Absolute Rubbish I can believe that it ran for less than a minute before failing
Wish I had read these reviews beforehand :( Purchased from Bunnings 3 days ago, went to use it today and it ran for about 30-45 seconds and then failed, I just can't believe it, how does this company stay in business? Bunnings have offered either replacement or full refund, good for them.
Purchased in March 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for A$128.00.

Buy some other brand
I've owned this for 14 months but used it very little, less than 10 hours in total in that time. Yesterday it failed, simply stopping running, no smoke or noise. Having searched the internet for likely problems I found that the speed control is a common fault. In my case this was not so. The fault was a broken wire in the motor field winding, the break being at the plug connector used to supply the field. This tool has many such low quality plugs, and the insulation displacement technique used on this very thin single conductor of the fi...Read more
eld winding, coupled with unavoidable vibration from the motor running, makes such a failure almost inevitable. While i did repair it, it most certainly will happen again. My recommendation? Buy a different brand, it's pretty certain that this construction technique is used in other dremel rotary tools.
Purchased in December 2021 for A$120.00.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
I bought a Dremel 2000 at first and that lasted a mere 10 mths. Bunnings was very understanding and suggested that instead of replacing it, would I pay an extra $26 and purchase the Dremel3000. I agreed. The warranty on the 2000 was 2yrs, and on the 3000 it was 5 yrs. I thought, “AHA”, they have realised and admitted their 2000 was up to .......! Woe and behold the3000 multi speed setting failed within2 weeks and 2 weeks later the motor just died. The good.-Bunnings .The bad- dremel 2000. The ugly- dremel 3000. It would appear obvious from oth...Read more
er reviews that they do not do replacements only repairs. WHY? I think the company needs to rethink a little or a lot and realise they are in business only because “We” the customers put them there and can keep them there, or not.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor quality
Bought at Bunnings outback area. Less than six months after light use stopped working. Dremel would not provide warranty through retailer even though it's their product...because i did not have a receipt .
Bunnings replaced at their cost, even though dremel wouldn't back you up as retailer for THEIR product.
Shame on dremel Australia poor service

Very poor quality construction and electrics.
I had the chance to repair one of these, which was dead. Got it going after some soldering of a broken stator wire, but I don't think it will have a long life. Too many dodgy quick-assembly connectors, and the plastic brush covers are made from some plastic which is far too soft. They were badly damaged by my careful use. Shoddy quality.

Poor Build Quality. Slow Repair Time.
Initially worked quite well as described by Dremel, but after a month the lock button started to seize and occasionally not work. Then after less then 3 months the engine burnt out and had to be returned to seller to be repaired (Dremel do not do replacements, only repairs). It has now been 3 weeks and still no tool. I would have expected much better from a reputable brand.

I was going to buy the Dremel 3000, but after reading the reviews above, I won't be. Surely there's an equally better product?
