Takes a bit to get used to but great for travelling !
I bought this at a camping show a couple of years ago, checked out all of the other Thermal Cookers but decided this one was the best out of the bunch! I was convinced when they cooked a lamb leg and it was the first thing I tried when I got it home :-) I used it a lot when we went caravanning for a year, did all kinds of stuff but curries and stews (slow cooking) works the best. It takes a little to get your head around the method but works a treat!

Wonderful Pot and wonderful Crew to deal with.
My 5lt DreamPot arrived to day, I had a Mustard Chicken in the slow cooker and decided to finish the next 5 hours cooking in the DreamPot. Wow it's wonderful, I love the accessories also, they are going to come in very handy, I love making my own bread, cakes and puddings. I have seen many of these type pots but the DreamPot is by far the best, and yes very easy to clean after you have finished. If you are looking at getting a great camping pot then you can't go past the DreamPot, the quality has to be the best I have seen and you will find it is not only great for camping, you will be able to find use for it in your every day life, I know I will. Fantastic 'thermal cooker' for the cook who doesn't want to stand over/mind a stove
What a brilliant piece of 'thermal cooking' technology.
I've only had it a week or so and already it's proved itself to be a brilliant design concept.
The 5L main pot is large enough for a 'regular' sized family and the smaller inner 2.3L pot holds enough to make a complimentary side dish.
The DVD supplied is well dated and the voice sync is problematic (sorry to the owner's wife in the dvd but it's a woeful DVD) Unfortunately, there are only a couple of recipes on the DVD which is more like a promotional DVD however, given that the DV...Read more
D is offered separately it makes NO sense to then offer a mainly promotional DVD after a customer has purchased! There are numerous videos by Dreampot on Youtube and it's a pity theses were not included in the DVD as that would make more sense. Eco pot does the same thing
I bought an Eco pot as someone I know had one that I could try before I bought. I can only say it is brilliant. We have used it to cook stews, curries, corned silverside, rice and golden syrup dumplings over the past few months. You literally part cook food on the stove and then put the pot into the thermal container, close it and leave for as many hours as you need. Good stays hot for many hours and never seems to overlook. I cook rice for one minute on the stove and place the pot iinto the thermal container. An hour (or 4 hours) later it's soft, fluffy and hot!! A brilliant investment for camping or just for preparing an evening meal before you head out for
the day

Dream Pot 6 Litre
An absolute fantastic appliance to take camping. It cooks while you drive. No electricity, just prep on the stove for 20 minutes max before you leave for your trip, i cooked delish orange lamb shanks before we left.10 hours later we had dinner. No trying to set up camp and worry bout cooking, that parts done.. It has two inner pots so you can even make a dessert in the top pot while dinner cooks in the other pot. Can be used as a warmer, or cooler..rice maker..yogurt .. I own two 6 litre dream pots and wouldn't be with out them.

Awesome must have for camping !
The 5 ltr dream Pot has two pots that cook all day without any power! . Add your meal on the pot, place the Pot into a large saucepan and heat on the stove for 20 mins stirring occasionally . Remove pot place in Thermal cooker close lid! and thats all there is too it! No power needed the meal cooks slowly on its own in the thermal cooker.
The pot comes with cook books instructions and a dvd. It was really good value for money I brought it directly from Dream Pot in Brisbane they posted it fast too.
