Tried the whole week trying to access the circuit board no luck. I took the frame torque screws off but no frame part moves. Ordered another DEBETA 90 as the same model number is still available even after 10 years. So maybe something good about this model as it has one of the highest airflow capacity for the price but thanks to COVID delivery from Chinese ship may be a month or more away as Goodguys charged me $900 with install even with 10% discount. Will keep trying to remove the circuit board as nothing to lose now.

Persistence paid off finally got the Button box out of the Canopy but slightly cracked the power switch in the process. Took for ever and had to use 2 mirrors as you cannot see the two screws holding it and you need a slim long handle torque screw driver end as well. 70 cent Capacitor from Jaycar's and we are back in business fingers crossed. Now to cancel my $900 China order hopefully.

Hi, I have a similar issue with my Delongi Debeta 60 rangehood. The 3 fan speeds all work fine but not the spotlights (though all the blue control lights work fine). Managed to get the control board out by dismantling the frame. Control box shows black scorch marks below the RL1 relay (a SRD-S-112D which AliExpress has for around NZD5). Is this the same as your issue and if so, how easy are these for DIYer to replace?

Looks like all of us that bought that unit have same issues. Not a good design or a good service from apparently great company. Keep me informed if any of you resolve this problem with the blue lights. Thanks

Did you manage to fix this? We are having the same issues. Thanks

Same issue here. I'll report back once I work out what the problem is. I'm guessing it's most likely the control module that hosts the buttons. Must be some kind of common short circuit or corrosion issue. I'll likely crack it open and inspect my unit this week.

Hi all I have rang the company and the only answer I got was, we can sell you the new unit as its out of warrantee," not happy " My unit is actually new, newer used as we stil haven't shifted in to the apartment. To me this means that the electronic module inside the unit is a faulty design.

Hi Wardrop - perfect solution, although my unit is 5 years ? old - suddenly the blue light stayed on, and nothing worked. Hard part was to remove the switch block LOL - but then off to Jaycar to buy a $0.75 capacitor. Installed on circuit board - all works perfectly again ! Thanks heaps.

I have a BETA120SS Delonghi range hood and it obviously uses the same control board. My issue was that the whole unit just died! Delonghi are completely out of stock of these modules. So, a big thanks to Wardrop for pointing to this capacitor. After days of scouring the net I saved $150 on a new module(which is not available anyway) and the range hood works perfectly! $1 for the part and 30min of my time. Done!

I recently purchased a DEBETA90 (3 months ago) and now, there is a leak of oil from the motor and the oil drips directly into the cook top. both sides of the motor were leaking oil. Is there something wrong done during installation? I hired a professional electrician to instal this.

Hello Elizabeth,
Is the oil just accumulated cooking oil? Yes oil does drip off the sides of the central unit, but it should be captured onto the filters. The filters are dishwasher compatible so you can simply pop them into the dishwasher to clean them. I assume it is leaking through the filter onto the cooktop. If you don't have a chance to put the filters into the dishwasher, change the middle filter with the left or right and the the filter should be able to catch the dripping oil. I have a fully vented flue on mine. Ie if you have a vented or recirculating system, you can expect oil to accumulate on the filters from the central motor. Best of luck with this.
