DeLonghi DEBETA90 (90 cm)

We had chosen this model as the specifications said that the flue - and we assumed, the cover- would extend to 1325 mm and we needed 1250 mm to reach our ceiling (from the top of the rangehood) . However, when the cover was unpacked it comes in 2 parts, the bottom is 540 mm and the top is 560 mm- this does not equal 1325 mm. Plenty of flexi-pipe to carry the air out, but the stainless steel cover is 100 mm too short. I called place of purchase (Appliances Online) to try and explain the issue but they were not helpful. Delonghi Canopy Rangehood DEBETA90.

We settled on this range-hood because it had the longest flue (and extension piece), as our ceiling in the kitchen is quite high. It was either that, or have a new flue manufactured by a sheet metal factory, which would have cost as much as the range-hood. As we had just had a brand new kitchen installed, we didn't want any additional expense.

We are extremely happy with the range-hood. It looks great sitting above our stainless steel 900mm freestanding duel-fuel oven. I thought it might look bulk...

Had to replace the PCB for $200 in 2015, plus call out $88. 2 weeks ago, motor stopped working. Another $88 call out diagnosed the death of the motor. We need a new rangehood. It was good whilst it lasted, but was I unlucky or does it only has a very limited lifespan? My Mother in law has exactly the same model and hers is over 10 years old.

We had this rangehood for 8 years. It worked nicely, only need to change the lamp. It stop working one day. Similar problem as Helen from sydney. The pcb and switch board are broken. It cost me $165 to check the problem (also the Delonghi dishwasher is broken, but reason unkown). The part cost $134 and estimate labour fee is $110.

But when I like it to fix, they told me it need to be wait for 4-12 weeks. ( so far two weeks ) because delonghi doesn't has parts.

I can't wait four months.... Might just buy a new one instead. Hope it can last 10 year!
