeanour was like she was superior and me poor brown girl will not be able to afford this brand. hing.I was extremely polite with her so i do not know where her attitude was coming from. I felt so humiliated i left after trying it and went to Myers and bought the shade. I prefer to shop online from David jones now. I went to the same store again this year to return Michael kors shoes that i had purchased online, i was planning to buy them in a different colour. I was waiting for my turn in the queue and i noticed that the white lady at the return counter was friendly and kept smiling when talking to this white lady in front of me, and when my turn came her face and body language got arrogant. No smiles no friendliness. Really?? Do the ladies there think they are superior to us?? Operating a store in parra and being rude to immigrants?? I couldnt believe when this happened. taken my money - incredibly bad service and support
Ordered two items online.
They sent the wrong items, I returned them at my own expense requesting the correct items.
They then cancelled my order and issued a refund of 50% of the original purchase price.
I have received no correspondence, I have had to chase them constantly. My original order was Jan 24th it's now March 5th. I'm down over $172 and empty-handed.

Disappointing online experience
Placed an order to order 2 dinner sets, Royal Doulton, which were part of a house warming present, and they sent one completely different set to the one I ordered. It is so disappointing that I had to go empty handed to my friend's house and explain that the goods were wrong. So embarrassing! have ordered things from interstate and overseas and have never had an issue. Any wonder these big companies are going under and losing customers. I will never order online from David Jones again. My daughter ordered a dinner set from Myer, much cheaper, and no issues. We paid $350 for these sets, ridiclous. Now it's the issue if they still have them in stock still :(Similar opinion? Poor service and sends faulty items
I recently purchased an Aje tshirt online for $190, which David Jones had sent me a faulty tshirt with a white spot on a black top and a tag that said 30% and no exchange or refund. I sent David Jones and email on Monday afternoon to let them know what has occurred As well as Facebook and I still haven’t had a response regarding the faulty product which was purchased at full price

Wrong size supplied
I ordered a pair of sandals and was sent the wrong size. I was asked to return them and pay the postage back and i asked that they send the correct sizing and refund my cost of returning the shoes. Website Error Issue and Customer service
firstly I found there is an issue to browse items online, everytime when I browse a same item for more than 2-3 times or used store availabilty option, there would be a " Error" page shows which not alow me to continue, eventhough I tried to use different browser .

Item missing in online order. Still waiting ...Service? None.
I ordered 3 items from DJs online store. The parcel arrived with one item missing.
I rang customer service. Waited 20 mins for phone to be answered. She said it would be looked into. Next day she wanted me to look in the bubble wrap to see if the missing bottle was hiding somewhere in the box. Then she wanted photos of the box and it’s contents. They are still looking into it. No replacement item. No refund. (It was quite an expensive item). Looks as though I won’t have the item in time for the birthday they were for if I get the item at all. They say they want to be “upmarket”. Not with this attitude and lack of PR. I get much better service from Target and Myer. ‘Bye ‘bye DJs. You’ve lost a customer of 50 years.

David Jones repeated "ERROR" website issue
About 2-3 months ago I could not log onto the David Jones website. It continuously had an error message every time I attempted to log on or even view the website. I contacted customer service twice and they managed to fix the problem at their end. Some six weeks later the same problem has happened again.
Customer service told me this time to change my computer settings. I have had no issues with other retailer's websites. As a David Jones American Express cardholder, I guess this is when I just cut the card.

Worst online shopping experience
My order was only delivered a month post order. When it arrived, one of the four items were missing and there was a receipt from a third party (Hermanns) that indicates there’s a refund, but the refund is no where to be seen on my original card of purchase.

I wanted a button up shirt in the next size at a Gold Coast DJ store. They didn’t have it, so then looked up what stores did have one (one in Victoria). However, rather than ringing the store, the sales lady suggested I order online and they would check all Aus stores and send it to my home. So we did.
The sales lady ordered my item for me (at the store), made me pay for it ($160) and said if there was any issues, just bring back the receipt and they’d refund my money.

Slow process in refunding to my Afterpay account
Took 10 days to process the refund into my Afterpay account. This is unlike other merchants that can do the refund immediately at cash registers. Had to call them multiple times to discuss this issue. No wonder why everyone prefer to shop at other retailers. Furthermore, I am still waiting for my refund until now.

Poor product and service
Boots advertised by popular brand were misrepresented in terms of quality and colour.
Had to pay for return which is against consumer rights but I went along with it as too worried about getting the full refund.
Will never buy another thing from them again!
Always trusted their brand but it’s now rubbish!

Bad customer experience
Shopping at David Jones was one of the worst experiences I've had. I was looking to buy shoes for my forthcoming wedding. When visiting one of David Jones stores, I found a very suitable pair of shoes, but, unfortunately, my size was unavailable. During the first call, instead of transferring us to the shoe department, they just hung up. The second time, a girl on the line told us that it was not her department and instead of helping us out she just hung up saying "It is not the shoe department. Bye". When we arrived at Burwood, it turned out that they were also out of stock. We asked to provide us with an explanation for why this had happened, but they refused to help us. Terrible customer service
I have experienced the worst online shopping experience with David Jones. I ordered a dryer 8 days ago no correspondence at all. I had to contact them in regards to my order. Today 8 days later after numerous phone calls I receive a email saying product not available for a month. I can’t complain about the service as there simply isn’t any. David Jones really shouldn’t do online sales.

Trying to call a store
I've had to call the Chatswood Chase store a couple of times over the last week and you have to talk to a "virtual assistant" After waiting over 5Mins and asking to be put through to Chatswood Chase they put me through to Chadstone, VIC.
The virtual assistant is currently putting me through to a receptionist - I've been on hold for 12mins and counting.
If department stores continue offering such poor service no wonder they are closing down and customers buy online from other sources.

Yep very busy closing stores
Called out about why my order was not dispatched 2 weeks ago and gave me a claim number, 2 weeks after order still progress. I have inform them that I want a refund, and they said they will email a resolution team and should get in to contact with me soon. Still no response.
