Delonghi Dedica KG 521 - Wont grind on fine settings
First one was sent back due to constant jamming on the fine setting. second unit does the same.
It only works when you run the beans through a course grind first then then again on the fine setting which is not how a coffee grind should be. Between the 2 units, they would have a run time of about 5 min. It will be getting sent back for refund as not fit for purpose.
Purchased in January 2021 at Amazon for $150.00.

Somewhat of a disappointment
Was looking for a decent coffee grinder (my first) to supplement my new espresso machine. Was hoping to secure something stylish which would function well and suit the appearance of my newly renovated kitchen.
Not so happy to report …I don’t think the Delonghi KG521.M is it.
Appearance
The Delonghi machine is eye-catching, being finished in gleaming stainless steel with black accenting. Matches perfectly to my existing Delonghi Espresso maker.
Outwardly, it appears to have a strong build quality with no flimsy parts evident. I feel it should ...Read more

Espresso grind is not fine enough
I have a Breville Grinder Pro that I've been using and am able to get a good espresso with it. I bought this for the office and the grind on the espresso setting is still quite coarse and is unsuitable for making espresso. I instead have been using it with my Aeropress with reasonable results.
Apparently from reading other reviews online, the espresso grind is not suitable for a prosumer unpressurized portafilter. HOWEVER, even with my pressurized basket I am still getting unfavorable results--brown foam (instead of dark liquid) coming out of my machine immediately after pre-infusion and until completion of the pull.
It would be helpful if Delonghi could respond with some trick or way to adjust the fine-ness of the grind.

Don’t buy it if you like a good espresso!
DeLonghi Coffee Grinder KG 521
With this DeLonghi grinder KG 521 I’m not able to grind coffee beans fine enough to get good espresso.
My previous DeLonghi grinder KG 100 was excellent.
I did expect equal quality or better.
I wrote to customer support, however I never received a reply.
