Best thing since sliced bread...

I was given the eco egg for whites and coloured, and wasn’t convinced it would work.. well let me tell you my clothes come out clean, even my gardening or renovation gear. I love the idea of no harsh chemicals as we are on septic system it is perfect for this. Laundry detergents are off my shopping list.

Excellent Product

As I have sensitive skin and sinus allergies, products like this are ideal for me. I also add vinegar and bicarbonate soda to my washing, both natural products. For those of you worried about the smell from the pellets, you can add eucalyptus oil, as I do with my bedsheets, or some other fragrance. For stubborn stains, nonchemical stain removers are also available.

Love this product!

I don’t understand the negative reviews. To the reviewer who said this is a scam, have you actually tried this product? The only reason someone would write such a thing is if they are benefiting monetarily from commercial detergents which are horrible for our bodies and environment. Think about how much plastic goes into
Our landfills from regular detergent. This product should be advertised on USA TV. It would put the detergent companies out of business! This is a great product and you certainly do not achieve same results with water!

Love it except for the smell

published

I have been using this product for a month and a similar product for 10 years. I like the way it cleans but the chemical smell that it leaves on clothes takes some getting used to. The package says that it has a lavender scent but it isn't noticeable. I will continue to use it but I wish the manufacturer could do something about the smell.

Can’t believe!

I purchased the duo package on Hsn and am absolutely floored with the condition of my clothes. I have white sheets and white batiste type drapes in my Bedroom and they always turn out lovely. In Florida I believe we have hard water and so I occasionally add a few tbsp of liquid detergent (and because I have to use it up and oxi clean) and my colored and whites are terrific. I raise parrots and so it frequently necessary for me to spot both colored and whites occasionally and I often cut up their fresh fruit and veggies and towels with no special treatment and I love this product. I’m telling everyone about how great it is ...I do admit to having trouble opening the eggs though. No allergy problems

The emperors new clothes

I have tested this myself with 3 white cloths I rubbed on the dirty patio. Washed them all 1 at a time in the washing machine. 1 with detergent. 1 with the egg. 1 with water. I found the detergent worked best and the egg and water gave the same results. Not as good but not terrible.
I would like to see some scientific proof that it does something other than bash the clothes about.

Did not get out even small stains.

No suds as on HSN. Came without the white egg and packets so sending another. If no better than colored will probably send both back. Not worth the trouble. Water does the same job on the clothes. I tested it!!!

I've been using this for about six months, doing at least one load of laundry a day. My laundry looks and smells clean. My towels seem to stay fresh longer than with traditional detergent. I'm very happy with this product!

X3 Teens Works Fantastic

published

I have x3 Teens and I love this product gets boy smells out of socks and brings them crisp white. While I notice the smell on clothes while wet you can't smell after clothes have hung on line which is perfect in my opinion. Have found so long as you don't add detergents to clothes with egg you don't get slimy film on clothes ie, fab softener, disenfect ant etc...

Do not waste your time.

ecoegg not working

I have no evidence of detergent in clear water after agitating "egg" In a bowl of water. It isn't working for me! Ok so I would not recommend this product because it does not work. I have notified [email protected] to express my concern. As of this writing I have not received a response.

I was looking forward to not having to buy soap powder again but my washing just isn't clean looking. My whites are dull and all the stains are still in after washing. Tea towels are shocking, too awful to hang them on the line! very disappointed in this product, shall start buying detergent again

Caused greasy looking stains

published

I started using this product after it sat for a month. After about 20 washes I started getting greasy smears on my clothes which I can not get out. Very upsetting since the are on all of my hospital scrubs!! I can not get the egg open to try and put more product in it. Seems like the company is not responding to any of the post. Not sure what to do at this point since it only has 30 day refund. Very disappointed.☹

The damn thing is way too hard to open unless you have gorilla hands

I just spent 20 min trying to open the egg to no avail. Not user friendly haven't even been able to test effectiveness. Think it's going to be a dog toy.

Its the thought that counts...

If the ecoegg stays in the washing machine through the wash AND rinse cycles, is it not washing during the final old water rinseing?

My understanding is that the ecoegg assists the washing process by softening the water to allow the fabric fibers to open and release the soil. Consequently, it wouldn't matter if the ecoegg is left during the rinse cycle.

That’s a great question! Hmmmm. I’ve been using the egg for several months, maybe a year and can say with a 100% certainty that I can’t live without it! I have bad allergies and this is the only product that I’ve found to thoroughly clean and not make me sneeze, wheeze and itch! My clothes feel and smell clean, even better than detergent. While I cannot give you a scientific answer about the rinsing, I can assure you that my clothes feel more thoroughly “rinsed” than they would with traditional detergent. Try it!

Thank you for replies - very helpful. I will use the egg as per instructions & count the number of times it does complete washes to see how close to the 70 washes as stated on the pack. Something tells me that IF it was possible to remove the egg prior to the final rinse, the egg would last a little longer for actual washing?

I’ve been using eco egg for a few months now and love it. I do occasionally need to use a bit of chlorine bleach in some white loads. Will this hurt the egg or the pellets? I’ve searched everywhere for the answer. I know bleach isn’t eco friendly but need to use it on occasion.

I’ve used it since it was first avail on shopping network and am disappointed that it is not generally available for purchase on regular market. I absolutely love it and frequently add a little liquid detergent (just because I have it in hand) as well as Oxi Clean and bleach for stained rags. I bought what I could on the off market when I found it. Difficulty I have is opening eggs for refills. I keep wondering why there isn’t more of a clamor for it. I love white whites and mine all look teriffic.

I use cold water for all my washes. Ecoegg performs perfectly well.
